DJ “on field” will bring greater in-person fan engagement during commercials.
I can see this also potentially being an additional bridge between the stadium and the broadcast booth. Maybe the DJ is with a music artist for a brief segment promoting their tour/album (or bugging out like Eminem), or the broadcast team cuts to 5* #1 recruit being “dj for a break.”
At the very least, it’s an investment in upping the in-stadium fan experience which counteracts the lagging NCAA attendance numbers. Overall, I think there’s pretty safe and possibly substantial upside here.
Actually, in a live shooter situation, professionals have taught us educators/students to throw objects at the shooter (books, staplers, etc) and rush the shooter if they encroach on where you are hiding. It was a “bold” tactic in a hostage situation, but one that is taught by law enforcement to be effective, particularly if there are many vs 1.
Seth, I could agree with a "half-cyan," but by your justification we should also cyan Josh Ross (pass coverage) or Roman Wilson (blocking) or a variety of other guys who have a weak area of their game. Everything other than run read options is positive or extremely positive for Cade's game (no turnovers, no sacks & avoids them marvelously, solid comp %, best deep ball since at least 2015, etc.) Also, to say that he is beginning to hold up the effectiveness of split zone and our actions off of it is more of a coaching trouble spot than a QB one, IMO. Know your players' strengths and weaknesses and play to them, not against them.
Unless someone's about to filibuster, I'm ready to take this to a vote!
Chaundee Brown does THAT celebration after a put back slam. Never have I truly, emphatically "cackled" while watching any sport until that moment. Glorious.
What Smith did defensively in this game against Davidson, especially early, cannot be understated. That helped set the tone and keep Michigan in control on both ends. Dude obviously worked damn hard in practice to shut him down like that--esp the post denials.
1. Having a great offense (especially passing offense--quick scoring) makes it more difficult to have a great defense (statistically). I would conclude that LSU's defense improved despite statistically "remaining the same."
2. Scoring defense is more telling than yardage. (See: LSU's pts against is better than teams around it in yards) Esp when you take #1 into account, that if you score more and score quickly, the other team will have more possessions from own 25 while behind. And you will play softer bend-don't-break defense. (Scoring > yardage)
Sure, that one decision was atrocious, but not even a passing comment about Higdon’s few magnificent cuts (and edge speed to make something out of nothing) in the second half??
The way Shea was approaching Gentry, I kinda think that Shea has either gotten him with the fake before or he talked about doing it and Gentry beat him to it. Or they talked about a unique handshake and Gentry got him.
...anyway you slice it it didn’t look like bad blood to me
First advice is to not be a slave to your child. Get a sitter from time to time for the sake of your marriage, but take him out (early on!) to restaurants, bars, zoos, parks, church (if you go), get togethers with friends and fam, and all different events that you would be going to in a heartbeat if you DIDN’T have your child. He will be so accustomed to different people and environments from early on that it will make taking him places and being around different people SO MUCH EASIER as the months and years go by :)
Finally no mismatches or shot blockers to worry about. M has the advantage everywhere, and looking forward to the offense opening up with Z and MAAR, even Matthews, being able to drive with zero caution without a SWAT team in the paint.
Handed PG with FT woes is very different than subbing out a wing or, even more, a PF/C. Who says we get the looks/opportunities that we had if Z is taken out? I trust Beilein with this decision.
Plus, this was one of the LEAST of reasons why we lost this game...
That proves my point even more (about National Title contender, not nec division title). 8-5 in our tougher division COULD mean we’re even closer to a contender than Georgia 2016. And don’t say “we’ll we have to win the division to be a tire contender,” because, uh, Bama.
Not criticizing you, but I’ve just heard a lot of people have been putting GRIII on this athletic pedestal. He was/is very athletic, but the MOST athletic? Was he THAT quick and agile as a defender? Was he even above average in his agility and balance while attacking the basket with the ball in his hands? Maybe we just never saw these attributes of his athleticism because he was such a timid player. He did make some very athletic dunks in the open floor, however, that we hadn’t seen from a 3/4 in some time at M.
Braylon has repeatedly, flagrantly disgraced himself and Michigan. OKorn simply hasn’t played up to our expectations on the field. A “Michigan Man” is a title earned beyond merely the statistical performance on the field...C’mon man
9 of those 11 carries were bigger holes than anything Evans or Higdon had. He'll settle back down to #3 RB as the season goes on because Higdon is better...in pretty much every way.
If I had to pick us to have 1 loss out of Iowa, Indiana, OSU, & B1G Champ game, I'd choose this one in a heartbeat. Win and we're in! (trying to stay positive)
OSU beat Wisky on the road and OSU has the better loss. OSU will be a nearly unanimous #2. We will be in the 3-5 range, guaranteed. Win out and we're 100% in.
Exactly! You should have to get out of the pocket then chuck it, or throw it in the vicinity of a receiver. You shouldn't be able to commit a penalty...with no penalty. Hopefully this scenario calls for a rule change.
Best point I hadn't heard, yet: "Yes, Michigan’s three toughest games (Iowa, Michigan State and Ohio State) are all on the road, and yes that does concern me. At the same time, if there was ever a year to get those three teams away from the Big House, doesn’t this feel like it?"
Unfortunately my Labor Day weekend will no longer be spent in Ann Arbor and Irish Hills, but in a car for at least 20 hours and hunkered down for two nights near Ocean City, Maryland. Fiancé's grandfather is near death. I'm "all in". Ergo, you go with fiancé even when she insists that you don't have to.
If possible, I'd love to catch the game. Even less likely, I'd love to hit up Dogfish Head brewery, which is only about an hour away.
1) Walk 2) catcher interference 3) wild pitch on called/swung third strike 4) passed ball on called/swung third strike 5) dropped third strike and throwing error to first (A balk would only send the batter on the 4th ball, which would just be considered a standard walk, correct??)
which is 3-4 games less than 2 NFL teams will be playing
And we're not going to 16 anyway. His division and playoff breakdown is moot and just for the sake of speculation. The author's point is more about the alignment of these tv contracts with the dilemma of the Big12's current position. He's stating how realistic and opportune it will be for the other conferences to pounce, given the current tv deals, and how necessary it may be, for several teams' sake, that the Big12 desperately make a last ditch effort...

No, he still has his redshirt. Covid year gives him one extra year whether he played that year or not.

He did sack up, but ump continued to screw us. One pitch after an obvious strike out to end the inning came a HR.

Brown's emphatic positivity and grit
Dickinson's unlimited confidence
Smith's obvious work ethic to listen to coaching and constantly improve, esp on his defense
Cackle with knowing glee if...

Unsung performance--Smith's D vs Davidson.

Those are pics of Kmart kids shoes, right?
Normally a fan of Nike shoes and apparel, but those are pretty bad. Jordan ones aren’t any better.
+1 on Shep

but A Quiet Place has recently put itself in the running, especially based on your criteria.
If I had to pick right now (again, based on your criteria):
Good Will Hunting
Shawshank
A Quiet Place
HM:
A Man for All Seasons
White Men Can’t Jump
...Seinfeld :)

9th highest at 25-1

Or just "average" compared to the rest of the Big12...
Not if he doesn't have a guarantee that Houston is joining Big12. Staying in the group of 5 with his hype would be dumb

In theory, but I wouldn't play him too much right now just so he's fresh and injury free at the end of the season...might be the clear #1 by that time

My only comment: Texas get what they want in terms of divisions/teams they play in any other conference they end up.
