| 18 weeks 21 hours ago | This is getting rediculous |
Even though I'm Polish and German, I'm going to organize a complaint on behalf of the Irish and those of Irish decent against the Notre Dame fighting Irish because of the actual harm that I believe they undergo. Though I'm not a farmer, I'm going to act on behalf of corn farmers who get made fun of because of the Nebraska Cornhuskers. ... But seriously, for the life of me I cannot understand why Redskins is still allowed anywhere , especially in the NFL, but if the "offensiveness" or "actual harm" caused by using the nicknames Indians, Hurons, Sioux, Chippewas, Illini, etc are REAL, then those who are being harmed should be the ones to initiate the appropriate legal action (if that is the case, here, that the state (the Civil Rights committee or w/e) was ASKED to act on their behalf, then that is fine...but if not, then this is just getting rediculous). |

| 28 weeks 2 days ago | a quick comment on why i voted for bball divisions |
to assure that rival teams will play eachother twice every year. They could do it w/o divisions, but, since they're not THAT smart, divisions would force it to happen. ie-Mich would always play State and Ohio twice, never having a "bye/1 game" year with them. |

WOWOWOWOWOWWOWOW! Elsewhere, Penn State got screwed, and now our path to Indy lies in the hands of Minny or Iowa. BTW, terrific title and thread, dude... |

there was a reason he "resigned"/got fired at Auburn... if he's still here next year, God help us |
| 34 weeks 2 days ago | Denard running |
is Denard coached not to take off running during passing plays? I remember him running more 2 years ago. So many times he could easily gain 5-10 yards but it's like he's told to pretty much stay in the pocket and find someone... it's killing me to see that several times a game, esp on a couple of crucial downs where he has tons of green right in front of him |

they always reserve 1 "extra" yard for Fitz Chrysler in the team season-yardage totals |

but it looked pretty obvious that Bradford slid on the white anyway. So it should have been stopped for good. |

| 43 weeks 6 days ago | I've never |
I've never even thought about that third scenerio...I hope that doesn't happen (but that we still make it to the B1GCG). We need to keep The Game as the last game (of the reg season) and I was a proponent of an East-West split of the conference, which I still think makes the most sense. |
| 43 weeks 6 days ago | Sneed |
Sneed began school at CMU the same year as I did (2005), so I feel particularly saddened by his passing. He was the leading rusher for the Chips 05 and 06. Freshman All-American, and in the top 5-10 in CMU history, it looks like, in a few categories such as career receptions, rush yards, and rec tds. I remember "Sneed's Creed" in the student section... though my nickname for him was always "The Need for Sneed". I think he was playing in the IFL last year. Prayers are with him, fam and friends... may he rest in Christ's peace. |

Week 1 - Michigan v Alabama 2 - Georgia @ Missouri (can't get much better this week + new SEC member factors in) 3 - Notre Dame @ Michigan State (Bama v Arkansas is a poss, but I can't see them with Bama twice this early) 4 - Clemson @ Florida State (unless Clemson loses wk 1 to Auburn) 5 - Wisconsin @ Nebraska or Texas @ Oklahoma State 6 - Georgia @ South Carolina or LSU @ Florida 7 - Texas v Oklahoma (^either game makes it hard to go to So Carolina @ LSU, plus they'll need to give some Big 12 love) 8 - Michigan State @ Michigan 9 - Notre Dame @ Oklahoma or TCU @ Oklahoma State 10 - USC @ Oregon or Alabama @ LSU (depending on who has tripped up thus far, but prolly USC/Oregon b/c need PAC 12 love) 11 - Arkansas @ South Carolina 12 - Oklahoma @ West Virginia 13 - Lots: Michigan @ Ohio, Auburn @ Alabama, ND @ USC, LSU @ Arkansas (Friday game)... the choice out of these games has a lot of bearing on how many times they've visited any of these teams so far this year) 14 - SEC Championship

For everyone pulling the empathetic compassion card as to why he belongs at the games, we are not hating him or being angry with him; we're just stating that fact that he clearly should not be allowed to compete because of the competitive technological advantage. I feel for the guy and I'm sure he would rather have his legs than compete in London under these circumstances, but you can't just throw the integrity of the sport out the window because you feel compassion, empathy, pity, etc. for someone's situation. I wish he had other guys in his situation that he could compete with--he probably does but he's just so much better than them... Remember, elite individual sport athletes have to deal with that lack of competition sometimes, too... |

Her childishness and stubbornness really seems to be aimed at the other woman who will be awarded the third spot. She is causing the third-place winner to not feel good about the way she won--to not feel like a "winner" at all... hopefully she just ignores it and moves on... and hopefully the cry-baby realizes her immaturity for the situation and grows from this self-knowledge. On a side note-- This situation makes me think about NFL & NCAA video reviews which, if applied to this situation, would still award her third place because the finish-line replay evidence is "inconclusive," not overturnable. |

we're over-matched because we look to be pretty down this year as a conference... even in light of our recent mediocrity (whether perceived or actual). We got Oklahoma v Iowa because the Sugar Bowl didn't give KSU what they may have deserved, thus shifting the B12 down. ie-They have 1 BCS team, we have 2. Yeah, we have to play some away games, but that's the nature of bowl games. It is winter. Therefore, it is an ice-box up north and a termpered sweat-box down south. Remember, it's also an award to a good, or at least "meh", season. More of a reward for B1G team to vacation to SoCal for a bowl game or for USC to play a game in your hated neighbor (Ned Flanders') back yard? Really, we should just ... uhhh... get better?!?! Maybe then we would be favorites and have more wins than losses during "the most wonderful time of the year". |

to MLS! I'm not sure about the sensus fidei (sense of the faith) of the soccer/sports fans in metro Detroit, but myself and some other friends of mine have been hoping for a team for quite a while. I think the soccer excitement that has picked up here surrounding the World Cup has lit a little fire in many people in this country. If a team did come to the Silverdome, it'd be pretty cool if it turned out to be as lively as the fans make it out on the west coast (Seattle, Portland, LA). |

why people get happier and happier as OSU implodes more and more. Don't get me wrong, Oh how I HATE, Ohio State... but a good OSU program helps out the Mich program, as well as the entire B1G. I wish none of this crap ever happened to Ohio. I would still hate em just as much whether they did everything perfectly behind the scenes or not. I want to see them be powerful program... that gets overpowered by Michigan :P I'd rather beat them vs Pryor & Co. as a dog this year then beat an anemic, depleated Ohio squad. neg me if you want... but the Buckeyes being a doormat combined with continual off the field probs is not what a Mich fan should want. |
