UM vs. Iowa MBB Open Thread

We have no offensive flow. That is how you beat Michigan. Wouldn't be surprised to see every other opponent from here on out to use the same defensive gameplan.

Beilein and Stauskas need to figure out what to do when they put a small, quick guy on him.  It's the blueprint to beat us and both IU and Iowa have executed it to perfection.

Two years ago when we won a share of the conference crown, we played at Iowa who finished last in the conference and they beat us by 18. It was a disgusting and embarrassing loss....Iowa's only victory in all of January and Februaury. But in that game, we STILL had a better effort than this.

No defense!  The task has to be to improve the defense or we could be looking at an early exit from the tourney regardless of the seed.  They are being out hussled at every turn.

This is message time. Morford, Stauskas and Glenn need to get off the court and stay off. I'd put in Dakich's son, it doesn't even matter. They need to understand that lazy, sulky plan can't be rewarded with minutes. 

I'm going to say the struggle in this game and the IU is because of a total lack of effort from our big men. Pathetic effort. I think this is the first time we have truly missed mcgary

Is it bad to say that I'm not sure I want GR3 on the team?  I don't think he sucks, he's incredibly talented, but he just seems to really not care.  And to have the talent but not care to use it ... I don't know.  I don't get it.

you really can't be surprised. Iowa came in desperate and would beat Syracuse today. Our quit is disappointing though. Robinson is embarrassing

1.  Teams that shoot 59% from three will win almost every game.

2.  Teams that do not play defense will allow the occasional opponent to shoot 59% from three.

This is probably the most pathetic effort I've seen since @MSU when we got throttled by 25 or whatever. I haven't seen GR3 break a sweat in the last few games.

They didn't play well vs MSU and they've brought it on both ends. Their D has effectively shut down UM. They were better today and it is ok to acknowledge that.

Is it weird if I want to see Stauskas force shots more. The fact that he has less shot attempts than GR3 is pathetic. I'm tired of watching our best player passing to players who have no chance of creating or scoring consistently. I want to see some hero ball as bad as that sounds. He has the ability to hit anything and taking 5 shots is worthless
