Columbus weather looks icky on Saturday

Ryan Day says "errrr nerrrr!"

Key matchup:

OSU's downfield passing in snow/rain and mid 30s vs Indiana's screen game in snow/rain and mid 30s.

Here is the current forecast for ~1 hr after kickoff. 35 and light wind, but likely wet and snowy.

it would be great to start to have the voices inside their little scarlet heads whisper 'soooffffttt.  ssoooofffft'

doubt it will happen, but they certainly have stumbled some this year.  that said, i remember '16 and '18 when we were actually favored down there and some of the buckeye faithful were nervous, and we know how those turned out.  no trash talking, just get it done.  42-27 would be just fine.

IMO, ideally, they would face their first winter weather in The Game and shit the bed. Looks like their second game in a row getting some experience with it.

Yep.  I watched the game.  It was very gusty.  The kickers and punters were having a hard time, too.

So, it didn't surprise me that anOSU's passing was crap in that.

What was surprising was that they didn't have much of a run game and weren't totally shutting down Northwestern.

That’s what makes a complete team. Granted if our run game gets shut down I have my doubts as to whether JJ can win a game by himself, although he certainly has the talent and has proven himself as a gamer. I don’t believe for a second that OSU can pound a team into submission the way we can. I think all Saturday will do is lessen strouds chances to win a heisman. When Indiana plays us they act as if it’s their national championship, yet whenever chompers  plays OSU they roll over like a dog getting its belly scratched.

Damn. Was hoping it would be warm and dry there until the last weekend of the month.
The less experience they have with bad weather and the more uncertainty and doubt, the better.

cali, when i played out west and it rained, i would mercilessly abuse my teammates who were not used to playing in any kind of weather.  as you would know, it doesn't rain much in most of cal, but when it does it can last for days.

snow is expected up north this weekend. 70+ degrees today.

The thing that is crazy about their excuse is that it was barely even snowing during The Game last year. Afterwards, there was a snowstorm in the evening but only a few flurries from 12 until 330.

Football should be played in a dome. Skilled players should be allowed to shine. Who wants to see a sloppy game played in rain and snow?

Great teams can play in all types of conditions.

Even NBA arenas (indoors) are at different temperatures, altitudes and depth perception for shooters.

You don't hear Steph Curry bitching about the distance from the stands in different arenas and the Utah altitude reality is just accepted, not an excuse.

Same with Tennis being played on different surfaces and different variations of those same surfaces.

Baseball....all stadiums different in geography.

Etc, etc, etc.

Great teams are built to win in all conditions, not in a bubble wrapped vacuum like born on 3rd OSU

OSU fans last year: "I'm not saying the weather was a reason why TTUN beat us, but....."

*proceeds to gnash their tooth why aOSU only lost because of the snow*
