It's just hard to FAIL, period. If you show up to class and you do the bulk of the work, even if that work is pretty crap, it's pretty hard to actually fail the class. You'll just a get a bad grade. That sounds like "minimal effort" to me. |

| 5 days 21 hours ago | Of course you can't please |
Of course you can't please everyone, but that doesn't mean Brian shouldn't call out Brandon on his mistakes. Success in sports, good academics, and being in the black are par for the course at Michigan. It's not like he's revolutionized the athletic department. Besides, Brian has complimented him on a number of issues as well. If you specifically asked his overall opinion on Brandon, I don't actually think it'd be that low. Just that he's tinkering too much with a formula that has obviously treated Michigan well, and I'd agree. |
| 1 week 1 day ago | Strictly |
He said "strictly". Both matter. You're free to question Denard's legacy but at this point you're just being a dick. Is Denard the greatest QB ever? No. But seriously, how do you have an argument about his stats with no one mentioning one of the most impressive single seasons statistically of all time? It turned out it was good RR got fired, but if he stayed, Denard's stats would have been unreal. They're already impressive. Yes, his passing left plenty to be desired, but he obviously didn't fit Borges' system. Obviously totally impractical, but if they had brought in Hoke and demoted RR to OC for the rest of Denard's career, no one here could sanely criticize him. Furthermore, if we're trying to talk objectively here, you need to stop criticizing him for his record against good teams and other stats that are mostly dependent on the rest of the team. (Insert favorite QB of all-time) wouldn't have taken Michigan to a BCS bowl or a win over Ohio with the defense RR was fielding. Give him that '97 defense and Denard would be an absolute legend. I hate when people have tunnel vision for simple numbers like NC's and Rose Bowl appearances as if no one else on the team matters. Tangent: Sweet Jesus, how good was Barry Sanders?. If he had stayed in the NFL, he'd be the all-time rushing leader, despite playing with awful offenses.

"A person cannot be motivated to needlessly clarify that 'nothing homosexual happened' (etc.) without some preference for avoiding the conclusion that it did." Says who? People speak needlessly all the time, especially when it comes to jokes. Was there ever a joke that had to be said? |

Lighten up, dude. You were the one making fun of someone's intelligence for mistakenly ridiculing them. If you're going to do that and be wrong about it, you should just accept the consequences. Turnabout is fair play :) And just to pile on, I'm pretty sure I could spell "absolutely" when I was in kindergarten. |

I guess it'd be cool, but I'd still check mgoblog a million times a day anyway. Sometimes I check even late at night when I know nothing new is posted anyway lol. I'm sure I'm not alone. |
| 3 weeks 3 days ago | Low and away |
The one low and away is most impressive. Look at how is back foot steps back as well, that's not a lot of power on the hit relative to what he's capable of. Obviously it helps going into right, but it's like he just tapped it and still sent it out. |
| 3 weeks 4 days ago | Come on |
Come on. You're taking this too seriously. You must think all recruting analysts are pedophiles. You know all these players have coaches who slap their butts, right? That certainly must be worse than talking about their butt. |

What do you mean he made Lewan uncomfortable? Pregame speech from D-line coach: "Let's do this! Go Cocks, baby! Rip their heads off! No...no wait. That'd be too cruel. Just...just make them uncomfortable. That'll do. Tell them some awkward jokes and pretend you're hitting on him or something." |

| 7 weeks 6 days ago | What? |
You included a BCS bowl season with a win in the Sugar Bowl under Hoke as part of the dark era? Last year wasn't so bad either. A diverse student body may have something to do with how many people show up, but it doesn't have anything to do with making it OK for sorority girls to show up drunk for only half of the game. No no, you're right. Uh, thank you drunk sorority girls for filling up space for half an hour? |
| 7 weeks 6 days ago | Whoa, what? |
Whoa, what? What do you mean it died? What do they do now? Just the standard wave? That'd be lame. Slow wave was my favorite, followed by splitting it to see if you can merge again on the exact opposite side. |
| 8 weeks 7 hours ago | Nope |
He said it's "technically" not a transfer. I'm sure it's mostly about McLimans actually wanting to see the court before his basketball career ends. |
| 8 weeks 1 day ago | You're right |
You're right; I've never been on air in a studio. But if I were, I think my number one goal would be to avoid making a complete idiot of myself. And that starts with not swearing loudly and being unable to form simple sentences about myself. |
| 8 weeks 1 day ago | In all fairness |
In all fairness to that guy? Huh? Yeah, she got a little flustered, but I probably would too if I was on live TV with my partner talking like that. I give credit to her for not bursting out in laughter. |
| 8 weeks 5 days ago | Actually |
Actually, I wouldn't disapprove in this case. Not knowing what happens to profits already earned on shirts that aren't licensed, there seems to be two possibilities. First, the company keeps the profits and the shirts are simply taken off the market. Second, the NCAA gets to take the profits and give them to...themselves? Or the school involved in the design? Obviously it's not going to Spike. Either way, I'd argue Spike gets screwed, and in the second case, I'd argue he has a right to be mad at the NCAA. I believe you've argued differently before though. Whether you agree or disagree about player compensation, if you were Spike, do you seriously think you would care if the profits from a t-shirt with your image went to the NCAA or to some random online t-shirt store? Hell, I'd assume the random internet store could use the money more. Your question about my opinion of t-shirts with my likeness isn't relevant because I can do something about it. I would disapprove because I could sue them for a cut of the profits. |
| 8 weeks 5 days ago | Yup |
One of the shirts just got sent to the boys down at the crime lab. They got 4 detectives working on the case. They got 'em workin in shifts. I mean, it is BS that Spike can't make any money off of it, but I don't get why you're mad at some random t-shirt seller. You should be mad at the NCAA. Report it to them and they will probably get on it. They own this here town. You don't wanna know what the NCAA does when you step on their turf. |
