|1 week 1 day ago||Can season ticket holders||
please post how much they paid (Tickets plus PSD/game) so that the rest of us can point and laugh?
|1 week 2 days ago||Don't tell the 4th string QB||
He still thinks he is more important to the University than these damn muggles.
|2 weeks 11 hours ago||Who is this Barnett dude?||
I keep trying to find him on the field every week and they just won't show him!
|2 weeks 1 day ago||Again to clarify||
What s being described as "being worse than Hoke" is not the person but rather the situation one can get into. For example, Rich Rod is a *much* better coach than Hoke, but the situation was far worse (due to whatever reason).
|2 weeks 1 day ago||Just to be clear||
That is not what I am saying. I think the thinking is that Jim is a homerun, barring him everybody else needs careful vetting.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||Nothing solid||
I honestly wouldn't bet a dollar on it.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||Take this FWIW||
There was a window of couple of days when Hackett considered letting Hoke go but what saved him was data gathered observing practices and talking to players.There was ZERO indication that Hoke has lost the team. He strongly feels that if a coach has not lost his team, there is value in keeping him around (till the end of the season).
What I have heard is that his mind is absolutely made up to make a run at Jim H (regardless of outcomes of any games). If we swing and miss on JH, Hoke would have small chance of staying if we win out, because Hackett absolutely believes that we could hire a new guy and make things worse. He will 100% not let Hoke go *before* having something else in place so do not be surprised to see Hoke hang around till January (or even later if SF makes the playoff).
In summary, he believes Jim is a homerun that we should make a run at, there are worse coaches than Hoke we could end up with, and if there is a change it should be for the *better* or a holding pattern is preferred.
|2 weeks 4 days ago||He was a dick for stating facts?||
Pray tell how this is different from Michigan fans LOL'ing when some recuit says yhey are all about academics and then picks Alabama over Vandy, Michigan, Northwestern and Stanford.
|2 weeks 4 days ago||This class sounds suspiciously like the ones||
Also, notice how Ablauf did not say that General Studies degrees are actually valuable (and that Atheletes are not pushed towards it) but rather that Stanford had equivalent degrees. That is worst argument ever against the criticism.
|3 weeks 13 hours ago||Hold a damn rally every week in front||
of Schlissel's house. Make him so sick of this shit that he gets this done.
|3 weeks 13 hours ago||If Hoke is back Brian Cook needs to sack up and||
call for all season ticket holders to not renew, boycott the program in general (don't buy gear etc.)
|3 weeks 13 hours ago||Could Meyer throw the game to screw us?||
Hear me out, if they lose to Sparty they are DONE as far as playoff is concerned. Why not deny your arch rival the chance to hire a A+++++ level coach by throwing one game (and basically guranteeing 8-10 wins over the next decade?
I would do it if I was urbs.
|3 weeks 1 day ago||Nick B is an idiot||
for tweeting that. It was so obvious this was a troll. But I guess that is par for MSM.
|3 weeks 2 days ago||umm...then why aren't the||
stands full of people? Why are we giving away tickets for coke bottles?
If people liked the product and it is available at throwaway prices shouldnt there be more takers?
|3 weeks 2 days ago||I wouldn't have||
expected any better given your avatar...
(commentary on the DB in your avatar not you personally)
|3 weeks 2 days ago||Some more important questions||
So now how are you are going to act given that we NOW know:
1. Water is wet
2. Sun rises in the east
3. Al Gore invented the internet
|3 weeks 2 days ago||Good job sounding informed||
when you are hilariously wrong.
|3 weeks 2 days ago||Pay whatever it takes to schedule ASU again||
and this time I want 60 minutes of unnecessary roughness against those guys.
|3 weeks 2 days ago||Exhibit A||
Joey Galloway. That man has an IQ of a potted plant.
|3 weeks 2 days ago||Also it would be wrong to lump all||
athletes in one category. Vincent Smith gave a great explanation in a thread just a few minutes ago and showed that he really cared in listening to others in his replies. You one the other hand sound exactly like the stereotypical jock who would use the word in a derogatory way (When you say right or wrong that is my view, that is ignorance at its worst).
|3 weeks 2 days ago||I hope you guys also realize||
You are 18-21 year olds with little to no real-world experience running a business or heck even working in a professional environment full-time. Many of the folks you are referring to as "muggles" have all of this and advanced degrees to boot.Just keep that in mind and stay humble.
President Schlissel also made a great point that student athletes are just ONE of many stakeholders for an atheletic department. So we "muggles" are okay with you athletes having your say but it is idiotic for you to think you are the only constituency to have a say.
|3 weeks 2 days ago||Oh I get you man.||
I meant after Fred is done coaching.
|3 weeks 2 days ago||Awesome, just one more request||
Can you please come be the blocking coach? I don't care who is rushing the QB, I want Vincent Smith (or a RB coached by VS) stopping the dude in his tracks :-)
|3 weeks 2 days ago||I name||
Now go go do the deed in the name of the red god.
|3 weeks 2 days ago||Vincent, I believe you 100%||
but here is the reason I (and lot of other fans) are still upset. In one word "context".
If Mealer comes out and says "We love them crazy muggles in the stands. They rock." nobody would take that in a wrong way. Instead he used in the context of calling a whole bunch of people ignorant. Do you see why things went south rather quickly?
Now contrast this to what the Seattle Seahawks do...they call their fans the "12th man". That is how you embrace the fans and make everyone feel ONE.
|3 weeks 3 days ago||This||
one million time this.
But agents break those rules all the time.
|3 weeks 3 days ago||Take it from a Bostonian||
Dan S knows less than Jon Snow.
|3 weeks 3 days ago||Hoke would still go to the press conference||
and tell confused reporters that "he was aware but not fully aware" of his firing.
|3 weeks 3 days ago||The only monkey wrench would be||
if we qualify for a bowl game. In that case, you pretend to "evaluate" Hoke till he finishes out he bowl and hand him the pink slip on the 50 yard line after the clock hits 0:00.
|3 weeks 3 days ago||This makes the most sense||
Why would any big time coach sign on with an intermin boss and then wait to see if they hire a decent guy?
Just put the word out that the guy who gets JH's signature gets the job. Profit!
