Jaylen Brown To Cal Comment Count

Brian

Uh, okay?

The lesson, as always, is that Tennessee is bad at having college sports. It would have been real, real nice to grab Brown but Michigan is still looking at a very deep roster that should see them have a nice 2015-16. C'est la vie.

When it comes down to it, as a likely 1 and done, it may have come down to the lack of a real coherent fit here. Irvin and Lever are going to get theirs, and what Dawkins did last year can't be ignored. Sure, Brown would been part of the feature, but it is hard to believe he was going the be THE feature of the offensive rotation. To me, this make the Kenny Williams development all the more puzzling, and disappointing, because I think he could have seen real meaningful time if Spike has to redshirt. Ah well, Harbaugh.

JB's stuff is too hard to learn and execute for a kid coming out of high school.  A one-and-done would do better to look elsewhere.  That's not sour grapes just how I don't think a one-and-done will flourish in JB's system.

Sucks for all those who count stars as recruiting wins but I'd rather have actual wins on the court.

When it's Michigan and Cal the only difference in academics is in particular programs where one will be better than the other. I would say he chose a level of academics over strictly a basketball team, unless he already was looking at particular fields. So even though academics seems to have been what led him to schools like Michigan and Cal it was probably something other than academics that made the difference between us.

and the California men are a million times better than any other man in the entire country!  Yum yum!  Can we not have this stupid blanket statement discussion again about someone's personal opinion of beauty and where they ALL go to college.

You're right.  I need to remember my audience.  Sorry for the rant.  Just seems to come up a lot.  Maybe that never factored into Jaylen's decision.  Pass on the xanax.  Thanks, though.

I think he's referring to them getting rid of Cuonzo Martin, who is now the coach at Cal and has since recruited the #1 and #5 players in the country according to Scout.

Still far from intuitive. What a weird ass turn of events. But this kind of crap is exactly why I don't EVER let myself get too hyped over recruiting anymore--I never even watched his YouTube stuff.

I love my Wolverines and I love my Cats, but how the hell do you choose two teams that have been title contenders within the last four years to a team that has never been relevant to basketball?!? Completely non-sense. Wish him the best, but what a terrible decision. Two best coaches in the game.
