As others have mentioned the Wheel Of Time series started out OK bit it went on way too long and Robert Jordan died I and stopped reading it years ago. Try Silverlock if you want a read that is clever and referential of other great sf/fantasy stuff. Thanks for this thread - I don't read much sf anymore but I plan to pick up a couple of books mentioned by others.

2 years 19 weeks ago	You made me laugh	You made me laugh this morning - Brady Hoke, cast as the great unifier of the Michigan fan base. This does feel like a Hollywood narrative though.  Watching this coaching search unfold, especially the JH saga with with all of the false leads, it feels like I am watching Inception.  What the hell is really going on? It's gotten so bad I am starting to think Gruden could be our next coach - yeah I know that can't be true (I think that I think that anyway). Does DB really not have a plan to bring in a top-tier guy?  Please, oh please, let him have a plan...  Otherwise I'll end up in a room as an old man, lost in my own mind, unable to get back to reality, waiting for Leonardo Dicaprio to show up and put a bullet in my head.
2 years 19 weeks ago	I don't think you are correct	I don't think you are correct - DB said on Wed JH was gone to the NFL - he clearly must have known that before the final firing of Rich Rod, and he fired him anyway.  He didn't have to wait until today and JH's presser to look for other candidates.  I think he has a search plan. No action may just mean he isn't tipping his hand. He also said he wanted someone that would unify the fan base - you really think Les could do that? The local papers would rip Les up - and then UM gets loads of negative press for a "win at all costs" mentality. Anyway, I really hope you are wrong.  I would have a hard time watching Lester next fall.
