NFL Undrafted Free Agents (open thread) [updated 4/29 @ 11:15p]
Here are some links (below). I will try to stay up-to-date with Michigan players, but after 3 days of the draft...I'm going to let the sun hit my skin while it's still up. Feel free to add signings of any relevant player - Michigan players will be updated here in the OP.

- Ben Braden -
- De'Veon Smith - Miami Dolphins
- Erik Magnuson - San Francisco 49ers
- Channing Stribling - Cleveland Browns
- Kenny Allen - Baltimore Ravens
- Kyle Kalis - Washington.
- Dymonte Thomas - Denver Broncos
- Matt Godin - Houston Texans
the job Coach Harbaugh and the rest of the staff has done with the lack of O-line depth, and lack of development from the previous staff. To have consecutive back to back 10 win seasons is amazing. Now imagine how good this team is going to be with the addition of Coach Frey and some more recruiting cycles.
I'm surprised Stribling didn't get drafted, but what an outstanding few days for Michigan! 11 picks ... wow.
OP: I'd suggest adding Matt Godin to your list.
Anyone else? I was going off guys I had on my draft watch rather than guys who could be uFAs.

In a thread earlier I said 1% chance Strib doesn't get drafted...well I have to find some recipes for crow. Pretty unbelievable that a 6'2, top 5 cover guy in all of college ball last year doesn't get drafted. I guess teams thought his run support was that bad.
I'll be too busy laughing
Stribling finishing the year in the top 5 in coverage is an objective fact. He had one of the 5 lowest completion percentages when thrown at and PFF had him in their top 4 corners for cover grades.
Stribling was starting over Clark until Clark's injury. They both started the opener when Lewis was out, then the starter were Lewis and Stribling when JD came back. Clark obviously played a lot because we had 3 great corners, but JD and Strib were the top 2.
Stribling did fine in coverage in our OOC games in the last year-plus, IIRC, so I don't buy the "shit B1G QBs" argument.
I think the other posts in the thread are right: his speed was marginal enough to offset the perceived value of his height, and then the combination of bad tape against the run and that abysmal bench press stat really cut his feet out from under him in the draft.
It's a shame, because I think the kid can just play. Hopefully he can earn a year or two on the Browns' practice squad (or another team's) and make the most of his chance to address those issues.

Stribling is not a top 5 cover guy. Not even the best cover guy on his team (Lewis is)
Gotta imagine every single one of those guys gets picked up. How many make it to the fall, we'll see.
to the 49ers
I think D Thomas can make it. I think someone is going to get a steal.
He should of had a redshirt year.
I could care less about your comment

Dymonte saved the day consistently when others missed their assignment or tackle. IMO he was the reason we beat Colorado.
By that token, he might also be the biggest culprit in how we lost to FSU. Catastrophic mental errors for a senior, long-time starter in that setting.
the Texans
Denver
to the Redskins
to join Peppers with the Browns
Allen to the Ravens as a punter
Shocked Allen didn't go high
Miami

If he had better field vision and didn't run away from holes or into the back of his own guys, he would be an absolute beast for any team. Hopefully he gets a good shot somewhere.

Ignorant comment of the day award.
Early in his career? Absolutely. Late in his career? Not at all. Your comment couldn't be any more inaccurate for the player he is today.

Pompous motherfucker award of the day to you. NFL scouts disagree with you but whatever. You always think you know everything and make a lot of ignorant comments as well. Whether you like it or not, that is the prevailing knock on him with REAL NFL scouts. It's fine to be a huge homer as you are, but some things are just obvious.
