The plan tonight is to watch 1st half of basketball, switch to Hockey on BTN2go at 8:00 and watch hockey. DVR basketball and watch during intermissions. I probably won't post and will read later because someone will inevitably post basketball stores (BTN probably will too which will suck)..

hockey just means a lot more to me. i will likely have the bball game on tv and stream hockey on tablet but sound will be on hockey. I am as big of a fan of the Hockey program as i am the football program, i know im in a VERY small minority in that reard (maybe alone).

Don't get me wrong i am a huge Michigan Basketball fan too. My Hockey fandom runs a lot further back than basketball (only started following in the later years of Tommy Amaker)

The shot disparity in this game is pretty amazing. At one point PSU was outshooting Northern 4:1 but was down 4-1

yes this is why in my previw diary i said it was important for minnesota to go no worse than 1-1. they could've really helped us out with a couple of wins instead they are dragging us down a bit

Do we get an automatic bid by winning the conference? If that's the case, I really don't care what the Gophers do. Personally, I've always hated them and the whole "state of hockey" arrogance.

Not for winning the regular season - though it's hard to imagine a scenario where we win the league and aren't comfortably in before the B1G tournament starts. Unless the Big Ten just devours itself and you get some oddball scenario where 1-4 are all equally bad and have beaten each others records up

It's going to be a deadweight to us because we basically have no chances for good wins for the rest of the season. We're going to need to beat most of the teams we play - continuing with Wisconsin tonight
