It was 10 years ago in the Anger Management tour days when NWA reunited, but it was fun

Outside of Elton, Cube, and a few others it's kind of meh to me.

But he's got a VERY valid point.
It's been a long time... And regardless of the scandal, what these 5 and Fisher had done for the University cannot be overlooked and should be celebrated. Fisher has been cast off and the school does need to recognize the $ influx and what the team had done for them.
On the other hand, he's definitely wrong with the current program under Beilein. They're as tight as you'd like to see and keep alumni around... See what they've done with CJ Lee, Merritt, etc. Celebrated Cazzie. He's a little too focussed on the attention he thinks his time with the university and not seeing what they're doing now.
With that said, he is mostly right in what I think he's getting at.

As a current resident of TN, future resident of AL, and proud Michigan fan and alum, I couldn't agree with you more... I hate the SEC second only to O$U, and maybe tied with Sparty.

I hate him... I never cared to look into why he didn't stay in state, other than the fact that M had way better QB's than him filling water bottles.

What about Derek Lowe?
I think Edsel Ford had a few hockey players too...
DC had a lot more notable guys... Jim Hermann, Bill Mccartney, Pat Shurmur, but I don't think any actually lived in or were from Dearborn.
Just good old D-Lowe.

Low man wins...
I've coached d-line and played it myself... Trying to get the fundamentals down for the kids to fire off low so they don't stand up and get plowed by the o-lineman.
Kids have a tendency to stand up and try to run around guys.

Grew up going there, have family there, and would love to retire there one day.

Go to the Flying Saucer for a few to start... Right there on Demonbreun...
From there hop up and down Broadway... My personal favorite is Paradise Park. It's a country bar themed after a trailer park... Really cool joint.
If you want to emabarrass the crap out of the bachelor to be, head over to Coyote Ugly on 2nd to get the young man abused...
Then there's a fine gentleman's club that you could taxi over to, the Crazy Horse or something like that. It's BYOB, so you can have as much fun as you want there. It's not much to write home about though. You're much better off hanging around 2nd and Demonbreun.
For a cool kid place to eat, or just a cool place to start off, another place to check out is the Pharmacy. Great food, incredible beer. You'll need to drive over there though from where you're at.
If it were up to me, I'd start with the Pharmacy, move to the Flying Saucer, then troll up and down Broadway with a definite stop at Paradise Park.

When you get in town, there's a ton of bars up and down and all around the Bridgestone Arena...
For game viewing during the break from the early session, I think I may go down to Bailey's since it'll have so many more TV's. Hooter's is on 2nd avenue, and there's about 20 other bars all within walking distance between Broadway and 2nd Avenue.
Frankly speaking though, Nashville is going to be a perfect site for the opening weekend. You'll find a ton of Michigan transplants down here due to the automotive industry. I think you'll find the whole area will be friendly to you...
Just don't bring up the 97 Heisman trophy... Or if you are in a spirited argument about something or another, feel free to use it... Nothing stirs these guys up more than the Woodson > Peyton Manning statement.
