BUMPED SO PEOPLE CAN ASK THAT QUESTION IN A PRE-MADE THREAD TODAY - LSA

Hello MgoCollective,

Does anyone know of Michigan bars in Vancouver, BC?  I'll be up there for the weekend with my folks, and I need a place to watch the game, preferably with fellow Wolverines.  I'm staying downtown (a few blocks from Canada Place), and there's plenty of sports bars, but which one?

I've already checked the map, the thread, the tag, and searched the rest of the board (all I get are posts about hockey riots...).

Thanks in advance!

MOD EDIT - Repurposed to avoid clutter, but preserving OP's question to start discussion. - LSA

OP EDIT - Thanks LSA - please feel free to move to Diary (per somebody below's suggestion) or triage as needed.  I only posted this because I exhausted just about all other options.

I'm going to be in my apartment which has hd cable and the internet, and will have ample supplies of beer, buffalo wings, and no small quanity of weed. Any good place here to watch the game?

Ugh, just got out of 4 years in Gainesville, but thank god I had some Michigan bros to watch games with. No Alum Association there, but people are generally watching the game at Mother's. You just have to deal with random fans of other schools and the obligatory OSU fans. We'd usually just watch the game at the tailgate for the Gators game.

OP, you should call around to sports bars.

The last time I was in Vancouver and I needed to watch a game was 2008. I won't rehash how sorry that year was. I couldn't find a Michigan bar, so called around the horn. One place said it would be open for some soccer thing, and could give me the side bar. The side bar was like a decent sized place, and opened to the street.

By the first quarter a handful of other college football fans just walked up seeing the game on. By halftime there were like ten or 12 of us watching Nick Sheridan's career day, as Michigan beat Minnesota.

I'm in Monte Carlo with my supermodel girfriends.  Is there any way to get the game in my helicopter for the first quarter?

Ocean City, MD

Unfortunately my Labor Day weekend will no longer be spent in Ann Arbor and Irish Hills, but in a car for at least 20 hours and hunkered down for two nights near Ocean City, Maryland. Fiancé's grandfather is near death. I'm "all in". Ergo, you go with fiancé even when she insists that you don't have to.

If possible, I'd love to catch the game. Even less likely, I'd love to hit up Dogfish Head brewery, which is only about an hour away.

in Overland Park, KS (KC suburb) use to be owned by a Michigan alum several years ago but since I work most weekends, I can never go. Does anyone know if this is still a Michigan hangout, since most sports bars in the KC area will just have KSU, KU or Mizzou on or some other Big 12 game.
