Straight from the old coaching staff!!!
Let me first tell you, my brother in-law Allen is the son of a very important man at U of M. He has been close to all the coaches at Michigan since he was young (Bo,Gary,Lloyd,RR).
Well yesterday we had the family over and Allen walked through the door with ten bags of Michigan gear he got from some of the coaches. He told me he took what he wanted and I could have the rest, so like a kid at christmas I began going through all the bags and found almost all of the stuff is new. There is also alot of kids suff.
I also tried to find out what Allens dad knows, and how the coaching search was going, but he won't say a thing.

I tried to +1 this for its correctness but I'm getting ye olde forbidden.
Making a note here so that I remember to come back when tracking my old posts.

Sorry for the posting accident.

Specifically Santa Monica (the "Home of the Homeless") and for some reason the clothes they always give away to the homeless people happen to be Michigan t-shirts. My guess is that there are just soooo many made that the Salvation Army inevitably becomes its own version of the M-Den come Spring Cleaning. Anyways, when I first got into Michigan I had so much pride in the school that every time I would see a homeless person wearing a ratty Michigan t-shirt I'd yell "Go blue!" at them. I once even tried having a conversation with one of them about the recruitment of Ryan Mallet.
Anyways, now I'm starting to believe that the surplus of Michigan clothing is in fact due to the constant coaching turnover... Damn.

Say, you wouldn't happen to be from Southern California, would you?
January 10th, 2011 at 1:49 PM ^
Obviously the computer messed that post up. But yes, I am from Southern California.
January 10th, 2011 at 1:56 PM ^
Definitely that....or user error
January 10th, 2011 at 2:02 PM ^
I don't have one myself, but I'm going to get one real soon.
January 10th, 2011 at 1:48 PM ^
not to mention the second and third.
January 10th, 2011 at 1:49 PM ^
You think Ryan Mallett looks like a homeless person.
January 10th, 2011 at 1:54 PM ^
MGo Board seems to have once again lost its voting functionality, so a virtual up-vote is all I can offer for that very funny retort
January 10th, 2011 at 3:47 PM ^
But please give it to fumanblue instead. He needs the points to get back from Bolivia asap. I think it's getting overpopulated there.
January 10th, 2011 at 1:46 PM ^
then brag, then tell nothing? ? ?
You gotta understand we're a little TOUCHY around here right now, friend. Now please go fork your well-liveried bad self.

So the new coach isn't going to use the same Michigan gear? He obviously doesn't understand tradition! We're doomed! DOOMED!
January 10th, 2011 at 1:48 PM ^
wondering if the Goodwill in Ann Arbor was going to have a bunch of amazing stuff
January 10th, 2011 at 1:48 PM ^
Not a good post.
January 10th, 2011 at 2:09 PM ^
nor yours
January 10th, 2011 at 2:57 PM ^
I, for one, think it's an excellent post. It seems to have united the fan-base, after all.
January 10th, 2011 at 1:49 PM ^
lol. Mine > yours. :)

It's never Lupus.
January 10th, 2011 at 1:49 PM ^
For what it's worth, I think this points to Gene Chizik being our next HC. This info is from a very important man at UM. He told me his sources have confirmed. This is not from DB, though so I'd take it with a grain of salt.
January 10th, 2011 at 7:10 PM ^
The salt industry is very thankful for this coaching search as their profits are bound to go booming.
January 10th, 2011 at 1:49 PM ^
It's only polite to share...
January 10th, 2011 at 1:50 PM ^
So you're saying we're switching back to Nike?
January 10th, 2011 at 2:03 PM ^
since we were wearing Champion Gear. I hope Brandon can bring us back a Champion.
January 10th, 2011 at 2:02 PM ^
I have a relative who is a coach for a non-revenue sport, so a significant portion of my Michigan wardrobe is leftover Nike stuff from when they switched to Adidas.
Perhaps I should create a new post to inform everyone of my cool story...
January 10th, 2011 at 2:30 PM ^
I don't think it's just that it is Nike. You just don't look good in a field hockey skirt.
January 10th, 2011 at 3:19 PM ^
It's been over an hour, and I'm still waiting for your post . . . .
January 10th, 2011 at 5:57 PM ^
Has released the following statement:
During the previous post, I noted that I would create a new Cool Story Bro thread. Some would suggest we should complete this post in a matter of hours, but this is a critical post for MGoBlog and it cannot and will not be made in haste.
Posters are an interesting, intense group, and although this posting process is time-consuming and somewhat demanding, it is an honor to represent MGoBlog and discuss our football program's needs and opportunities with a variety of impressive posters and/or people who can offer valuable advice and input. The process is proceeding with careful consideration as to the content, effectiveness, and pithiness that various posts would bring to our board.
I am sure all of the news reports are interesting for our post, but I am too busy to follow the majority of the news except to hear some pretty wild stories about "what I type." The last week should be a reminder to everyone not to believe everything you read or hear. Some of the so-called "news reports" over the past week have been simply ridiculous.
It is time for me to get on to the next thread. Go Blue!!
January 10th, 2011 at 7:26 PM ^
but needs more exclamation points!
January 10th, 2011 at 1:49 PM ^
So you are saying Debord is going to be named the new HC?
Thanks and cool starry bra.
January 10th, 2011 at 3:32 PM ^
I would totally +1 if I could right now...damn interwebz...
January 10th, 2011 at 1:50 PM ^
Your post brought back the 403 Errors. Way to ruin a good thing for everyone...
January 10th, 2011 at 1:50 PM ^
Hoek is just Hoke misspelled, Hoek is a village in Holland, also in Holland...Amsterdam, known for: grass. Who eats grass? Les Miles.
It's so obvious...
ps. Where can I subscribe to your newsletter?

Rodriguez giving away all his Michigan gear? I knew he wasn't a real Michigan Man.
January 10th, 2011 at 1:54 PM ^
RR or GERG?
RR looked he did all of his sweating on his forehead so maybe GERG was a pit sweat guy or maybe his hair just wicked it away. Like under armour wick away hair.
January 10th, 2011 at 1:55 PM ^
you because you're the kind of dude that would run to MGo and post a story revealing his name and the insider info.
January 10th, 2011 at 1:55 PM ^
However, I must say that RR and his staff exhibited heinous fashion sense during their time here. Logos, pinstripes, faux epaulettes, neon hues, short-sleeved outerwear over long-sleeved shirts, cold weather knit hats in September and clashing wristbands -- all very very wrong and contra-Michigan. The next regime needs only khaki, blue and "M" or "Michigan." Per chance did you find some articles in leopardskin pattern and long, stray bleached hairs? Curious.

Guys, look at this. Not too sure about this. We will talk about it 3rd week of January - Rich

Too much maize for Rich to wear on the sidelines. We've been over this.
