I love the bench mob this year. I can't help but lament the missing energy from a packed arena and a fully energized and insane Maize Rage. Can you imagine the sound of the crowd during the games this year, especially last night?

I kept texting friends last night while giggling throughout that run, “can you imagine how fun of a game that would be to be a student in the maize rage”? Good gracious, they might’ve won by 50. This team is so much fun to watch. It’s funny, even in other years when they’re not fenestrating top ten teams, I almost always say that about the basketball teams. Just awesome.

wasn't there a smaller school a few years ago that had very well planned/choreographed celebrations? I recall seeing the highlights but can't remember which school.

I believe the team you're thinking of is Monmouth from 2016. They beat UCLA, Notre Dame and USC in the non-conference, and I think they were well known for how the guys on the bench celebrated.

It's been a fun team to watch and getting more fun with each passing victory. Guys just look like they really like being around each other which you don't always see. Heard Franz talking about how much the bench pumps him up which is very cool.
