Noon kickoff for Illinois

Not unexpected, but maybe the most humane kickoff time given it should be cold, but at least they’ll be some sun to help things feel somewhat warm.  Noon kick would have been great yesterday, but we all survived.

Go Blue!  Beat Illinois!

I imagine that being a left handed guitarist or bassist was probably quite the challenge back in the early days of rock.  Left handed instruments were much less common than right handed.  And most of these soon to be icons of music had humble upbringings where just going and buying an instrument wasn't easy to begin with.  But then they had to track down a left handed instrument to boot.  IDK, maybe I am making more of this than was the actual case.

Thank you, GBGW!

Jimi was an artist who genuinely needed to wear an earpiece on stage. He couldn't hear himself well enough to know when his voice was off key. On stage, his guitar was usually perfect, his voice was not.

One of Jimi's fondest wishes was to play with a symphony one day. That wish was not granted to him, he didn't last long enough. But Slow Hand, Eric Clapton, did in 1990, with Michael Kamen conducting.

Speaking of Kirk, it's worth noting that this will be Michigan's last game on ABC for the foreseeable future. Although I believe the less ESPN the better, it's still odd as ABC has been a big part of Michigan football coverage for as long as I have been watching.

But the glory days of ABC Sports College Football and Keith Jackson and four games regionally at 3:30 are long gone.

ABC has the game. I don't see anything listed for the Fox noon, I assume they will have TCU -Baylor.

Could do a lot worse than a 2Michigan v. 3 TCU semifinal. I don't want to see an all SEC championship game.

I've been wondering, would they do a Georgia v Tennessee rematch? Right now it's looking like the order is:

1) Georgia
2) OSU/UM winner
3) Undefeated TCU
4) 1-loss P12 Champ USC
5a) 1-loss Tennessee
5b) 1-loss UM/OSU loser
6) 1-loss ACC Champ Clemson

If USC and TCU both lose 1, I can see them moving Tennessee up to 3. But if one wins out, and they're choosing between 1-loss teams, I don't see Tennessee getting a rematch.

Is it crazy to think that TCU or USC winning out could help the UM/OSU loser? As long as both don't and take the last 2 spots.

My buddy and I are attending. Had to dig the old hunting suit out of storage to be cleaned. My outfit might be at least partly Camo but my heart will be Maize and Blue.
