I saw some doing it last season, seems to have become universal this year.

I'm only thirty percent joking when I say I want Copp at QB tomorrow.

I’m going to talk about The Game today. I’m not going to take a question about it. I’m going to talk about this comment I haven’t read this comment—, but it was brought to me by a mother.... of children.

If you had to rate Jake Ryan's performance on a scale of 1-16, how many candles would you give it?

College hockey doesn't look right now that goalies can wear cat eye cages. I don't know how many people I have to complain about this to before goalies are forced back into cages that provide worse sightlines for the sake of my aesthetic pleasure, but I'm willing to complain to all of them.

Let's get a list going of all the ways we could have spent the last four and a half hours that would have been more enjoyable than watching that. I'll start with getting kicked in the testicles every ten seconds by Zoltan Mesko.

If anyone on the Notre Dame offense is rolling, the glowsticks would distract them for hours.

I left my room and went for a walk as soon as this game ended. Not only did I forget to lock my door, I forgot to close it on the way out. At this point I blacked out before coming to on a park bench a few miles from my apartment. I remember staring into space, my body trembling the whole time as I tried to calm myself down for seemingly an hour. I walked back home, picked up cheap vodka and spent the rest of the weekend getting drunk while watching Anchorman on a loop with all of my lights turned off, while I ignored a few dozen "Are you okay, man? We're all worried about you" text messages. So, yes, I vote for The Horror.

Good night sweet prince.

I took the Kings to the cup. Granted it was against the computer with the offsides turned off.

I mean everyone defrauds people, murders people, steals from you, steals from me, whatever.

I had the NCAA Gamebreaker video game sometime in the mid-late 90s on the original playstation. The disc got scratched and all the audio was screwed up. Eventually the play-by-play was reduced to Keith Jackson yelling "WHOA NELLY" randomly throughout the games. It was perfect.
|35 weeks 2 days ago||Basketball||
I don't like basketball. I grew up in a strange foreign land where we had no time for sports not played on frozen sheets of water, so I never played growing up and on my eighteenth birthday I'm sure I had seen fewer than five complete games in my life. I hop on the Michigan bandwagon come tournament time for the same reason you can find me watching the Softball World Series when Michigan is in that. Heading in to this tournament I knew the names of most of the Michigan roster, even if I thought Spike was black until I watched the VCU game.
Despite not actually following the basketball team, despite not liking the sport they play, every year when they're eliminated I find myself incredibly sad. Beilein has created such an enjoyable group of guys to cheer for. I loved watching this team for the past three weeks and am so upset it is over. I can't imagine how bad this must feel to anyone who has memories of the Ellerbe era or like, the regular season.

I agreed months ago to plans with my girlfriend that night. There is no way I can watch it live without ending our relationship. It's too bad, I really liked her.

I like the cut of your jib.
|1 year 1 week ago||Yup||
The Turco grip took my puck handling from a liability to a strength almost immediately. It's just absurd how much easier it is to use. Fully expect it to be nearly universal within a generation of NHL goalies.
|1 year 3 weeks ago||Denard||
Back in the fall of 2010, I was at the worst point in my life and was just generally an all around depressed motherfucker who spent a shitload of time considering killing myself. One of the few things that got me through the practically intolerably long week was knowing that I got to watch three hours of Denard every Saturday. A lot of good things happened in the last few years and I'm fine now, but I'm honestly unsure I would have stuck around long enough to see them had it not been for Nard Dawg. So, I would like to extend the biggest most sincere thank you of my life to Denard.

I left work early to watch that game and was pissed off I used up personal time on that abomination. Can't imagine the feeling of having gone to Honduras to watch it.

Jake Ryan needs to wear #16 after Nard Dawg leaves.
|1 year 30 weeks ago||1989||
The ending to the 1989 English season was pretty fantastic, I recomnend everyone youtube it. Don't know if it was better than today, but I don't think I've ever witnessed anything better than today in sports.

Hello Nasty was my first and a Beastie Boys greatest hits was the second. On top of that, I used to steal my older brother's Ill Communication cassette all the time.
Anyway, to tribute MCA I feel like it would be solid for China to free Tibet today.
|1 year 32 weeks ago||Rugby Safety||
Does anyone know if rugby is noticeably safer than american football especially later in life? Admittedly I've never seen any real stats between football and other sports that seem like they might be equally dangerous.
|1 year 32 weeks ago||Sorry||
But, we can't accept what is going on in football. If the life expectancy of an NFL player is only 55 and those who make it past that age are usually crippled mentally and physically, that just is not acceptable. I love watching football, I've given up hours of my life every Saturday in the fall for years and been happy to do it since I can't think of anything more enjoyable. That said, I can't keep doing it much longer if the game does not become noticeably safer.
