That loss is all on the caching staff played not to lose instead of to win.  Up by 10 and they try running the clock out with that line that can't run block.   They think all of a sudden they will be able to.   So pissed at those stupid decisions from Brady n Borges.   I think Borges sucks he is not willing to adapt it seems and runs the same plaus over and over no creativity.  I think to become an elite team we need  new off. Coordinator.    Borges is a fat ass and needs to retire or just be a qb coach.

if you think Michigan doesn't at least have a chance to get to the BTCG. NW has two losses. We still control our destiny. It will be harder, and the odds certainly dipped a lot after tonight. But I think it's hyperbole to say what you just said.

Let's not forget that Michigan SHOULD have won tonight. As in, they practically did. If not for almost every imaginable thing going wrong in the last 4 minutes of regulation.

I wish I could be more optimistic, but I just watched our running game get 28 yards on 30 carries against a shitpoor PSU defense.

I just watched our QB throw giftpicks and get mauled by nine defenders on every third and long (which was almost every third) because our OC apparently hasn't learned how to take advantage of a tipped full house blitz in long yardage passing situations.

I just watched us get outplayed, outcoached, outclassed by Akron and UConn.

I just watched MSU and Nebraska do what you're supposed to do with shit teams like PSU.

We are a bottom half conference team in a bad conference.

Start asking hard questions.

Heard this same overly optimistic bs 3 outta the last 4 games. It's the same game every game. We try and run the ball up the middle. Fitz loses 3-4 yds. The d knows we can't run. Denard 2.0 has to save the world. Turns ball over again and again and again. Turns into a nailbiter. Our Oline has shown NO IMPROVEMENT. NONE.

To top it off our d gives up 80 yards in 57 seconds. Stupid effing conservative coaching. Stupid game mgmt. MAKE A EFFIN GD FIELD GOAL.

Can't imagine what the test of this season brings.

Can we beat Indiana? Hmmm.

MSU at msu. Nope.

Nebraska at home. Hmmmm

NW at nw? Hmmmmmmm.

Ohio. Hmmmmm.

Not feeling good guys. Not feeling good.

Iowa at Iowa....hmmmmmm.

My question is....How can we not show improvement.  With runblocking. I'm no football guru but THEY all say "offensive linemen love to runblock".  Put a big body on another big body and move him backward.  Even a yard would be nice.  It's time to answer the big questions?  Why arent we improving in the run game.  I think its because our players aren't getting coached properly on it.  We have the talent.  Yet we fail to show improvement from week to week.  To top it off I just dont think Fitz is the guy we are looking for.  He seems stuck in the spread offense of yesterday.  Gets the ball and automatically starts running down the line instead of just pounding it straight forward.  I know its hard to pin on him with the way the blocking is but the combination of our Oline and him is just terrible right now.  We blow.  Defenses know it, and our coaches just cant seem to help out our players.

Am I giving up on the team.  No.  But its extremely frustrating to watch lesser teams get the better of us on a weekly basis.  I guess we're just at the point where there is no more rabbits to pull out of our as*es.  Its all going to boil down to how bad the players want to fight, scrap and claw.  Especially DG.  Running the ball 20 times a game...its going to be a punishing season. Buckle up fellers, its could get ugly.

We do not have the talent. We do have one all-american, one good end, and then: doom. I don't want to be the guy to beat the RichRod dead horse, but let us not forget the horrible recruiting he did on the O line, or on the entire roster for that matter. For every starter RR recruited we have two "doesn't play here anymore's." Additionally, he recruited one OL in one of his years (2010?). Brady Hoke is not only rebuilding a program, but is digging out of the greatest craters ever created at Michigan.

As for the general complaining about the play calling. Was it great: no. But you people have played way to much Madden/NCAA for your own good. We have a weak OL, a QB that can succumb to idiotic turn overs on a moments notice, and a kicker who has been pretty solid this year. Many act like we should be gunslinging down the field with reckless abondandment instead of releying on  easier than average kick from and above average kicker. We cry about how many TOs this team gives up and then turn on the coaches when they do something showing an aversion to TOs.

First thing I've read that makes sense. Borges calls pass plays and Gardner throws a pick to end the game and all of these people get on Borges again. Guy can't win as he's between a rock and a hard place. I just want 5 veteran o line players for once and if we still can't run the ball ill get on board against the coaching staff

"Doing the same thing and expecting different results is insanity."

You assume none of the "every imaginable thing going wrong" will show up the rest of the season, when it's shown up in nearly every game thus far. Its beyond "they just need to gel", or "need more experience", etc; It's become apparent to me that Notre Dame was an illusion, not reality. This team will not win the Big Ten. And if this line can't produce positive yards with Lewan and Schofield, what does that mean for next year? I shudder to think....

I'm not sure about the IQ of the coaching staff. Not calling that TO before the end of regulation? NO ONE was paying attention to the play clock in that situation? How can that happen? Those 5 yards wre precious.

I spend all week at the police academy getting my rear end kicked.  All I look forward to is watching michigan games on the weekend.  I feel like I just went through a redman scenario after that one...

Gardner plays like a very talented RS freshman. Moments of brilliance mixed with moments of wtf.  That is cool and all but the talent around him is not sufficient to be so bipolar.  He cost us 14 points straight away.  The defense played more than well enough to win this game and by a comfortable margin.  There are many places to place blame for this game and as well as Devin played in the 2nd half he did a major disservice to the team in the 1st half.  That said he has no OL and no running game at all to support him so its a clusterf***.

That was my thought too. The silver lining was he threw two picks, one bad one but didn't implode. He made some nice throws and also nice decisions to tuck and run. That's not bad when it's pretty clear the entire offense was on his shoulders, that's a lot of pressure for anyone, and he handled it well.

Let's get a list going of all the ways we could have spent the last four and a half hours that would have been more enjoyable than watching that. I'll start with getting kicked in the testicles every ten seconds by Zoltan Mesko.
