Wife thinks I am crazy! What am I going to do with all these tickets?
So I have 4 tickets in the new indoor stadium club. However, I was able to buy 4 MORE in the same indoor club area for 2010 (total impulse buy yesterday w/ no idea who to invite). We live here in Columbus and I really not sure how we are going to be able to use all the seats, especially for the lesser games (UMass/Bowling Green). I did not buy them with the intent to just turn around and sell them, but would like to invite people that might otherwise not be able to go ... or those that really considered club seating but need to see it b/f they buy (I want to support the stadium project) ... or just really nice UofM folk.
At the moment I have not been able to find people to fill all my UCONN seats and will likely have a lot of seats avail for UMass and BG ... rest of season might be easier to get them taken care of, but who knows.
Thoughts? email me at [email protected].

I mean, I make a lot of impulse buys... But 4 club season tickets?
Sign me up for whatever job you have to bankroll that.

For the record, the club season ticket prices are the same as the rest of the stadium... it's just that you typically have to pay a ridiculously high PSD in order to purchase them. In this case, he was able to forgo the PSD for those extra 4 seats.

sign me up for whatever club seats are left and i'll parse them out to the MGoBlog community.

Yeah, but still, that's a chunk of change. A lot of change. For tickets he doesn't even have people for!

This is the same dude who's rocking a brand new BMW X6 M with the M1CHGAN vanity plate in Columbus...he's obviously rich out of his mind and has nothing better to spend the money on. NTTAWWT.

does he have any spare round trip ticket from California to Ann Arbor to go along with those tickets? wait...pinch yourself, only a pipe dream.Sounds like a very nice gesture though, im impressed.

Were you wearing a top hat and smoking a cigar when you made that purchase?
I made an impulse buy of Titleist AP2's the other day and stressed over it for days before telling my wife. Kept them in my locker at the golf club. I cannot imagine club level seats, with a further contribution to the Victors Club no doubt. Well done.

Hell, things are real tight financially here in my part of the world. I get stressed when rent the cart instead of walking nine.

How many mgopoints do I need to pay out? THis is one of the oddest but most awesome posts I've seen in a while. First the license plate, now tickets. You sir, are definitely able to create memorable threads.

If you would like to give them to me, I would gladly accept.
I'll even buy the wine and cheese for the tailgate!

Your reply does nothing to alleviate the popular perception of Michigan partisans as haute elites in the collective mind of the Big 10 underclass.
Wine and cheese? Too much gas for crowds...

How about Belgian Trappist beers and pate?

However, I think the initial OP represents the best of Michigan alumni though, making a boatload of money through the skills picked up with a Michigan education and being generous enough to turn around and share it back with the school and with anonymous but devoted fans on MGoBlog.

You mean you have 8 tickets for all the home games?
Going off what you wrote--pick the games you want to go to and save those tickets, otherwise the easiest way to get rid of tickets will be stubhub. Otherwise, if you have friends or know people who like M football, sell them the tickets and "package" games like UMass or Bowling Green with more desirable games like Iowa or Wisconsin. I must say, you have a nice problem to deal with...

Got tickets for the season... probably only going to go to UConn, MSU, Iowa, and Wisconsin. Would love to experience the club seats...

I am interested in some of the tickets. I am not familiar with club seat specifics, such as ticket prices. UCONN game is out for me but I am interested in other games. I sent you an email from my gmail account.
Anyone have a link to club seat info?

So many of us stuck in Columbus! I would kill for tickets. How much are you asking for them?

How much?

I have season tix (with the common folks) so I wouldn't try to weasel your offer away from those who don't get to the stadium all that often. With that said, your generousity is admirable. If you find yourself looking for a tailgate, you'd be more than welcome at my group's. It's nothing over the top. Just good friends drinking brews, throwing a little bag, playing some holdem. Leave your fat wallet at home though. We play for small stakes.

It is nice to know so many of us live in enemy territory in C-bus though!

I'm all set for tix but I'd like to acknowledge a generous man with a +1
I'd also like to acknowledge a man that conned the state of Ohio with the vanity plate. I'll find another thread you've commented on to +1 you for that as well.
GO BLUE!

i figure i will have that weekend available before grad school gets crazy

thanks

Good link, I think I've seen it detailed elsewhere, but that was a very nice presentation.
Quick question about donations, and I think I'm right in this just want to make sure: the $4k per indoor seat IS the PSL right? So it's $4k + ticket costs? If it's outdoor is $3k - $1.5k + costs of tickets, right?
August 31st, 2010 at 11:19 PM ^
That is why you started the thread, right? You've got tickets and nobody to fill the seats?
I'll give you 1,000 points for two tickets to UConn. Shouldn't be long before I break 2,000 again, either, which I will trade you for two MSU tickets.
August 31st, 2010 at 11:20 PM ^
+1 for being a good person.
I'll throw my name in with anyone who would be interested in getting tix down the line. Can't "help you out" (I laugh just writing that) for UConn but maybe will for others.

The title of this thread reminds me of Nigerian 419 scammers. "I have all this awesome thing that you want, and I don't know what to do with it! Please help me get rid of it!"
IUandUofM, I hope this ticket deal doesn't involve a Western Union delivery and a lot of vaguely American sounding people with two first names.
"Hello, this is Mr. Francis Danny. The depose King Nigeria has Michigan Football tickets and is your lost long Uncle Grandfather. Please accept this check that is too large and then refund me the excess amount."

I'd be very interested in going to the BG or UMass game, but I live in Arizona so would have to be able to plan ahead to some extent. My cousin, a lifelong Michigan fan, has never been to a game (has only lived in NY and AZ) and I'd love to be able to hook him up with a trip to the Big House sometime soon.
Shoot me an email at [email protected]. Thanks ... and your license plate is flat-out awesome.

And if I were your wife I wouldn't think you were crazy at all.
I can't believe you'll have much trouble getting rid of them (and I saw the other thread on this, which was awesome).
One thing you might consider is donating some to a charity auction. That's how I got my two club seats for the UConn game, as it happens. A family donated them to a fundraising auction I attended. I outbid other people to get them, and all of the money I paid went to the nonprofit. Of course, it would have to be a fundraiser that was happening this fall.
