12 and 14 team fbs dance mighty boosh. 16 or bust

Submitted by spacecowboy on March 6th, 2024 at 4:44 PM

ND does not deserve it's own deal in any fbs setup as per the leading 14 team proposal.

Take it to 16 with 1-16 playing it out on homefields per a composite of 3 or so major ranking systems; 1 plays 16 and so on.

the "straight up, fair deal" plan.  unfortunately this does not punish ND for not being in a conference but it seems fairest and most exciting plan.  A 3rd place game would be worth it and would spice up championship week.

So anyways there's this thing I thought.  And I thought it for a while now, no, maybe i didn't.  It seemed like a while but really it was like WOW, there and gone.  So while this, you know, stuff going on with football, teams and whatnot.  Right?

Clearly this needed a post I thought.  So when I came back there (or was it here), anyways, I said "everyone needs to see this" and I did.

Discuss.

I do regularly create ridiculous plans that would make college football "better" in my mind and I've thought about throwing them out ot the board but instead I just message TimTeBro with them because he knows me and can't neg me outside of this site

He smoked 12 - 14 mighty boosh and danced up a storm.

So I went to Google Translate converted it to Swahili and translated it back.

The results make more sense:

Teams 12 and 14 FBS played the mighty Boosh.

Based on the proposal of the 14 leading teams, ND does not have to have your own plan in any fbs configuration. Bring it to 16, of which 1-16 are played at home, with a combination of 3 or so main level systems each; 16 and more.

Stupid straight, fair business wife deal.

Unfortunately, ND isn't punished for not attending the convention, but it seems to be the fairest and most exciting plan. The race for third place is worth it and will spice up championship week.

Step 1: put all the best teams together to play one another, and cutting off the smaller schools that give the game its color

step 2: make a tournament where the best teams play each other AGAIN, and AGAIN cut off the smaller schools that give another popular college tournament all its color

step 3: profit

oh damn that's what they did

I saw Dance Mighty Boosh in a small club in New Orleans a couple of years ago. Sort of a punk-zydeco-ska mix with a dash of Clifton Chenier and a bit of Professor Longhair.

How about a 134-team quadruple-elimination bracket?

We'll have from 532 to 535 different games as part of the tournament!  SO MUCH TV inventory.

Ignoring the goofy bits, yes. 12 and 14 is dumb. Should have been 16 from the jump. Neutral sites before the semifinals is criminal but the NCAA is criminal.

Third place game = pointless. There’s a reason the bowl games are dying.
