NCAA Football Games you've been to that didn't involve Michigan
What college football games have you been to that didn't involve Michigan?
I went to Morgantown, WV in 1998 for WVU vs Ohio State. A good friend of mine went to OSU and took me on a roadtrip.
I went to Columbia, SC in the mid 2000's for a game between SC and Alabama, my wife went to USC (they're insistent on calling themselves USC also)

West Point. Made it to several games. Its a category of college sports unto itself. Not like college but not like pros. Very cool.

Toledo vs Kansas in 07. That was a good one. Kansas fans travel surprisingly well. It was fun to kick their butts.

I watched the Michigan game in the afternoon, and then in the evening saw Marshall pound on some poor MAC team.
I've also seen a bunch of Badger games. The free ticket supply dried up in the late nineties, though, and I think the last game was when Wisconsin beat Purdue in another night game when Drew Brees was at Purdue.
EDIT: I forgot the 1985 Cherry Bowl, Maryland beating up on Syracuse in the Silverdome.

Western Michigan vs Central Michigan in 2005, Minnesota vs MSU in 2006 and a whole lot of University of Houston games since (I have a friend that works as the equipment manager there).

1994 Rose Bowl - Wisconsin vs UCLA - i dropped $10 in front of the guy at the gate midway thru the 3rd qtr and he let me walk past the turnstile...since i had no official seat, i had to quickly walk up a section before an usher had a chance to ask for my ticket. i ended up at the top of one of many Wisc sections and found a seat in the aisle. UW won, it was an amazing game.
1994 USC at ND - my uncle was an executive MBA student at the time and had front row tix at the 20....i remember being able to walk onto the sideline at ND stadium w/o anyone saying anything. ND also won.
2003 Purdue at Wisconsin - my little cousin's freshman year at UW...the only reason i went to that game is b/c we didn't play the badgers that year. can't remember who won that one, though fun time regardless

Every UNC home game in 2001 and 2002.
ND @ Purdue twice.
Oklahoma @ A&M 2002 when they knocked off #1 OU.
Handful of USC & UCLA games including USC/Texas Rose Bowl.
Arkansas @ UGA night game.
UGA/Florida Cocktail party in Jacksonville.
Random Arkansas spring game.

Georgia @ Auburn football game
Beautiful women, unlike anything I've ever seen up north.
The atmosphere was similar to an afternoon at Michigan stadium against a MAC team, very quiet. The SEC fan bases are generally good with the exception of LSU. Georgia and Auburn fans were very cordial with one another. Southern hospitality isn't a myth.

I saw the Kentucky @ Georgia game in 2007. It was a fun game to watch. It's almost sad to say that the crowd there was louder than the Big House.

My first was WVU vs. Kentucky. at old Mountaineer field.
Then I saw WVU vs. East Carolina. at new Mountaineer field.
My old college East Tennessee State a few times before they
disbanded football a couple of years ago.
Quite a few University of Tennessee games. Against Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech, Louisville, a few more I don't even remember.
Funny story, I've never been to a Michigan game. I haven't lived in Michigan since 1978. Lots of family there and My parents are back there now also In Lambertville 43 miles from Ann Arbor...but I digress. My wife knowing my love for the Wolverines was going to surprise me with tickets to a game. Since she attended Applachian State she was going to get tickets for that one since it would be an easy win !!!??!! Fortunately something fell through and she couldn't get the tickets or my first game would have been the horror.

2 Badgers home games so far this year (Northern Illinois, Fresno State) and will probably go to the rest of the Big Ten schedule including Michigan (am a graduate student at UW)
Was also at the Ohio State-Penn State tilt last fall

Been to quite a few Clemson games throughout the years. Experienced Florida State and Virginia Tech in Death Valley along with the Miami game in 2005 which is the loudest I've ever heard that stadium. The youtube video of that game is unreal.

I was at Miami @ FSU game this previous labor day which turned out to be a classic.
Been to Williams-Brice(SCar) once in my life. Never plan on going back. Place is an absolute dump and some of the most obnoxious fans I've ever encountered. I live 2 hours from Columbia.
Nothing compares to Michigan Stadium. I trek once a year to Ann Arbor and will be there for the Penn State game this year.

Columbia v Cornell, Cornell won and Columbia's band was very entertaining.
Yale v Harvard, The Yale Bowl was pretty cool. The alumni chanted "safety school" at one another. I forget who won.

What a great fall afternoon..... the almost European-looking campus, the Ithaca falls, the consuming of all things related to apples, even the wine tours the day before to make the Mrs. happy. Definitely recommend a fall weekend to Ithaca for anyone.
I've also been to more Penn State games than I can count, since it's nearby and there's some diehards in my family. It is a great gameday experience, and I've seen some really talented players make some pretty amazing plays-- LaVar Arrington, Drew Brees, Lee Evans, etc.

I've been to the Pitt/WVU game in 2006 and 2008, both times in Pittsburgh. Last year was especially good, considering that Pitt won and I pissed off a bunch of WVU fans by wearing a Michigan shirt.

I've been to a variety of small-college football games in southeastern Michigan, but as far as major college football:
-An Air Force game back in the 90s; I don't remember who they were playing, but I remember loving the experience and the scenery. There's nothing quite like the atmosphere at a service academy, and when you look out the end of the stadium, you're looking at the Rockies.
-A Notre Dame game against Purdue a few years ago; I had family at ND, and I got to sit in the ND student section. It was actually a great experience.
Just a note about ND's student section ticket policies: they're insane. The ticket had my name on it, and I had to show photo ID with the same name to get into the stadium. I couldn't believe how much work it took to get into the student section and how tightly they control it.

I went to the '06 game in Athens...Tech should have won that game too, but yeah, Reggie Ball. Been to plenty of other GT home and road games (Clemson, Duke, Maryland, Gator Bowl, etc.) over the last eight years. I don't think I have ever been to a college game that did not involve either M or GT though.

My Dad once took me to a Purdue v MSU game, at East Lansing. It was the late 1970s, I was already a Ricky Leach fan, UM fan. (So were my Parents) I am certain the tickets were free and UM had an away game. About the only thing I remember was a frisbee catching dog from MSU named Zeke the Wonderdog.
(Saw some MAC Games, primarily Chips, since all my best friends went there.)

Believe Ronald Curry was on the team for NC and so was Julius Peppers back in 2000.
Not sure if Mack Brown was there or not? It was kinda around the time Unc was actually good before last year.
Don't remember much because I was 9... but that year I also saw Wake Forest and Duke play in Durham... I knew they were both bad because they were selling team basketball photos in the concession stands instead of football stuff.

These were all over five years ago, before Missouri was any good. I was never really a fan, but it was the only thing close. That is until I went to school at Michigan.

I have been to about 100 UM football games. A couple of times I accidently showed up at games where UM was not playing. They are:

Forgive all the MSU games. Like many of us, I have Sparty friends. Occassionaly I endulge them by going to one of their games (as long as tickets and beers are free).

Honestly, one of my biggest regrets was not making it up to at least one game at State when I was still at Michigan. For that matter, making it to any BigTen stadium that wasn't Michigan or Wisconsin. I really kick myself for not seeing a game at NU just because I lived in Chicago for a year.

I went to a Wisconsin-PSU game in Madison in 2004 and I remembered getting there like 6 minutes into the game and the PSU backup QB was being carted off in an ambulance. The starter had gotten injured in the first few minutes. They played almost the entire game with their third string QB.

I watched Cal beat Tenn and Oregon a while ago. I also saw Cal v. USC. All were in Berkeley. I went to a Stanford/ND game in Palo Alto, the Cardinal almost pulled a major upset. I wasn't sure if the tree mascot was drunk or not. I also went to a PSU-OSU game in the early 90s in Columbus.
I walked by a Univ. of Rochester game on my way to a meeting. I don't think that counts.

Ditto on walking by a UR game. Nice campus. I spent a Saturday watching NCAAFB in the FQ there in 2007 during the Michigan Notre Dame game. Open kitchen with near limitless food was awesome.

I hate VT and anytime i get to go to a game there in hopes of them losing its great.. You guys have no idea how annoying and arrogant there fans are they act like they win the Nat. Championship every year its sickening.

My dad has season tickets to OSU so I grew up going to a decent amount of OSU games. Two of the bigger ones in OSU lore: 1978 @ Indiana - Woddy's last win, and the 1978 Gator Bowl vs Clemson. Also went to the !997 Rose Bowl when OSU beat ASU. Lived in the bay area for a while so went to a handful of Cal games as well as Stanford games but never saw Cal-Stanford cause that usually fell on the same day as UM-OSU.
