Ryan Day suggests OSU lost because the team was ill

The guy who demanded to play despite COVID now says his team endured “significant” illness during the M game, despite the fact that pretty much all his starters played. What a weasel.

If Ohio State suffered 15 years worth of debilitating QB injuries to go along a smattering of other injuries to key players in the immediate run up to the Michigan - Ohio State game, coupled with historically egregious referee screw jobs every now and then that directly cause them to lose to us, I would still suggest Ryan Day go and fuck himself.  They will almost certainly never experience the density of back luck and bad timing that Michigan has suffered leading up to this game over the last 15 years.

Fuck Ohio.

No doubt they were sick of getting pimp slapped around the big house..

Hell, it was so bad that I was almost sick of watching it too...almost

Exactly what an entitled brat born on 3rd base would say.

Good.  We're in the coward's head now.

Spend time making excuses instead of fixing what's wrong...love it.

We had a flu outbreak on campus so bad that the CDC deployed extra resources to help out.  But of course OSU was the only team with sick players on November 27.  Sure.

Day is feeling the heat if he has dig out excuses like this.

When you start making excuses as a coach, there is no stopping. Soon, your players will be making those excuses. Now, I am not sure if they are going to beat UTAH.

I think Utah should be strongly favored.  Not only does Utah play physical and run the ball well, but OSU will not be nearly as motivated for that game as Utah.  Utah is excited to be there, while OSU suffered as big of a disappointment as possible.  Teams that are disappointed to go to whatever bowl they are in don't fare well.

He is probably laying the groundwork for future excuses.

Some of their amazing WRs won't play - why risk injury since they will have a legitimate chance at being selected in the 1st or 2nd rounds.

So imagine a power running team with a decent defense playing OSU WITHOUT those wideouts - we saw some amazing catches save 3rd and very long - it could get ugly in a long slow methodical way.

This is case in point of why he won’t be there after next year. He will either beat Michigan and bolt for the NFL going out on a high or he will lose twice in a row and get ran out of town. He has no ties to Ohio St and this excuse is him not owning up to getting his ass handed to him that day. Go Utah!!!

They could have the whole roster out for five straight years and it still wouldn't offset all the good fortune they've had the past twenty years.

OT: Can't prove it, but I think they've cheated more than us during that time, too ...
