This is very true, there was nothing like doing offseason lifting at the same time as the football team.
|41 weeks 1 day ago||This is beyond absurd now||
I played college golf at the division three level and it was far removed from the experience that D1 athletes have. But we went on a spring break trip every year, as do many college golf teams. We spent the entirety of our two week trip travelling. We went from Jacksonville all the way up to Pinehurst and it was some of the best times I have had. The hypocrisy of the NCAA in this situation is laughable because spring break trips exist at every level and coming from a former athlete, I loved every second of it.

Plus all of the PSU fans that commented on it who talked about saving their newspapers with the catch on them or the people that have fatheads of the catch. I guess I didn't realize how "legendary" of a moment it was.

As a law enforcement officer, this is a disappointingly ignorant statement. Each day people in the profession go to work with the goal to do the job right. Not to be racist, not to kill someone and not to make the news. Each day, a huge majority are able to do that and unfortunately a small minority are placed in a situation where lethal force may be required. If you ask any officer, I'd say 99% would say a perfect career would be one in which they would not have to discharge their weapon at any point. Now is every shooting justified? No (see the SC incident), and any officer I have spoken with regarding incidents such as that are just as disturbed by it as anyone else. If that is truly the view you have of the profession, I recommend signing up for a ride along. It may not change your opinion completely, but at the very least, it could help shed some light on what is faced each day.

Growing up with a sidewalk that went through our front yard, playing football with buddies meant tightroping that sidewalk just like Woodson and I always tried for that MSU interception. (I always failed that one)

About to start a night shift 5 p.m.-3 a.m. However, I will be dealing with plenty of drunks.

Well this is kind of a bummer to start the week.

If you can, make it to citizen burger on the downtown mall. Some of the best burgers I've had.

All of these are great games, but I've always wanted to see the 2003 comeback game against Wisconsin when Daniel Horton went off for 25 as a Freshman. I know it's easy to skip over that time in the program but that was a great game to watch.

To the coaching staff and the players, I had a great time watching this team grow this year. While it was disappointing at the start, it was fun to have no expectations and see how strong this team can be next year. I'm thrilled to have Beilein as our coach and I hope to see a few big commits in 2016.
|1 year 42 weeks ago||Sorry||
I know you two are discussing it but the team Beilein first inherited from Amaker was NOT good. At all. I don't think he was gifted anything from Tommy.

It hurts to lose to state but damn I'm so freaking proud of this team today. Way to fight...I think next year could end up being a good year.
|1 year 44 weeks ago||I see||
I see you've been drinking the Haterade. Was it delicious? I don't think anyone thinks we just won a title, but c'mon, a double figures win against a team that can beat anyone on a given night is something to appreciate. Especially with no Donnal, Walton and LeVert.

Can't think of a coach who does more with less. I will miss this guy when he retires.

I think BAD is a strong statement. Are we a top 25 team? No. But a bad team does not win that game

Don't like this thread. It's not time to celebrate yet.

I AM NOT GOING TO START FREAKING OUT. I AM GOING TO SIT IN A CORNER AND NOT DO ANYTHING.
|1 year 49 weeks ago||Fair||
That's fair, I just didn't think this was a team destined for greatness, they lost too much talent and there isn't a true scorer to go to.
|1 year 49 weeks ago||Maybe||
Maybe I'm missing your schtick but do you have a positive thought ever? You must not remember the ellerbe days.
|1 year 51 weeks ago||Nice to see||
All the sky is falling fans around here. Yes this loss sucks, but it doesn't mean that the season is over. Not much you can do when a team shoots that high of a percentage on some contested threes. Young team coming off a big win, let's see how they do next week against Arizona and just accept this is not a final four team.

As a cop in charlottesville, I can admit it's like this, but on a smaller scale. However, basketball season it gets pretty crazy.

Hackett can drop the mic, that was the press conference I was looking for

I feel like that Beilein article needs to be pinned. In an age of of shady recruiting and seemingly entitiled coaches, it's incredible to know where he came from. I know it's been hammered to death but I could not be happier that we have him as our coach.
