That is the downside obviously; we lose current key players and recruits and are looking at another 3 year rebuilding project. Optimistic to believe Nuss is ready for HC; also would likely lose Mattison and other staff.

I know we are assuming 'normal attrition', but when I look at the depth chart by class, I don't see a single player that we wouldn't want to come back or stay with the program. We won't speculate on that with names, but I think it's premature at best to assume any more than the one remaining scholarship is available.

But do we really think it will have to carry the team? Just the QB coaching from this guy will be a HUGE difference.

And that's how it went. It was raining hard during our tailgate, but easily mid 40s. We got to the stadium a little late, but literally it turned to sleet in minutes. Ice formed quickly on the benches, and people's jackets. A lot of people bailed, leaving the stadium about 3 quarters full.

Is he going and what is his timetable?

With the team still young, another road rivalry game that could be the difference in competing for the big ten championship this year, and lousy schedules every other year with no rivals.

I would wait on the calc 2; take an easy elective instead.

I hope this is the prototype, and volume production soon?

Calc 2 is tough, and diff eq tougher.

It really is a great school, and excellent value. Classes transfer to just about anywhere and you'll save a lot of money.

We win at MSU. I just don't buy that state is in 're-load' mode as a program. Their success recently is due in large part, or some part, to the vacuum in recruiting success for Michigan from 2008 to 2011. I think our guys have a will to win this game and make it happen. The game at Ohio? The freshman are sophomores, sophomores are juniors; anything can happen in this game, see last year.

But thought it was thread-worthy on it's own.
|25 weeks 3 days ago||Per the NCAA process?||
I wonder if that is the only forum in which to fight a decision that impacts one's ability to attend school at a public institution, or potential earnings in the millions of dollars at risk.
|25 weeks 3 days ago||Makes sense, but||
It can be argued that the spirit of the NCAA view on the appropriate punishment is in effect now, and the punishment is meant to be served from the time of the offense. I am not a lawyer, but I wonder if there is precedent for this type of argument.
|25 weeks 3 days ago||Really?||
Not the greatest analogy, but if you were fired from your job for archaic rule that had already been changed, would you take it lying down?
|25 weeks 3 days ago||The rule changes then||
But enacted recently. That doesn't mean the term of the suspension would begin for him individually when the rule changes, if it can be argued that the spirit of the NCAA view on the appropriate punishment is in effect now, and the punishment is meant to be served from the time of the offense. I am not a lawyer, but I wonder if there is precedent for this type of argument.

After seeing the reaction of the national media, namely ESPN, I am wondering if the announcement of Mitch intending to declare and his openness about the circumstances is a strategic PR move. It is amazing to me that with all the legal power Michigan has, that they cannot win an appeal to a rule that changed literally weeks after the offense. Mitch has implied that he would have stayed if not for the 1 year suspension; and if held to the new 6 month rule he would be able to play in the fall, correct? Is Michigan drumming up support and planning to take another swing legally?

By the 2015 season, Hoke will have a team with balanced experience, and built solely with players he recruited. Of the ranking bear themselves out, a very talented group as well.

If you offer a player a scholarship and they are a junior in high school or older they can accept it at anytime and it is binding.

More focus on the running ability..
|39 weeks 1 day ago||Still don't understand why||
It can't be organized like baseball and hockey, let them be drafted or not and they have the choice to stay in school. Or at least they can declare, and if not drafted come back to school.
