That JH shit stinks amidst an ncaa investigation after 2 years of embarrassing nfl "courtship"s is a controversial take tells you everything about this board. Lord help us all! Somewhere David Koresh is smiling.

I love when there is zero panic from 100 players on the team but we project things on to 3-4 recruits. You think if shit was going south we would have exactly zero starting quality players transferring? You think some high school kid knows more than our players? Come on man grow up.

I find it concerning that this is hanging over him and he still hasn't signed a new contract. When Ono stepped in it seemed like everything would be resolved, but there hasn't been any news on that front for a long time. Why? Has Jim decided that this is his final season in AA?

Could it be that Ono wasn't the savior and Warde wasn't the devil like everyone made it out to be?

Could it be that Harbaugh is under contract and isn't interested in negotiating right now?

Could it be that Michigan and Harbaugh have agreed to wait until the NCAA case is resolved?

...It could be any or all of these things. And all would make sense. The BPONE on this board of "worst case scenario" is exhausting.

Sure, it could he his final season, but it could be 5 other things as well and there is no indication that one is more likely than the other.

He committed violations regardless of how you childishly try to candy coat it.

Your swearing makes you sound like the childish temper tantrum type.

Harbaugh needs to take his lumps and move on regardless of how lame the charges might appear.

It’s gonna hurt recruiting. You can’t cuss your way out of it 🙄

What’s worse?  A new Maizen account or a new Maizen-like troll?

I would argue the latter - Michigan was still coming out of its nearly decade long funk when Maizen was doing his thing.  This asshole is trolling a top 5, 2 time defending B1G champion.

If he is a Michigan fan, it’s like he has forgotten the whole plummet to the depths of irrelevance and near death event for the program.

I hope you do something that will require the mods to remove your ignorance from this site.  Start by understanding "realist".  As a hint, it is not a provocateur that tries to represent a point of view or perception that is based on a biased set of beliefs.

Go back to your "group" and pound sand.

The violation isn't really the hamburgers, it is more that they found evidence that Harbaugh impended/mislead an official investigation on recruiting site visit during a "no contact period" - which is technically a "Level 1" infraction.

Level 1 infraction usually result in a minimum ~6 game suspension and scholarship reductions. That's why Warde "negotiated" down to 4 games and no scholarship reductions.

In a black and white world, that was considered a "win," but the reason for the investigation was stupid to begin with because almost all programs contact recruits during dead periods.

I think it’s important to note that the NCAA claims to have evidence that Harbaugh mislead investigators. And they have offered zero proof of this. Stating it as a fact instead of an allegation with without proof is, IMO, wrong and gives the NCAA much, too much, credit for being a reliable arbiter of the facts.

By this time next year, the power of the NCAA should go from miniscule to non-existent.

I'm sure JH knows this better than any of us. The question does remain why the deal is off. Who had a problem with it, and why?

Jim told Michigan in January he had no plans of serving a suspension. I shared some info back then about it, as it was on the table back in January. I’m sure he expressed to them again that he had no plans to serve it.

In the meantime, they had a plan in place for the suspension, if it did end up happening, but Harbaugh told Santa and Warde his feelings about the suspension.

If they try and make him serve it in 2024, assume he’ll head for the NFL.

Funny - Jimmy isn’t bigger than the NCAA. This will end poorly for Michigan if Harbaugh doesn’t wise up. He’s important to Michigan - the rest of the country and the NCAA doesn’t give a rats ass about Jim Harbaugh.

ESPN’s article on this subject states:

The negotiated resolution between Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh and the NCAA over alleged recruiting violations was not approved by the NCAA Committee on Infractions

This makes it sound like the NCAA infractions committee wants a more serious punishment. If they do apply a more serious penalty, I would hope that Warde takes them to court and finally breaks up the NCAA.

🙄 Jim will end up being a laughing stock in college football unless he realizes he’s not privileged or bigger than the NCAA  - Harbaugh’s ego is gonna get a wake up call if he doesn’t wise up.

He’s already an odd ball - very good coach - but Captain Quirk.
