|5 days 9 hours ago||Maybe the midwest teams should just go with it...||
start working on bounce passes, full court press...maybe have a middle linebacker bend down and slap the field every once in a while to get the crowd going.
How do you think an SEC team would respond if they saw a B1G team doing the weave in pregame before the bowl game???
|5 days 14 hours ago||So Michigan||
has become the Chicago Cubs of college football? Come June, talk is always of "wait til next year, World Series champs." Same here...end of September, "This team will be great next year, Big Ten champs."
|5 days 14 hours ago||How often do you||
think Nuss fondly remembers the good ole days of AJ McCarron when Gardner drops back to pass?
|5 days 17 hours ago||I think Graham led||
the nation in tackles for loss (or tfl's per game), and he did have 10.5 sacks. Comparatively, no one on last year's team had more than 5. With the line issues, and Gardner's penchant for turnovers, I could see some mile havoc wrought (wreaked?...not sure)

against inferior competition?
I mean, I would imagine that even the worst college baseball player would hit well against a little leaguer.
|6 days 10 hours ago||Hoke decides to ignore manball||
and he wears 5 layers of long sleeve shirts, to make up for the past few years. The players start the game slow, focusing instead on thinking "Hmmm, maybe our coach IS smart???" They turn it up in the 2nd quarter though, when Hoke claps so hard his right hand falls off, and Michigan wins 45-20.
Now, I know what you are thinking...45 seems a like score in which a field goal occurred...Wile will kick a low liner off the back of the guard, but it will somehow go in (and he will miss another).

would wreak havoc on Gardner all day...and he'd be good for at least 3 turnovers
|1 week 4 days ago||Michigan State...||
they were right there in total yardage with Oregon, and they played pretty well at times in a hostile, hot environment. And if Oregon's DB (I think it was Ekpre-Olomu) didn't make that great diving pick inside the 10, maybe State scores and cuts it to 4 with 7 to play (who knows, could have changed things a bunch).
Also, MSU gets Nebraska at home at night and OSU at home at night. Their trip to Maryland in mid-November will be huge I think, as it is a night roadie.
|1 week 4 days ago||Shouldn't Michigan fans (in the current state)||
of the team, be flattered by the comparison???
|1 week 4 days ago||That kind of equates||
to saying Notre Dame won because Michigan barfed up the game. I agree...some times a team wins a game, some times the other team loses it.
But, USC won because they ran the ball well, their kicker made two long field goals, they came up with big stops. If Michigan were up 13-10 on Notre Dame late, do you think anyone on the D-Line would have been able to come up with a sack-strip like USC did? Would the coaches have even had the guts to call a blitz like that? Would you have any faith for Michigan to get that stop? Or how about the 4th and 1 stop USC came up with inside the 3 earlier in the game?
|1 week 4 days ago||I know there was another||
thread about this...but man ball only works if you have a quarterback capable of taking advantage of passing opportunities. I am just not a big fan of Gardner. I know he has had big games in the past (against quality opponents as well), but he is just not mechanically sound and that leads to some bad throws and turnovers, then he starts to lose confidence it seems and decides to run at the first sign of pressure.
Look back at some of the past QBs (Brady, Navarre, Henne) who were statues, but they all threw the ball well. I realize that the position has changed, but the QB still needs to be able to throw before simply being athletic. Mariotta looks the part when he throws. Golson looks like a QB on quick drops. In my opinion, Gardner does not.

had one big defensive miscue that put Oregon up either 32-27 or 39-27, and at the point the crowd was nuts, the momentum was all Oregon, and their defense picked it up. With the line having been 13, and Oregon scoring late to cover, that loss is not terrible, in my opinion (certainly not as bad as Wisky blowing the lead against LSU).
And I wouldn't write off Ohio State just yet. They seem to have a knack for winning games like this 28-24 or 31-28.

I would agree with you
|1 week 5 days ago||No, I would||
imagine it is quite difficult to replace coaches at the half.

was able to beat?

who ya got tomorrow?
|1 week 5 days ago||That was pretty ugly...||
can't fall behind by 14 right now
|1 week 5 days ago||USC...||
What happened to Tre Madden for USC? Did he leave? Injured? Just outplayed by Allen and Davis? I know this isn't a USC board, just wondering.
|1 week 5 days ago||We can't beat Bill and Mary...||
they're juth too good!
I used to laugh when ESPN had that segment where Lou gave the pep talk to a certain team for the week...were they supposed to be fired up because of what he said? Because he was spitting was on them? Because of the comedy of listening to him? Tell me which it was ESPN!!!
|1 week 6 days ago||I thought I read somewhere||
that it is actually Michigan vs. Texas vs. Oregon (kind of like Chinese checkers) on an aircraft carrier in the Gulf of Mexico. The ratings will be insane!
|2 weeks 4 days ago||I just watch the||
games. It really doesn't matter to me who is calling a game, I don't even think about in fact. If I flip to the ND game, I want to see how they are doing. When I turn on CBS sports to see Ohio State/Navy, I am more interested in the fact that it is 14-13 Navy than if Vern and Gary are the broadcasters. When I watch Bears games, it doesn't matter to me if Joe Buck and Troy Aikman or Daryl Johnston and whoever are calling it, I am just glad to be watching the Bears.
I get why some people are concerned with the announcers, so mute it. As for the bias, I woiuld argue that if some of us were Buckeyes fans, we would scream that Brian Griese is so biased for Michigan. It seems to work against what you are in favor of.
|2 weeks 4 days ago||It is tough to look at||
the oppnents from the first week and gather a ton of info. I am interested to see the reaction of the board (and analysts) after next week. Sparty goes to Oregon, Blue at ND. What if Sparty pulls a Stanford on the Ducks? Or Michigan plays a similar game to 2 years ago in South Bend? Oh the reactions!!!
|2 weeks 5 days ago||Didn't the Rams||
initially say Sam Bradford was going to be fine?

believe all the designs in the gloves. Whatever happened to the traditional black gloves, or even no gloves? Who are we, Oregon??? (insert sarcasm here)

when Vegas has a line that looks funny...stay away! It usually means they know something we don't.
|4 weeks 2 days ago||It worked...||
a quick glance at the ESPN front page, the ESPN NCAAF page, and the board...people are talking about ND uniforms, not a cheating scandal.

seen the Jason Sudeikis ads (where he plays Ted Lasso), I highly recommend them. They are a good laugh as EPL gets going.

there is some sarcasm in here I am missing in relation to things Michigan has gone thru as well
