after this time was when one of my fav's played for UM; Thad Garner. He was a beast (on teams that lost a lot of games). Also, Dan Pelokoudas! |

You can also feel good knowing that you have given your business to good people. I know the owners and they are genuinely nice folks. All my Mgofriends would also be glad to know that the majority of the locals I know here think that Bret Bielema is just as much of a meat-headed boob as we all do. |

| 9 weeks 5 hours ago | Stay within two blocks of the Capitol |
and eat/drink at locally owned establishments. You can't go wrong. Unless you just want beer and student food, stay off of State Street. Your best bet for great cocktails/food are: Old Fashioned, Nostrano or Merchant--great place for cocktails. Nostrano has best pastry chef in Madison, so if you like desert this is your spot. Tornado (best Steaks in town, although I am in love with the venison loin) Osteria Papavero (awesome, authentic Italian) Harvest or L'Etoile (for the high end, local ingrediet dinner) This is Wisconsin, we have beer everywhere you look. |

has been closed for over a year. The restaurant that took its place (in the old morgue) is a seafood joint called Tempest. It is very good. Live music too. |
