Well, it's the EDITORS who are being replaced who used to read and fix shit like that. . . kind of a serpent eating its own tail. And it's literacy itself that's getting lost, as a read of your great-grandpa's Civil War letters home will quickly make clear. . . Still, we have a pretty good 500-year run from the time of the press, move to national languages from Latin, and capitalist printing. . .

What UTL special had that weird egg-thing wheeled out at halftime to a Beyonce song, giving a brief flash of excitement that Queen B would jump out of it for a surprise halftime show, but all we got was some glitchy scoreboards and flashing lights?

Any word on an updated Game Day Wi-Fi / Cellular infrastructure to support the fan base?

The light shows, I believe, were intended to link to fans cell phones - but, it's not exactly a "quick" connection - and huge (corrected) issues with the connectivity.   Hoping they just add this Wi-Fi capability to the updated lighting.

My understanding of the technology used for that is you don't need an internet connection. The phone listens to the song and then starts running a preloaded script. If you didn't have the app open in time or didn't give it permission to use your mic, it won't work.

EDIT: Here a link to how it works.  https://www.cueaudio.com/documents/5/cue-deck-lightshow.pdf

TBM, I tried to be a "good" Michigan fan - and, when light shows were attempted last season - I downloaded the app - opened the window - etc. BUT - it seemed like there was a noticeable delay.

And, at games - I don't need significant connectivity / bandwidth - just to have "enough".   I might look at a couple of out of town scores during the game - but, that's about it.

Mobile phone connectivity would be helpful when trying to find friends - or pointing out where "exactly" the tailgate location is - etc.

"In addition to the larger scoreboards that are nearly complete in each end zone..."

LOLWUT    His definition of "nearly complete" must be "shitloads of work left to do."
