It isn’t Jim Harbaugh
November 21st, 2020 at 9:27 PM ^
Yeah, who recruited these guys?
November 22nd, 2020 at 1:42 AM ^
You do realize it's not actually the head coach, right?
It's position.
November 22nd, 2020 at 10:24 PM ^
So the head coach plays no role in recruiting players?
Man, and all these years I thought the HC was in charge of all aspects of the team and I come to find that he’s only a figurehead. Learn something new everyday I guess.
November 21st, 2020 at 9:28 PM ^
That’s a complete reflection of the coach. How do you expect players to get fired up when the coach acts like he doesn’t give a shit?
November 21st, 2020 at 9:39 PM ^
Yep, shouldn't be that hard to understand.
November 21st, 2020 at 9:47 PM ^
When you have badly trained soldiers who can’t do their job, constantly loose battles, and are ill disciplined you don’t blame the soldiers...you blame the Commanding Officer in charge of the soldiers. That person is Jim Harbaugh.
November 21st, 2020 at 9:52 PM ^
I suck at chess...fuck my terrible pawns!
November 21st, 2020 at 10:15 PM ^
Half my pieces are always pawns, no wonder I lose so much.
November 21st, 2020 at 10:16 PM ^
Mine always try to ram straight forward into pieces right in front of them!
November 21st, 2020 at 11:07 PM ^
If you keep losing battles how are there any soldiers or Commanding Officers left to blame?
November 21st, 2020 at 9:28 PM ^
Harbaugh at halftime.
Yells at a locker.
Puts on his cleats and walks in the stall for a shit.
November 21st, 2020 at 9:29 PM ^
That's on the coach to fill a team of recruits willing to do that and is who is also supposed to motivate them. Let's be honest though, the culture of the program and probably the athletic department in general is what needs to change before Michigan finally get with the times and ever wins another conference championship let alone competes for the playoff.
November 21st, 2020 at 9:31 PM ^
This is a Michigan football program, not an athletic department program
Hockey, baseball, softball, and both men's and women's basketball are all on upward trajectories. It's not a systemic issue, it's literally just football
November 21st, 2020 at 10:02 PM ^
I mean Michigan wins conference championships at a pretty competitive clip for any rational minded person in a lot of varsity sports. I don't think we can say it's an Athletic Department problem across all sports.
I am starting to think the athletic department's relationship and approach specifically related to the football program is a pretty deep systemic issue. Seems like we've seen the football program underachieve season after season for the past.. two decades? Across now 4 different coaches. At some point you have to wonder if it's the coach or the institution.
November 22nd, 2020 at 11:01 AM ^
But what I don't get with this argument is that their other sports teams are doing just fine but the face of their program, their crown jewel, is struggling the most.
Juwan Howard is at least exuding a promising future.
Mel Pearson is heading the hockey program in the right direction.
Baseball got all the way to the World Series final before running into a buzzsaw.
It does not have to be this hard.
November 21st, 2020 at 9:29 PM ^
Classy move to blame the unpaid 3 star backups from Massachusetts for not playing hard enough and not the millionaire coaches
November 21st, 2020 at 9:44 PM ^
Yeah, sure. It’s about class. Dumb ass.
November 21st, 2020 at 10:35 PM ^
Yea, take the L on this one
November 21st, 2020 at 9:29 PM ^
Yes, it is. Asshole.
November 21st, 2020 at 9:29 PM ^
Bullshit. Team takes on the identity of the head coach. Also another clock management abortion at the end of the half. Harbaugh is terrible
November 21st, 2020 at 10:02 PM ^
absolutely. otherwise, why pay him the big $$$
November 21st, 2020 at 9:30 PM ^
There are numerous coaches across the country who do significantly more with less. This is a coaching problem. Period
November 21st, 2020 at 9:41 PM ^
There's one not too far from AA, he likes to wear purple though.
November 21st, 2020 at 10:07 PM ^
Pat Fitz. Good luck with that.
November 21st, 2020 at 11:13 PM ^
You mean pat fitzpat
November 21st, 2020 at 9:30 PM ^
It's not Harbaugh...remind me why we are paying him then?
November 21st, 2020 at 9:30 PM ^
Name one coach whose unit has been average to date. Warriner due to injuries. The rest?
And then name any one of those other coaches that would get a quality job with another program.
November 21st, 2020 at 9:31 PM ^
Whoever recruited these guys should be fired.
November 21st, 2020 at 9:31 PM ^
So you are not a fan of “the buck stops here” school of leadership, I take it?
November 21st, 2020 at 9:31 PM ^
If you listen closely. You can hear the distant sound of tweets of star'd recruits decommttting.

November 21st, 2020 at 9:31 PM ^
Simple answer.... it’s JIM FUCKING HARBAUGH! If you can’t tell he’s the problem yet you need to find a new hobby.
November 21st, 2020 at 9:35 PM ^
November 21st, 2020 at 9:46 PM ^
You are stupid
November 22nd, 2020 at 12:54 AM ^
They were just concussed by the ohio state brick wall.
November 21st, 2020 at 9:33 PM ^
Sorry for the re-posts, don't know why that happened
November 21st, 2020 at 9:34 PM ^
You make yourself look really uneducated putting out a post like this. You do realize that the guy ultimately responsible for the lack of what you mentioned is the HEAD COACH!!
November 21st, 2020 at 9:46 PM ^
No, I am not uneducated. Try again.
November 21st, 2020 at 10:19 PM ^
I don't know that born dumb is a better look.
November 22nd, 2020 at 11:04 AM ^
Fuck off.
November 22nd, 2020 at 12:32 PM ^
And mature too.
November 21st, 2020 at 9:36 PM ^
There's no spark but I am hoping McNamara can be that spark. I have some hope. He seems to have lifted the team on both sides of the ball.
November 21st, 2020 at 9:37 PM ^
Dipshit wasted 7 seconds b4 calling that timeout. He's clueless.
November 21st, 2020 at 9:38 PM ^
He recruited them, coached them, and let them down repeatedly. They don't trust him and THAT is his fault.
November 21st, 2020 at 9:39 PM ^
Attitude reflects leadership.
November 21st, 2020 at 9:39 PM ^
No way you hit enter without laughing.
November 21st, 2020 at 9:48 PM ^
I did. I am good with it.
November 21st, 2020 at 9:39 PM ^
He can certainly bench them and give someone some of his two cents when they are loafing or other. The coach totally can motivate or de-motivate. The fire starts at the top.
It's simple ... who wants to start? I need 100% effort or I will put someone else in that will regardless of talent level. I WANT EFFORT and I want people who want to win. He can chew some ass when needed. Sometimes it is needed. I hated getting yelled at for missed assignments as I was always hard on myself and hated losing but having the coach yell at me just made me even more pissed off than I was which worked most of the time. Get them fired up!
You can see a few that are playing hard and trying, it's not like none of them are trying. I feel it is the head coach at this point. Something has failed from the top down. I think we could still come back in this game but man ..... uuuugh.
