He had a great shooting percentage from short range, basically the only range from which he shot. I would like to have seen him dunk more. The empty netter against Syracuse in the FF was my favorite. Browser won't let me post pic. Link:

I had started to walk out of the stadium after Nienberg's late miss. When we got the ball back and Navarre started tacopantsing, I was tempted to leave again.
Our seats were close to the section exit. My brother stopped so I stopped.
I still can't believe we won that game. Maybe more celebratory cursing than any UM game except the basketball win at MSU in 2011.

do not like the sound of this Jamboree Slayer guy.
|4 days 41 min ago||Can you blame them?||
All of that cheating by the refs on our behalf, the extra seconds we got in 2005, beating them nine straight times when if we had any decency we would have let them win out of respect for Joe Paterno's legacy, stealing Chad Henne from them, our stubborn refusal to enable a child molester for decades and lie about it...
Clearly we have a lot to answer for.

Yet he's taking an official visit to Ann Arbor. Intriguing.

Highly rated running back out of Los Angeles that USC wanted (#foreshadowing) and we had Anthony Thomas the year ahead of him. But he picked us. Thanks Wisconsin.
|5 days 44 min ago||That was a Euro soccer-level flop||
His face wasn't a problem when he was arm-barring the guy. Totally cheap attempt to get a foul called.
That "slap" was along the lines of Jonas Mouton's "punch" of the Notre Dame player that drew a suspension. Allen deserves more of the Rod Sellers-Christian Laettner treatment.

Looks like he shouldn't have left for Stanford in the first place ($%&@# Sheridan and Threet as starters), though unless he was going to play D I don't think he would have saved Rodriguez' job.

would get starter minutes in the post, and considering how we play I use the term "post" very loosely.

A year ago, Mark Donnal scored 26 points and grabbed 9 rebounds against this team. Mav "You're right, I am dangerous" Morgan had 6 and 0 in 12 minutes.
Of course, there have been few pleasant surprises out of our team since then, and plenty of rotten ones.
We host them in nine days. I'd like to see us knock Morgan around a little bit and earn a big win. But I don't expect it.

Not sure why.
I looked at Florida's season that year. Talking heads jabbered about our team not playing any games outside of Michigan. Florida played 10 games in the state of Florida that year, including the BCS title game. Their forays outside of the state:
At Arkansas (finished 5-7)
At Tennessee (finished 5-7)
At Vanderbilt (finished 7-6)
The SEC championship game in Atlanta against then #1 Alabama

Kehres should hold out for the OSU job.
|2 weeks 21 hours ago||Indeed||
He is the Fetch of coaching.
|2 weeks 21 hours ago||That would be very interesting||
although I don't know if Kehres has any interest in leaving the dynasty he helped perpetuate and now has inherited. If he were going to leave Mount Union for a MAC job I would expect him to pick a school in Ohio.
Side note: Going 12-2 (8-1 in conference, 2nd place) and losing in the semifinal is Mount Union's worst year since 1991.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||That's awful||
I remember a lot of howling when a high school team sharpened their helmet strap buckles to exact a little revenge from an opposing team's head slaps. A season-long orchestrated campaign of low blows is in the same bin.
|2 weeks 2 days ago||I'd like Pittsburgh but our schedules are not compatible||
I looked at it a while back and couldn't figure out a mutually agreeable arrangement. They have the Penn State series and it doesn't mesh with our ND series. That would be a great road trip.
Since the SEC teams (except for the one we scheduled and then dumped, ha ha pig boy) are too wimpy to come north, home-and-homes with ACC teams will have to do. Va Tech is a good one. What about Miami or North Carolina?

Ohio State's decision to pick on the freshman cornerback in 1995, rather than the more experienced Woody Hankins and Tyrone Noble.
The footage is also noteworthy because it shows Deion tackling a guy.
