Mates,

A beautiful Saturday up north, time to do the chores and light the BBQ, possibly have a beverage.   You will have sparty taking on Maryland in a few minutes, too.

1.  What's for dinner?

2.  What's in your glass?

3.  Watching hoops, rooting for Maryland, and how do you think we do tomorrow v. ohio?

Hope you have a very productive and fun Saturday

Five Guys for dinner.  A large fry serves three... with left overs!

Bought a four bottle sample pack of Glenmorange single malt Scotch.  Trying a little of each.

Beat Ohio.  In everything and always.

I recently found a way to reheat fries. It’s been a huge mystery for me for years. I use an oven or a toaster oven. I salt up the fires a little. Place them at 300 for about 5 minutes. They will be just a little crispier, but not have that nasty potato reheat taste.

A little pork on the grill, some gin & tonic for the drink  and reviewing the weather to see if fishing on the gulf is a possibility tomorrow.  Go BLUE!!

Hey Eyb, I store beer in my basement. I have bottles of Belgian Strongs that are 3-4 years old. Cool dark storage is the key. As far as the Spaten, picked up 4 cases in October from Costco. Down to my last six pack ?. Rotating Yuengling in after the Spaten is gone. Black and Tan and Golden pilsner.

XM and friends,

In a long line at Terry Black’s in Austin, TX.  Supposedly worth the wait for their BBQ... Had a small amount of some first class Texas moonshine and a local Pecan Porter last night. Wife is at bar surprising me as I wait in the line.

512 Pecan Porter, Austin. They described it as:

Nearly black in color, (512) Pecan Porter is made with Organic US 2-row and copious amounts of Crystal malt, along with Baird’s Chocolate and Black malts. Its full body and malty sweetness are balanced with subtle pecan aroma and flavor from locally grown pecans. Yet another true Austin original!

i describe it as: rich and delicious

I live in Okemos, a stones throw from MSU.  The good news is Good Bites no joke Nachos with pulled pork for dinner is great and Ozone Brewery in Old Town has some great beers - I am drinking Liquid Art - a barrel aged ale...

I had to make a run to pick up feline blood product in the worst part of Lansing a couple years back. I think it was as bad as it gets in the first world. Literally looks like a war zone. I'm not even saying that in a mocking way. It was downright sad.

Currently drinking Blueberry Maple Stout from the Saugatuck Brewing Co. It is absolutely phenomenal

Yes, but only indoors at home on my exercise bike. That and drinking a lot of water, eating as much fresh fruit as possible despite not having much of an appetite.  When I stepped on the scale this morning I was 7 lbs lighter than last weekend.

Had my flu shot back in mid November and tested negative for influenza A and B this week, and no, I haven't traveled anywhere other than last Friday to Yost for ND @UofM hockey.
