| 2 years 18 weeks ago | Hey now. |
Big is a masterpiece. As is A League of Their Own. Back off bro. |
| 2 years 18 weeks ago | Start Touching |
Hoke, Let the touching commence... But done touch too much or your fingers will freeze. |
| 2 years 18 weeks ago | Duke |
Fuck Duke. |
| 2 years 18 weeks ago | Pregame Circles |
I want them to keep the pregame routine where they run in concentric circles in opposite directions and then someone blows that whistle and they all run into the center. That looked awesome from the stands and was very intimidating. |
| 2 years 18 weeks ago | Either way it WILL |
Either way it WILL define his term as AD. |
| 2 years 18 weeks ago | His Tebow Contribution |
His Tebow contribution was working on his delivery to help him become NFL ready. That is all that I have heard attributed to Loeffler from Tebow. |
| 2 years 18 weeks ago | To be fair |
According to DB, Les Miles never had the Michigan job offered to him - so he never actually spurned us. It would be hard for him to accept a job that wasn't offered. |
| 2 years 18 weeks ago | The point is... |
Why not make the ultimate goal the highest peak there is to climb , and then take it one step at a time, one game at a time? Winning the B1G championship doesn't earn you the big money unless you win the Rose Bowl. Wisconsin won the B1G but didn't win the Rose Bowl. Auburn won the national championship and as a result made themselves $17,000,000. |
| 2 years 18 weeks ago | Optimism is one thing |
But blind optimism is another. Brian has said all along that he didn't think this was going to happen because Hoke was unqualified. He has been preaching this stance for the past six months and you shouldn't ask him to change his tune now. He obviously bleeds Maize and Blue - hence creating this fucking awesome site - and it's because of that that he feels so upset over Dave Brandon's decision and process. Brian is allowed to voice his opinion, and if nothing else we should all trust his opinion. I love America but that doesn't mean I have to support every decision every President makes. Brian hopes just as much as I do and just as much as anyone that Michigan will win every game it ever plays from now until the end of eternity, but he can also be realistic about his projections and expectations. We aren't a bunch of babies who need to hear positive news. He shouldn't demean us by only saying positive things. Please don't censor yourself Brian! |
| 2 years 18 weeks ago | Immediate Impact |
While bringing in a nice DT would be great - we do currently have a very solid d-line. As far as recruits who could have an immediate impact, I was thinking Dallas Crawford was on the top of the list - given our current secondary. Hopefully Hoke will call him and plead his case. |
| 2 years 18 weeks ago | Exactly. |
When Brady Hoke was at Ball State was his immediate goal to coach in the Mountain West Conference for San Diego State? No. His goal has always been to coach at Michigan. San Diego State was a stepping stone on the way to his ultimate goal, just like a Big Ten Championship should be a stepping stone on our way to the national championship. Being a national champion is no longer a "mythical" thing. Just look at the difference in the amount of money Auburn brought home for winning it, compared to what Wisconsin got for winning the B1G. A national championship is a very tangible thing that should be every team in the BCS conferences goal. |
| 2 years 18 weeks ago | Reason for that |
Hoke's DC at SDSU "invented" the 3-3-5. He is the reason they ran that system, not Hoke. Prior to him joining the staff Hoke had only run 4-3 d's. |
| 2 years 18 weeks ago | No we aren't |
We aren't bringing in a coach that ran the same system. Hoke's DC ran the same system - in fact some credit him as being the creator of that system. Before he joined Hoke's staff Hoke ran a 4-3 pretty exclusively. |

CONGRATS |
| 2 years 18 weeks ago | Not enough for me. |
I want him to be more explicit, just like I'm sure Denard does too. Does that mean moving Denard to slot receiver and running screen passes to him? Does that mean running the wildcat with him? Does that mean play action rollouts? Hoke has never utilized a dual threat QB before so I think these are reasonable questions for him to address. Why is he bringing Borges with him in the first place? I'd like all these things answered ASAP. |
| 2 years 18 weeks ago | If Denard Leaves Does Hoke Lose All the Love? |
If Denard transfers, who gets pinned with all the blame? Hoke? DB? |
| 2 years 18 weeks ago | Perhaps |
I was being naive, but I was never too concerned about Martin leaving for the NFL. He isn't projected to go in the top three rounds - and if Donovan Warren proved anything, it's that leaving early can be detremental to one's career. It would have been a mistake for Martin to leave no matter who the coach was going to be. Obviously it's GREAT that we have him - but I'm more concerned about Denard, and not just whether he'll stay with us - but how will we use him. This OC really scares me. |
| 2 years 18 weeks ago | Completely agree |
He is a stud. |
| 2 years 18 weeks ago | Not happening. |
Sorry but this is not happening. |
| 2 years 18 weeks ago | According to Jason Whitlock |
Who seems to rank Brady Hoke as his favorite person of all time, with God a close second, Wellman is the best strength and conditioning coach in the country. |
| 2 years 18 weeks ago | That game |
is a must win for Hoke. Along with every other non-conference game. |
| 2 years 18 weeks ago | I think |
Today was a luke warm day. |
| 2 years 18 weeks ago | For the record |
Whoever the coach is, I will support them and the program 100%. However, it really feels like in the past week and a half we cut off our nose to spite our face. |
| 2 years 18 weeks ago | You're right |
This whole situation was sabotaged by the stubborn Michigan fans who refused to let Rich Rod have a legitimate shot at making this work. All along people were out to get him - waiting for him to slip up, and then pouncing on him for every little mistake he made. At the beginning of this past season if you had said Michigan would win 7 games, most people would have said "that's about what I expect" and Rich Rod's job wouldn't have been in jeopardy. He should never have been fired. Our schedule is so favorable next year, and we have nearly everyone on offense and defense coming back. Next year was going to be the year. Our record for next season has already dropped from 10 wins to 7. If we hire Hoke and he forces a square peg into a round hole by starting yet another transition back to a pro style offense we'll be lucky to get bowl eligible... and we'll deserve the crappy results we'll get. |
| 2 years 18 weeks ago | Dear God |
Please let something happen. Anything. Literally anything. I just want some feeling again. I am numb to everything. I want to feel. |
| 2 years 18 weeks ago | Ugh |
Ugh, ugh, ugh, ugh... And so it continues. Kill me. |
| 2 years 18 weeks ago | Thank you. And good luck! |
Thank you for explaining. Good luck to you!!!! |
| 2 years 18 weeks ago | I'm confused. |
What's going on? |
| 2 years 18 weeks ago | Crowton sucks |
Awful coordinator. |
| 2 years 18 weeks ago | I was scouting the Rivals 100 |
I was scouting the Rivals 100 last night for recruits who have yet to commit, trying to find players that had interest in LSU - but weren't from Louisiana. There were quite a few (some even had interest in Michigan as well). Hopefully Les might be able to convince some of these undeclared recruits to join him in AA... Any thoughts? |
