Thanks. Like Blau said above, I think I need to learn more about RPO concepts. I know there is a lot of content out there, but I still fail to diagnose those concepts unless they are incredibly obvious.
Sling didin't offer BTN or Fox. I switched to Vue, but still didn't have BTN. Now that they are raising the price of their basic package from $30 to $40, it's not worth its shortcomings. I am switching to HULU next week. Same price as the new Vue price and Offers BTN, Fox, and all the ESPNs including ESPNU (Vue doesn't have the U, so a lot of streaming games aren't available).
This is only important if you want to watch a few of the lesser watched teams. But this past week it I tried to watch a bunch of close games of the little guys because most of the prime-time match up were blow-outs - no joy, didn't have the U, so I couldn't.
It should be noted that I live in an area with no cable. Our options are streaming services or satellite. With the price of by internet ($50) and the price of programming ($40), I am rapidly approaching what a decent cable bundle would cost. Still, at least the streaming service doesn't require a contract. If I want to trade HULU for Sling Orange ($20) after the season, I can without any hassle.
One last note. I would consider YouTube, but it isn't offered at our location, yet.
So I leveraged that into a new Jordan coaches hat, coaches sweatshirt and a pair of Walmart khakis.
For reference I'm 6'1'', 200 lbs.
The shirt, an XL, fits pretty true to size. It's maybe a touch small.
Hat was large. Depending on brand I wear from a 7 1/8 to 7 3/8. I ordered on the larger end because I didn't want it to be too small. It was huge. I sent it back and went for the 7 1/8. I'm worried it might be a little big, but wool shrinks, so it should work.
Finish of both products was nice. the interior of the sweatshirt has a good feel and texture to it. They seem like they will last; at least, I hope they will.
Bonus: Houses on base all have flag pole mounts off the front porches. Wife said she got sick of seeing all the OSU and ND flags and bought me a new Michigan flag to display. I think I'll keep her.
Edit: I tried to buy the above items from MDen, but they were out of everything. Went to http://www.collegefootballstore.com/. They had everything in stock.
I thought I remeber folks saying Nebraska would be ranked better if the medical school was factored into the total research dollars. For some reason it's not, so they don't qualify for the AAU.
But I don't believe you can truly have both without divorcing universities and pay-to-play sports. Sports are supposed to be the supplement to academics to create a well rounded Renaissance man. As soon as you pay for one but not the other, you elevate athletics over academics.
I think we do need a minor league system for basketball and football. But as long as schools are the de facto minor leagues for those sports the focus should remain on academics. And the only way I see that happening is to maintain some semblance of amateurism. I also believe a university fails (and many do; looking at you UNC) when it elevates athletic achievement over academic credibility.
We are now seeing the fruits of that line of thinking come to bear. I get that there is a ton of money involved in the whole enterprise, and concede athletes should get full cost reimbursement. Even more, I wouldn't be apposed to a small stipend that is equal to 16 hrs a week of working in the campus book store, or the like.
But once you start outright payment, based on value, or allow majoring in a sport, the whole academic mission of universities comes into question. No one can play a sport as long as one can use a real education. Emphasizing education is what the mission should be, and what I hope is the focus going forward.
When I have a morning flight out, I find it's cheaper to stay the night in a hotel and park for free, than pay for parking. You get good shuttle service, your car isn't in a dark parking garage and you don't have to scramble to the airport the morning of your flight.
I've found a trip over 5 days in duration to be the average break even point between a night's hotel bill and airport parking.
20 reasonably good channels for $20, requires no special equipment (can play on computer and hdmi to tv), and you can cancel anytime. We just signed up for 3 months and got a free Roku 2 out of the deal.
Can buy at Lowes. At the same price point, it is better than the Weber IMO. For instance, in the $300-500 range, Weber will give you cast aluminum end caps on a steel enameled firebox. Broil King gives you a full Cast Aluminum firebox for $100 less.
Having a full aluminum firebox was really important to me, and the Broil King just seemed a better value. Webers are great quality, but not great value.
How 'bout the WASPs (White Anglo-Saxon Protestants).
I get your point, but "Hurons" and "Old Ass White Dudes" isn't the same. Besides, there are already the Celtics, Knicks, Vikings and the Fighting Irish.
Can someone tell me what the "academic exemption" mentioned in the article is? I'm guessing it allows teams to take a certain amount of non-acedemically eligible recruits per cycle. Who gives the exemption - UM, the B1G, NCAA?
On how average baseball players are often amazing cricket players.
Speaking of two sport athletes, is Jumpman going to do the baseball/softball uniforms? Cause it turns out dunking from the free-throw line didn't translate to anything useful on the ball diamond.
I was wondering if any one can enlighten me on these streams. The one posted last week for the BIG network worked, but I struggle to find updated links for other networks. I've tried googling and message boards, but haven't had any luck. Does anyone know a good repository for active links? They often seems to be of better than firstrow et al., so I'd really like to figure this out. Thanks.

Hi Frank. Go Blue. 05.19.2018.
Love the way they play on both sides with amazing chemistry. HAIL!
Any change would seemingly be better.
These games are taking way too long at the end.

USA! USA! USA!
The Bush block was mentioned in another thread, but watch Gary destroy a running back trying to block on the play that starts at 3:22. Wow

My favorite time of year.
Family has a cabin on Brevoort Lake, a treasure in its own right.
I'm guessing that is Air Traffic Control. FAA or Mil?
I'm stationed at Vandenberg AFB and we have about 40 miles of coast line and the fishing pressure is almost nil. Rock fish and cabezon are a blast.
Still, I would trade it all for a great fall day on the Carp River when the kings are running.
and they are fishermen the rest of their lives. Great story to hear for a guy with two boys and another on the way.
Congrats to him.
Thanks for taking the time to do this; it's great content.

XM: If I may shift gears for a moment gentlemen, coach Harbaugh vs. the hurricane, who would win?
MGoBlog: Harbaugh, Harbaugh!!
XM: Hold on, Hold on, hold on. The name of the hurricane is Hurricane Harbaugh.
"Myriad" was a noun in the English language before it was an adjective. Either way is correct.

I missed that one. For others that want to read it: LINK
It was reported on the edge of the internet that Michael Wroblewski received a scholarship.
I haven't read or seen it anywhere else (including his twitter) but thought it was good news, if true.

Are you from Eaton Rapids?
You get auto up votes from me for the foreseeable future.

You're right. Enjoy the free 12 points I gave you testing your theory.

Toussaint looks great, right now. It's awesome to see him playing well.

THIS ESPN article makes it sound like it's up to the school. If true, I wonder what the football program's cap on exemptions is.
