“The player development is the main thing I like (about Michigan),” Williams said. “You can see that they develop their players. They get them in the gym and they work them hard. And their hard work pays off.”

ESPN just bought a ton of real estate in Cleveland. If Lebron signs with the Cavaliers, ESPN will move their studios to Cleveland. With Johnny football, Lebron James and Tim Tebow working at a local Burger King, ESPN would never have to leave the city of Cleveland

Sanders retired. It wasn't like he went and played for Chicago for less money.
A-rod Signed the biggest contract in baseball history when he left Seattle.
None of these where covered like Lebron leaving Cleveland.
It's extremely hard to find a legit comparrison when talking about Lebron's decision. Where ever Lebron goes is a contender for a national championship.

for what it's worth, most people don't even know who John U. Bacon is and don't really care.
If the team was winning even fewer would care.

Let's not forget Funchess had 49 catches for 749 yards. He had a ton of drops that a college WR should have caught. That has nothing to do with Borges.

You're entitled to your own opinion. Without a question right now it's not even close and i cant comment on the 40ies since I was even thought of but, for most of my life 1975 till now, I'll say Michigan was equal to and in most cases better than the Alabama brand.
It's hard to really seperate schools like Alabama, Michigan, USC, Nebraska, Ohio State and Notre Dame as far as historical greatness goes.

10-2 really isn't the best case scenario. You're talking about losing to MSU and Ohio I'm taking it. Msu returns 4 starters on defense, granted they have smacked us around but come on now, have a chance here. We came with in a 2 point convertion of beating OSU last year with a very young/ confused O line.
We have a ton of players who we have been waiting to turn the corner for awhile. Frank Clark and Jake Ryan are playing for their futures now. 10-2 should be the floor not the ceiling. Everybody on our schedule is extremely beatable. We play in the Big Ten which has sucked for almost a decade.

The last few years someone has stepped up and became a more complete player than they where the year before. Early enteries into the NBA are the name of the game in college basketball. I mean who thought Nik stauskas would turn out like he did this last year or Trey would be so ridiculous the year before. Someone will take the reins and surprise us all.
Let's face it we never been a great rebounding or defensive team. We'll be fine next year our coaching staff working with guard devolopement is amazing. I look for Walton and Levert to have huge years next year

School drug tests are completely different than NCAA drug tests. I'm 100% positive if this was a school test during the tourney he would have passed.
|13 weeks 4 days ago||They test during the tourney||
They test during the tourney EVERY year. If you fail an NCAA drug test during the tourney that's pretty stupid. It would be different if it was a suprise test. Way to think of your future Mitch...

You're skipping a big detail. The victim was allegedly threatened by Lewan. You dont know if this happend or if the school pressured her into not pressing charges. The "fact" patterns are a lot more a like than you'ld like to admit.
|14 weeks 5 days ago||The one thing that is||
The one thing that is simular is that if you look at both cases, you're not happy with how they where handled overall. I'm not going to pretend i know what happend in the Gibbons situation and honestly I wasn't singling out U of M and FSU. The fact of the matter is FSU, U of M, MSU, Penn State and Colorado have all had high profile rape/ sexual assault investigations involving athletes mishandled. If you put that with the growing number of NFL players being charged and convicted of multiple rape/ sexual assault charges then you see it's a huge problem.
|14 weeks 6 days ago||It's still a pattern in||
It's still a pattern in college sports. When the NCAA punished PSU, it wasn't directly for the Sandusky case. They were punished for the for the culture that had allowed these atrocities to happen, be covered up and when brought to light ultimately shrugged off by PSU faithful.
For whatever the reason, there have been 5 major universities recently who have botched or ignored sexual assault and or rape investigations involving athletes from a major sports team. If 5 have made major news outlets, it makes you wonder how many are still being covered up elsewhere.
