[George Campbell decommits]

Submitted by jasgoblue on

This is a rumor on another site (I have no access to premium content). Mods, please delete if I'm out of line, I don't want to violate the site rules and I really agree with Brian's thoughts on how we need to treat commits / recruits / kids.

With that said, rumor is that a big 2015 commit is waivering. We may need to brace ourselves for a decommit. Hopefully, Michigan fans will keep their collective cool and not lose their shit.

Edit: My info is from a free board. As a reminder, here is the MGoBlog policy on paywalled content:

Per everyone, apparently.

This could be a writer who is late to the party on Shaun Crawford's waivering last week. That apparently has been defused after his trip to AA last weekend. IF that's the guy they're talking about.

Do people really not expect this type of stuff to get posted? Word is George Campbell has been contacting FSU and his twitter doesn't say "Michigan commit" like it used to.

  • You might as well relate the gist of some paywalled content. It'll come out anyway.
  • Do not C&P. Rephrase.
  • Don't relate every last detail. Leave the paywalled content some value. In this case, "it looks good for Dee Hart and we should be getting good news relatively soon" would probably work.
  • If you do so, provide a link. Don't just say "Site X says." The link will draw some traffic, may spur conversions, and will help the site with search engine rankings

We need to get a link up in the OP, stat.

Real talk, I am pretty sure Jareth Glanda sold the Michigan Football Team's soul in New Orleans to a voodoo princess in exchange for the Sugar Bowl win.

Its the only possible explanation for the series of unfortunate and unlucky events that have occurred following the teams incredible / immaculate victory over Va-Tech

However I am convinced now more than ever that it is the team that wins games, not individuals.

He has to do what is best for himself. Good luck and best wishes!

I've been expecting this of Campbell since he committed. He's a top 10 player in the class and committed super early. It's natural he's going to start doubting his commitment, especially since it's to a school that struggled and is so far from home. Also, FSU happens to be in Florida and I heard through the grapevine they have a pretty good QB, even if he might be gone by 2015.

I don't think it's really that strict. If you are committed and take visits, they won't hold a spot for you. That being said, teams find room for top recruits. I'm sure Michigan will either hold open a spot or if they fill the expected two receivers slots in the class they will take a third if he wants to recommit.

A lot can happen between then and now. It's way to early to put too much emotion into these hs kids (from a fans perspective that is).

I am more worried about our inability to take care of business on the field right now than I am some hs junior 1300 miles away from here that's going to have every major college up his a*s every day until signing day 2015.

All we can do is keep plugging away on the field. On the recruiting trail. If the kids aren't sold and don't like our school...well then, on to the next!

I 100% agree with this. I said that in a different thread essentially. For guys in 2015 and beyond I just try to look at them as Michigan leans, hoping one day they commit. February 2015 is quite a while from now and kids are gonna be kids and doubt themselves.
