The great MGoBlackout of 2012: How did you survive?
I actually worked. I didn't like it one bit, don't you ever do that to me again!
Yes, I had far to much work in my afternoon, and far less MGoBlogtasticness for my liking.
So now I'm left wondering if the fact I wasn't able to spend all that time on here for a change MADE it crash....
11W and even ventured to BSD. I need a posbang thread to distract from the horrors I witnessed on BSD. It's a pretty bad day when Buckeye writing is the informed and rational stuff you're reading.
So...yeah. Posbangs for everyone, on me! Well, one will be from me.
I did the same, except switch BSD for RCMB. I know, I know, but I just wanted to see if they were cooking up something hilarious.
Google reader had a slow afternoon, too. I just read 11W articles :(
I now know about their backup QB situation (Guiton = no experience), the Buckeye passing game went from a 2 in the spring to a 4 now, and everyone likes Luke Fickell.
That Fickell article was interesting, at least for an Ohio fluff piece. I still think I would have made different decisions than he did, but coming back this season has definitely endeared him to that fanbase.
had to do real work, but kept checking back.
justingblue: was trying to respond to your post in the psu thread just as it happened. was driving me nuts that it wouldn't post.
TWO HOURS IS NOT A BLACKOUT
Says the guy with MgoBlog content in HIS BRAIN.......
Is it in his Brain or in his Brian?
It was more of a brownout.
Did you remember parts of it?
Mmmm, brownies... *drools*...
Did someone ask for a rolling brownout?
MGOBROWNOUT - probably correct but far too boring
MGOBLUEOUT is too Tobias Funke
Too close to MGoBrownNote which... we don't want that here.
I thought Pop Evil only played brown notes.
It felt like forever...
It is when you haven't already had your MGOCOKE fix for the day!
Dear Leader has blessed this thread into immortalization!!!!!
I was productive. It was terrible. The end.
...and checked back every 15 minutes.
I'm working on going through every episode of The Office from the beginning. I'm currently on the final episode of season 2.
and I had two observations:
- I had seen a lot more of that show in passing than I would ever believe.
- Holy [expletive of choice] that is a funny show.
it's odd, this is the first time I've ever seen it in order. I've seen basically every episode ever, but it's so great watching it in order and seeing the character development. All the characters add something to the show. Honestly, might be my favorite show ever.
I cried and layed with in the corner shaking with a bottle of smirnoff.
I took a nap.
but first, I cried...
then I curled up into an MGoFetal position in the corner of my den, with a bottle of cheap liquor, going thru MGoWithdrawalSymptoms, before finally drifting off briefly into an MGoNap.
Suddenly I woke up to the realization that I had forgotten to sign off my home laptop before rushing off to work this morning, meaning I still had up on my screen the "Fred Jackson RB Fluff via Tremendous-Must Read!" thread, which I then proceded to read and reread and re-reread and re-re-reread, over and over again until... Brian got the bugs out!
It was rough, though, let me tell you...
Sat in front of my computer pushing F5.
I can not tell you how happy I am to be back
on Mlive (the Michigan Football portion of it) in years. I might just go look just because car crashes are fun sometimes (not really)
to myself to yell at myself! HOW DARE YOU LET YOURSELF GO TO MLIVE!!! IT WAS HORRIBLE. MY EYES AND BRAIN AND BLEEDING. CURSE YOU MICHFAN1997 FROM A LITTLE BIT OVER TEN MINUTES AGO!!!!
Seriously, had to leave after about 30 seconds. It was that bad. Brain dead.
MLive was my first posting home in the late 90's. (I was 'Andy-go-blue' for anyone interested)
Despite being the John Cooper years, the insane number of buckeye fans was too much. They're just as annoying as they lose as when they win. Had to get out of there.
I started building a bomb shelter.
of the title and body. Could be the chorus of a song.
...trying to figure out this motherboard error code on my desktop. So now I got that going for me, but still...
...dat was vewy scawy...
Did laundry. It was awful.
right, am sure you had a ton after returning from bolivia. can't stand all the wash that builds up after a trip.
That actually was pretty rough. I'm in the process of moving and it actually caused me to have to focus on it.
I had an hour long conversation with co-workers about which Bourne movie was better and why Matt Damon wasn't in the new one - despite his character not dying in the last one. Also talked about - if they're actually good movies or if it's just 1 movie who's plot has been recycled 4 times now.
and a litle Jame Bondish in the plot recycles. It seems to work
So which movie did you decide is best?
Maybe they'll get Bourne back for one of the future movies?
To your last point, I think it is the same plot basically recycled. The Bourne series is like the 'Snuke' South Park episode where they keep going "Who's in charge here?" "Well not anymore you're not". Each film has the head conspirator and/or investigator die and then subsequent film just has some guy that happened to be his/her boss. Legacy is the same thing except he's a better Jason Bourne.
I still really like them because they're exciting. 24 was the same way...
That doesn't give me a seizure.
The books are very good. At least the original Ludlum books are. The basis for the plots are very different even if the basic premise is the same. Much more interesting because it focuses on the continued development of Bourne not just the action.
