When I was battling Covid in the days when Covid was gripping us all by the balls (metaphorically and otherwise) I hit 105.3 and was convinced that something deeply bad would happen every time I nodded off.  So I would wake up in a panic - did not sleep for what seemed like days - I lost all sense of time - just remember thinking about my mortality wanted the long slow burn to end - the illness seemed interminable and wondered if I would make it out alive.  

Where was I? Oh yeah, that was a lot like when I watched Dune 1.

Saban disliked Harbaugh.  Losing to Michigan while he was at MSU and then ending his career with a loss to Harbaugh's Michigan probably didn't do much to change his mindset to hang it up.

One of my few memories from my botany classes was that corn has a C4 carbon fixation pathway.  Most plants use a C3 pathway.  That's one of the reasons that corn grows so fast.  You can actually hear it growing on a hot July day in the south.  Not sure if you can hear it in the Arctic climes of the Upper Peninsula though.

Bellaire isn’t bad.  I grew up there before Shorts Brewing bought the place - but it’s still nice.   Alden is small but some great views of Torch Lake.Central Lake is OK and is on the chain of lakes like Bellaire is. Eastport isn’t bad either near Torch and Lake Michigan.

Edit:  These towns may be a bit less urban than NYC.

I have to preface my petition for absolution with the following:

• I became a Michigan fan at the age of 12 in 1970.  
• I had three older brothers who had, by that time, helped me to assimilate a broad and deep collection of curses.
• When I watch Michigan games, my vocabulary reverts back to my 12 year old lizard brain.
• The comments in question were made just after M gave up the first touchdown of the game.
• In that light, my comments, while heartfelt and predictable, were also breathtakingly sexist.
