Do you want T. Pryor to go pro?
While in Cleveland over Christmas, it was interesting to get the feeling of several tOSU fans on (edit) the tattoo/memorabilia fiasco. I certainly couldn't speak for all OSU fans, but there was consensus that Pryor was a bust, and that they would just assume he move on to the NFL now, rather than come back. From the perspective of these fans, the other guys could go too.
What about Michigan fans? What is best for Michigan in this whole debacle? I suppose it would help our chances at winning next year if they all left.
Also, it now is at the point where tOSU fans are ready for Michigan to become competitive again. They complained about the stands being less than packed and less than enthused for the Big Game last month. I have to say, I was offered a ticket to the game at face value, and I passed.

Yeah I'm with you, either way it really does not matter.
December 29th, 2010 at 3:02 PM ^
Yes, he should go pro. QBs with the ability to scramble have done a number on Michigan's Defense, and it can only benefit us. That, and per Mel Kiper, I would love to see Pryor drafted in a round that is outside his expectations as those close to him have convinced him he is the cat's pajamas, and by a team that intends to convert him to a TE.
December 29th, 2010 at 3:37 PM ^
haha "the cat's pajamas" .. love it
December 29th, 2010 at 3:16 PM ^
He'd definitely fit in with the WWE version of football that is the NFL.
December 29th, 2010 at 3:17 PM ^
I am just curious to see if he can spell pro
December 29th, 2010 at 3:30 PM ^
Man, if only he had been in a better educational system... he would dominate the spelling of words, man, dominate.
December 29th, 2010 at 3:23 PM ^
now that I have his commemorative football.
December 29th, 2010 at 3:29 PM ^
Can we also declare a moratorium on " ____gate"? It's tired and overused.
December 29th, 2010 at 5:11 PM ^
It's been overused since the 70's, but since it is cultural shorthand for scandal I think you'd have better luck getting Tressel to not wear a sweatervest. Pick smarter battles to spend your energy on.
December 29th, 2010 at 3:38 PM ^
I don't watch the NFL. I also don't want to see Terelle Pryor ever again. So if he goes pro, I don't have to ever see him again. Ergo, I choose going pro for T-Stank.
December 29th, 2010 at 3:44 PM ^
Pryor should redshirt for the 2011 season, and spend that year bulking up and learning the DE position. I think there's a lot better chance of him being a good NFL DE than QB.
December 29th, 2010 at 3:44 PM ^
I want him to go where he can domin8.
So....I guess he should go back to high school?
December 30th, 2010 at 3:43 AM ^
I may or may not have given you your 1,000th mgopoint!
December 29th, 2010 at 3:45 PM ^
Denying him the opportunity to replace those gold pants he pawned off and a 2011 Big Ten Championship. Come back TP (you and your fellow merchant mates) so we can whip your ass on the way out in the Big House! My official New Year's wish for sure! Done! Count it!

As a Michigan fan, I want him to leave. As a human being, I don't want to see him make the biggest mistake of his life, other than choosing OSU in the first place. It all depends on his ego. The chances of his being egotistical enough to leave but humble enough to accept a position change once he gets to the NFL are pretty slim.
Whatever the case, he is a walking "testimonial" for negative recuiters who want to point out that a lot of star players don't mature or grow into better human beings at OSU.
December 29th, 2010 at 4:18 PM ^
Another year isn't going to change his NFL prospects at quarterback and I don't know what other position he could play at an NFL level. If he leaves, he'll get drafted too high based on workout numbers and sit the bench for a few years while raking in some serious, although not first round, money. Personally, I think it's the best route for him. He probably isn't very employable outside of football, so I'd take the money now.
December 29th, 2010 at 3:53 PM ^
My feelings on Pryor can be summed up in the four letters "GTFO."
He doesn't deserve to plan B1G football anymore.
December 29th, 2010 at 4:06 PM ^
Wow he plans B1G football now too? No wonder shit is all messed up (and we thought it was all Delany's fault).
Just messing with ya BlockM, I know what you were saying.
December 29th, 2010 at 4:11 PM ^
I would be angry at you for locking that typo in before I could catch it, but I wasn't going to anyway.
That's gonna bug me all night.
December 29th, 2010 at 4:12 PM ^
Ha yeah I saw that and had to say something.
December 29th, 2010 at 3:53 PM ^
He's going to be even better next year, even he can't help that, and definitely better than his replacement at QB would be. I want all those guys involved in the tatoo frakas to split; a big shakeup like that might be just the thing to tilt 'The Game' in our direction for a while, who knows...
December 29th, 2010 at 4:00 PM ^
Sooner he goes pro means sooner he's out of football altogether which shouldn't be too long.
December 29th, 2010 at 4:07 PM ^
model wife ? What are you doing in OH?
December 29th, 2010 at 4:32 PM ^
Apparently there was just some kind of big holiday.
December 29th, 2010 at 4:34 PM ^
Europe or modeling.
Now in Chicago area.
December 29th, 2010 at 4:11 PM ^
I want to beat Ohio State no matter the costs, I don't care if they have the excuse that they were starting a true freshman or Joe Bauersman, whatever heightens our chances of winning.
December 29th, 2010 at 4:20 PM ^
I thought he already was pro. He already gettin paid
December 29th, 2010 at 4:24 PM ^
The last thing I want to see in the Game next year is a four-year starter on the opposing sidelines.
December 29th, 2010 at 4:27 PM ^
Either way I honestly see Michigan winning in AA next year, that game will be a MUST win. Which is kind of the attitude Michigan has lost in recent years with regards to The Game. (And no, that was not intended to be a shot at RR, just saying that its been 3 years of excellent OSU teams vs. piss poor to below average Michigan teams).
But if I were Pryor I would stay and try to save some face and show the fans/teammates/scouts that I've matured and can still improve my QB play. But it's hard telling with him, he's been kind of um...a loose cannon at times?
December 29th, 2010 at 4:29 PM ^
I hope he goes pro just because it would make the NFL Draft that much more interesting this year. There will be so much speculation about when he will be taken.
Also having Michigan not face a Senior QB is a good thing.
December 29th, 2010 at 4:37 PM ^
TP is a stain on the honor and tradition of the Big Ten. He can take his hype and his tattoos to the Carolina Panthers and get his brains beaten out all season long for all I care.
December 29th, 2010 at 4:46 PM ^
FWIW, the OP's comments about OSU fans' attitudes towards Pryor match what I hear...they don't doubt his effectiveness at the college level, they're just sick of his attitude and the crap that comes with him being the biggest name in the program...
December 29th, 2010 at 6:06 PM ^
So, assuming you lose more games with the starters going pro . . . how many losses is it worth to you to have T. Pryor gone? One? Two? Five?
This could go either way: you hold your nose because you dislike Pryor, but want the wins.
Or, you hold your nose because Braxton Miller is a freshman, who will lose a bunch of games, but it is worth it to you to get rid of the idiocy that is T. Pryor.
December 29th, 2010 at 7:56 PM ^
Not entirely convinced that Miller will lose us many games; he's played his best football in big games, and most of Wayne's problems came from having a really crummy OL. Beside that, not many people realize that behind Herron and Saine is a lineup of about 4 really good RBs (Hall, Berry, Hyde, and Smith). I'd go on record saying that losing OL will hurt us more than losing Pryor; Pryor is a huge asset, but he also tends to make the team 1 dimensional (the team winds up relying on him).
December 29th, 2010 at 4:49 PM ^
in other threads when the story first broke, but one B10 school who isn't having this conversation is MSU. They won't face Pryor again regardless (nor the other four entrepreneurs). Some nice scheduling fortunes for Mark Dantonio in 2010 and 2011 (at least for that game).
I'd rather beat OSU when they're full strength and thus have to listened to the inevitable excuses. But if TP or others don't come back, so be it.
December 29th, 2010 at 4:50 PM ^
I hope his career involves teaming up with Lief Garrett on some MTV 'remember when' program.
December 29th, 2010 at 6:08 PM ^
bout? Oh that guy!
Answer: He doesn't play for Michigan so I don't care.
December 29th, 2010 at 7:06 PM ^
He has a horrible motion and his accuracy leaves everything to be desired. He might end up as a WR, but his career in the NFL will be very short-lived. Do I want him to go pro...Yeah, but only because I believe OSU deserves to suffer like we and so many others have. OSU is due for a big fall from grace.
December 29th, 2010 at 8:03 PM ^
to jail.
Forever.
December 29th, 2010 at 8:30 PM ^
straight to hell or prison. Let's see if he can avoid the sack in the joint. Can't stand that piece of shit.
December 29th, 2010 at 10:22 PM ^
TP will never play on Sundays... He is a Ron Powlus bust without a NFL Europe to play a few months in....
December 29th, 2010 at 11:28 PM ^
Next year, so he has no gold pants to sell.
December 29th, 2010 at 11:44 PM ^
I stopped caring what he did the minute he turned down Michigan. Who in their right mind would choose Columbus, Ohio over A2 to live in?
December 30th, 2010 at 1:13 AM ^
going pro is, in this case, your method of saying he has no balls or class and he basically neg-bombed the whole OSU Community!
Absolutely...Prior, Go Pro. Remain the consistent loser you are off the field. Freaking louche! (Loser/Douche)
December 30th, 2010 at 11:36 AM ^
So we have another chance to beat him, hopefully badly, just to see his smug face on the sideline. I can't stand that guy.
