Nick Sheridan should be on the staff next year
Looks like the Harbaugh clown show will continue into 2021; a good support staff might make him look respectable next year.
The halftime adjustments by IU from OSU to now this game have been great. Backup QB looks ready to go and would start over any QB on M’s roster. IU is lucky to have him.
Hopefully he doesn’t resent UM from his playing days.

Just when I was worried we wouldn’t have another thread like this.
December 5th, 2020 at 5:38 PM ^
Going to have a thread like this until Warde actually does something in terms of Harbaugh’s future.
December 5th, 2020 at 6:05 PM ^
After what Ward seems to have done, we may keep having threads like this.
December 6th, 2020 at 10:32 AM ^
It’s the Kraken of Michigan football: flood the zone.

JFC...
December 5th, 2020 at 5:40 PM ^
I want the whole damn Indiana staff. And roster.
December 5th, 2020 at 10:29 PM ^
It comes with Red and White striped overalls.
December 5th, 2020 at 11:23 PM ^
You can always bleach them and then redye them.
December 6th, 2020 at 12:38 AM ^
Red is hard to bleach out. Ask any dude trying to clean up a crime scene.
December 5th, 2020 at 5:41 PM ^
Think about that staff though, Nick Sheridan, Mike Hart, Larry Foote, Ron Bellamy. Did I forget anyone?
December 5th, 2020 at 5:43 PM ^
Isn't the hate for the Michigan Man mantra directed at the idea that it leads to unqualified coaches being hired solely for their Michigan connection? Is your post not the very embodiment of that?
December 5th, 2020 at 11:07 PM ^
Yes if the coaches are unqualified. It seems like Michigan fans are so used to failure at this point that we're now making the wrong decision at every turn. Even what we want out of a coaching staff is totally misguided. these coaches are not unqualified it's a perfect match!
December 5th, 2020 at 6:44 PM ^
Bring Wheatley back.
December 5th, 2020 at 7:28 PM ^
Our AD’s have had poor judgement with hiring coaches in football. Our HC’s have poor judgements with hiring assistants. When an ex-UM player coaching staff is cutting it up, makes ya wonder why UofM does not look at all options for assistants. Do EX-players only work good as coaches when NOT at UofM?
December 5th, 2020 at 7:51 PM ^
True, but I’d rather have someone like Michael Hart be the RB coach than the coach’s son.
December 5th, 2020 at 8:40 PM ^
Stop with this. Indiana is ranked 118 out of 126 teams in rushing this year. They averaged 2.8 YPC in their game today. They rushed for basically 0 yards against OSU. Their running game is NOT GOOD. As in almost worst in the country. They had a long today of 11 yards. Mike Hart is not an elite running back coach. If he was someone else would have hired him and his portion of the offense wouldn’t be ranked almost last in the entire country. I loved Mike Hart as a player. He is an OK running backs coach. So is Jay. Hart literally does not move the needle. In fact, he very well could be worse.
December 5th, 2020 at 9:12 PM ^
Even if Jaybaugh and Hart are equals as RB coaches, Jaybaugh runs circles around him as a recruiter. And it's not even close... Aside from that, Jay has proven himself as a TE coach, and as a special teams coach.
The people pining for Hart over Jay have nothing other than a lame 'nepotism' argument from 6 years ago.
December 5th, 2020 at 11:21 PM ^
Agreed.
Jay's last name is Harbaugh. People are angry at his dad. This does not make Jay a bad position coach.
He's got a reasonable body of work.
December 5th, 2020 at 11:48 PM ^
Larry Foote is on the staff too at Indiana???
December 6th, 2020 at 12:39 AM ^
Nothing wrong with having those guys as assistants. It's the Michigan Man in charge of the team that needs the boot.
December 5th, 2020 at 5:41 PM ^
Do I just have poorly tinted Michigan glasses? Or does it seem like when Michigan has had to go the backup recently (I know Cade played well in spurts) they seem so ill-prepared?
December 5th, 2020 at 7:11 PM ^
It’s because our backups never are prepared. Just one more indictment of this failed coaching staff.
December 5th, 2020 at 8:47 PM ^
Its called preparation. We do not properly prepare the kids for their game. JH doesn't have game plans.
December 5th, 2020 at 5:42 PM ^
Not going to start a thread cause I dont want the shit that will go with it but the Twitters right now are burning up with a Chris Ballas report that Harbaugh has signed a 3 year extension and it will be announced next week.
So CC threads can take a break for a while it seems.
December 5th, 2020 at 5:43 PM ^
Sigh... RIP to the Matt Campbell dream.
December 6th, 2020 at 9:56 AM ^
It doesn’t have to be. You are free to make the leap to Iowa State, Felicia.
December 5th, 2020 at 5:49 PM ^
Unfortunately, I would have been on board with a lifetime contract for Harbaugh if that's what it took to get him here back when we hired him. In my mind, I made a deal with the universe or God or the Devil or whatever -- and now I have to deal with the consequences. I also made a deal with the same unknown entity during game 7 of the Cubs World Series. This is all on me boys. Michigan blows, Harbaugh blows, the Cubs blow, Theo left Chicago, our Cubs TV broadcaster of 16 years left to do White Sox radio, my Chicago Bears suck, all my quarterbacks suck, my fantasy football team sucks, coronavirus is probably on me, and so on. Michigan basketball is my last glimmer of hope, so expect Juwan to the NBA news shortly.
December 5th, 2020 at 5:50 PM ^
Robert Johnson at the crossroads over here lmao
December 5th, 2020 at 8:39 PM ^
I suspect that was the deal even if it wasn’t in the contract. He could have taken any coaching job in the world but he came home when he was needed.
December 5th, 2020 at 9:15 PM ^
STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM BASKETBALL AND HOCKEY!!!
December 5th, 2020 at 8:02 PM ^
Get Dantonio out of "retirement" to be DC and Urban Meyer to be OC.
December 5th, 2020 at 8:32 PM ^
That would be hilarious.
December 5th, 2020 at 5:43 PM ^
I'm sorry but I just don't see how he leaves Indiana for a lateral position. Same with Hart, Allen, Fleck, etc. They are in good situations, at a B1G school in the West division, and it's not a good look to abandon your team unless it's an obvious promotion that makes sense. Not everyone is exclusively money driven. Add to that the dumpster fire that Michigan appears to be right now.
Maybe alums do want to return someday, but it will be when it's "right" either when their run ends where they currently are, or if it's a promotion. You can always make an offer, but can't the other school block the request for interview with assistants unless it's for a promotion?
December 5th, 2020 at 5:45 PM ^
Indiana is in the East.
December 5th, 2020 at 5:47 PM ^
+1 OK, got me there, but I still don't see it.
December 5th, 2020 at 5:49 PM ^
More money, more resources, more exposure, access to 4 and 5 star players
December 5th, 2020 at 5:45 PM ^
Do you--do you think Indiana plays in the west division?
December 5th, 2020 at 7:03 PM ^
It’s not really a lateral move if you get paid a ton more. Plus I’m sure there are other perks that Michigan offers that Indiana doesn’t.
December 5th, 2020 at 10:37 PM ^
The more money excuse isn't a valid one... Tom Allen isn't the type of guy that strikes me as one to leave his team simply for more money. His players love him and he loves IU.
To leave and go to Michigan is a bit of a douche thing to do, like Mattison going to OSU.
December 6th, 2020 at 12:27 AM ^
To leave and go to Michigan is a bit of a douche thing to do, like Mattison going to OSU
And if that is the ultimate indictment of our head coach, I don't know what is.
December 6th, 2020 at 8:57 AM ^
Tom Allen is an Indiana guy, he was born in Indiana, coached at former high school powerhouse Ben Davis and Marian and Wabash college, looks like he got a degree from IU as well. He’s probably not leaving Indiana for more money because he’s in the perfect position for him.
December 5th, 2020 at 5:43 PM ^
Sheridammit!!!!
December 5th, 2020 at 5:44 PM ^
The only way this gets better is if Harbaugh is gone. If you have made this many coaching staff changes in 6 years, it ain't going to be any different with more tweaks to it. The poor clock management will still be there. The coaching brain farts will still be there.
December 5th, 2020 at 5:44 PM ^
Only if David Cone is the DC
December 5th, 2020 at 5:55 PM ^
Threet.
December 5th, 2020 at 5:54 PM ^
Not gonna happen.
JH will back with a 3 yr gig.
Maybe a coordinator change, but nobody is leaving their present teams that have better program trajectories.
At least 4 BIG programs looking better coached at this point.
December 5th, 2020 at 8:54 PM ^
No offensive coordinator change. We have too many small receivers to let him go. If the head coach would whisper in in QBs ear and actually develop them the OC will improve.
December 5th, 2020 at 6:10 PM ^
If Harbaugh is still the coach I won’t be attending a game next season. Let’s see how well warde can sell coke!
December 5th, 2020 at 9:33 PM ^
I'm gonna need a ton of coke to make it through next season if Harbaugh is around next year.
December 5th, 2020 at 11:25 PM ^
Ah, if I had a dollar for every poster who claimed he's "done" or "won't watch another game" on this board.
