It's me mocking people who have said other guys on the roster are better and called for other guys to start over De'Veon even though he's a beast and has been crazy consistent when healthy the past 2 years. Which is why I said "are we done?" As in are we done doubting/knocking him. First Green was better, then Johnson, then we got Isaac and all of his hype. Then Evans came along. De'Veon is our lead RB. Sweet baby jesus.

I remember when he committed to Michigan and then 5* Green commit. People thought De'Veon would decommit. He stuck around and we couldn't have been more proud of him. Michigan man forever, beat Ohio.

As much as Smith gets flack around here from time to time, it really was awesome to see him have the sort of game that he did this afternoon, and indeed, his contributions basically were the difference for Michigan on offense. He looked inspired and determined, and he led this team to a hard-fought victory over #CHAOSTEAM. Very nice indeed, and as a result, we have consecutive 10-win seasons for the first time in almost 15 years.

Not an exaggeration to say he single-handidly won the game for us. Defense was obviously its usual great self, but I don't think we clear 6 points without Smith. Which is both great for him and very sad for our offense as a unit.

It was interesting, there were a couple of times I thought he missed cuts and missed a large hole.

One time in particular, I did a quick reverse to check, and sure enough, there was a huge hole on the other side of the center that he flat out missed. I quickly flipped to the live picture to catch up...

And he made a great cut and ran for 15 or 20 yards on the next play.

What an incredible game for Smith. His crowning moment as a Michigan player (so far) and on senior day. The two TDs were absolutely monstrous.

Frequently overshadowed and dismissed but that kid is the toughness of the offense. Glad he got to go out there and put the team/game on his back and deliver.

I know we aren't done watching him yet, but I will miss watching him run through tacklers. Probably our best back since Hart or Minor (when healthy) IMO. I wasn't a big fan of Fitz

He was always a battering ram, but his vision and patience are vastly better. I may sound like a homer, but I really think he could play in the NFL. Leveon Bell kind of player.
