Columbus weather looks icky on Saturday
November 10th, 2022 at 7:36 PM ^
Too bad most of the teams in the big ten suck it doesn't matter what happens
November 10th, 2022 at 7:36 PM ^
A solitary osu loss to another opponent does not help us in any way (in fact, it only hurts our playoff chances), but I would still love to see it
November 10th, 2022 at 7:53 PM ^
it would be great to start to have the voices inside their little scarlet heads whisper 'soooffffttt. ssoooofffft'
doubt it will happen, but they certainly have stumbled some this year. that said, i remember '16 and '18 when we were actually favored down there and some of the buckeye faithful were nervous, and we know how those turned out. no trash talking, just get it done. 42-27 would be just fine.

Freddie P Soft sitting on CJ’s shoulder works for me

you're sooooffffttt
you're soofffttt

dum dum
November 11th, 2022 at 12:40 AM ^
Fast forward to 10:05 if it doesn't start playback at that time.
November 10th, 2022 at 7:38 PM ^
IMO, ideally, they would face their first winter weather in The Game and shit the bed. Looks like their second game in a row getting some experience with it.
November 10th, 2022 at 9:16 PM ^
It's Ohio. They've played in cold - wet weather before. What screws their offense up is high winds - like last Saturday in Chicago. I read that one gust at O'Hara measured 76 MPH at 2:00 last Saturday afternoon. The rain was blowing sideways at times on the field.
November 10th, 2022 at 10:22 PM ^
Yep. I watched the game. It was very gusty. The kickers and punters were having a hard time, too.
So, it didn't surprise me that anOSU's passing was crap in that.
What was surprising was that they didn't have much of a run game and weren't totally shutting down Northwestern.
November 11th, 2022 at 6:07 AM ^
That’s what makes a complete team. Granted if our run game gets shut down I have my doubts as to whether JJ can win a game by himself, although he certainly has the talent and has proven himself as a gamer. I don’t believe for a second that OSU can pound a team into submission the way we can. I think all Saturday will do is lessen strouds chances to win a heisman. When Indiana plays us they act as if it’s their national championship, yet whenever chompers plays OSU they roll over like a dog getting its belly scratched.
November 10th, 2022 at 10:48 PM ^
The wind was insane. My 6 y/o’s soccer game was on the lakefront in the northern end of chi. No way to throw a football with some of those gusts.
November 10th, 2022 at 9:37 PM ^
Any rule against us bringing in snow machines?
November 10th, 2022 at 10:05 PM ^
On the flip side, if they continue to play in bad weather, we'll have a better idea of what their game plan would be.
November 10th, 2022 at 11:11 PM ^
Their game plan is to build a retractable roof.
Soft ass team.
November 10th, 2022 at 7:46 PM ^
Damn. Was hoping it would be warm and dry there until the last weekend of the month.
The less experience they have with bad weather and the more uncertainty and doubt, the better.
November 10th, 2022 at 7:50 PM ^
Our 2nd half weather doesn't look too nice either. We might get snowed on.
November 10th, 2022 at 8:26 PM ^
What you mean is “We might get to play in SNOW!”
November 10th, 2022 at 10:07 PM ^
There's an 8% chance of precipitation and temps hovering around 40. Maybe the forecast shifted since you last saw it, but I think we'll be fine.
Either way, if we have to worry about the 2nd half weather, we didn't do something right in the 1st half.
November 11th, 2022 at 9:58 AM ^
The forecast for the second half is an ass whooping per our past games’ performance in the second half.
November 10th, 2022 at 7:51 PM ^
cali, when i played out west and it rained, i would mercilessly abuse my teammates who were not used to playing in any kind of weather. as you would know, it doesn't rain much in most of cal, but when it does it can last for days.
snow is expected up north this weekend. 70+ degrees today.
November 10th, 2022 at 11:31 PM ^
Weren't those mid-70s temps great today?
In shorts and t-shirt, I got out on the bike trail today and rode, and rode, and rode some more, doing 35 miles and finally reaching home an hour after sundown (yes, I have bike headlights) with the temp still in the mid 60's.
November 10th, 2022 at 9:23 PM ^
Would that make them. . . warmer poopers?
November 10th, 2022 at 8:05 PM ^
Icky.
Is that an industry term?
November 11th, 2022 at 1:15 AM ^
It's the "word" that pops into CJ Stroud's head when he thinks about snow.
November 10th, 2022 at 8:06 PM ^
Hoping this is a stationary front that stays in Columbus for like two and half weeks.
November 11th, 2022 at 6:09 AM ^
“Gonna get some cold cuts today!” (Spikes the ham slices) One of my favorite commercials.
November 10th, 2022 at 8:31 PM ^
The thing that is crazy about their excuse is that it was barely even snowing during The Game last year. Afterwards, there was a snowstorm in the evening but only a few flurries from 12 until 330.
November 10th, 2022 at 8:38 PM ^
The snow looked great.
It did not meaningfully affect play.
Light dustings of snow just aren't that big of a deal. The field had plenty of traction, you could grip the ball... it was way better than 30s and rain, for example.
November 10th, 2022 at 9:40 PM ^
Don't forget that even though they had the flu, no one on Michigan's team got it the next week.
November 10th, 2022 at 10:26 PM ^
I dunno, in the 3rd (from the top) row I had to blink the snow out of my eyes like 5 times. 42-27
November 10th, 2022 at 10:51 PM ^
Yeah the weather excuse is bs, it was pretty mild feeling
November 10th, 2022 at 9:12 PM ^
No worries. OSU will pull it out 17-10.
November 10th, 2022 at 9:13 PM ^
Please forward this forecast to the The Game
November 11th, 2022 at 1:12 AM ^
The NAM doesn't go that far. The global models that do are meaningless that far out.
November 10th, 2022 at 9:18 PM ^
Better them than us.
November 10th, 2022 at 9:19 PM ^
Football should be played in a dome. Skilled players should be allowed to shine. Who wants to see a sloppy game played in rain and snow?
November 10th, 2022 at 9:48 PM ^
ah, a buckeye fan amongst us born on third base in a nice shady spot. not too hot, not too cold.
real men play outside.
buckeyes are 'finesse' types. talented, no doubt, but maybe those spines aren't quite as stiff as they need to be?
November 10th, 2022 at 10:18 PM ^
I won't downvote you, but I disagree with this with every fiber of my being. A snowy, muddy field is the platonic ideal of a place to play football.
November 10th, 2022 at 10:51 PM ^
Nah. Indy under the dome for the B1G title game is the best. Playing in the snow rewards 1960s 3 yards and a cloud of dust football. The Superbowl is played in a dome or in warm weather precisely to allow the players to be at their best and not let weather affect the outcome.
November 10th, 2022 at 11:40 PM ^
Great teams can play in all types of conditions.
Even NBA arenas (indoors) are at different temperatures, altitudes and depth perception for shooters.
You don't hear Steph Curry bitching about the distance from the stands in different arenas and the Utah altitude reality is just accepted, not an excuse.
Same with Tennis being played on different surfaces and different variations of those same surfaces.
Baseball....all stadiums different in geography.
Etc, etc, etc.
Great teams are built to win in all conditions, not in a bubble wrapped vacuum like born on 3rd OSU
November 10th, 2022 at 9:46 PM ^
Ohioans have been checking almanacs and weather apps like crazy for the 11/26 forecast 😆😂
November 10th, 2022 at 9:48 PM ^
OSU fans last year: "I'm not saying the weather was a reason why TTUN beat us, but....."
*proceeds to gnash their tooth why aOSU only lost because of the snow*
November 10th, 2022 at 10:26 PM ^
Looks like Erie PA is blowing smoke at Cincy.
November 10th, 2022 at 11:38 PM ^
Honestly, weather at the game last year (snow & cold, not wind) didn’t really slow down their passing game.
November 11th, 2022 at 2:32 AM ^
This is true. Miracle catches and plenty receiving yards were had. It makes you wonder why Matt Millen and Cyan Day both covet the same position over all others - Wide Receiver.
Hmmm.
