Think the'll be for sale anytime? I know other Nike schools (MSU, OSU), sell them.
|10 weeks 4 days ago||One thing I can't find...||
And my kid is desperate to get them, are youth receiving gloves. I don't think they even make them, as I've looked everywhere. I know MDen used to carry Adidas ones. Anyone see any?
Just got a couple hundred in gift cards for christmas, but waiting until next season. I have one of the coaches hats, but honestly, I like my Adidas one better. But I'm picky with my hats. I literally have 8 of the same hat, just different brands. New Era, Adidas, and now Jumpman.
I think the uni's are nice and clean. No complaints here.

There was a 360 Fan Cam picture taken at the end of the 1st Quarter from yesterday's game? Anyone have a link to it?

Direct link to Michigan IMG Sports Network stream. Has live games, coaches shows, etc.

Not sure if anyone caught this at Youth Day, but I did. I don't have enough MGoPoints to post my own thread but wanted to share Crazy Harbs in action. Take a look! Drake Johnson doesn't have the team issued white socks on? No problem, here, take my sweaty one's I've been wearing all day.

They have to broadcast the game tonight. That's right... the HOME of the Buckeyes are contractually tied to airing the MICHIGAN National Championship game tonight. I'll be watching it, like everyone else. But love that it will air on their station.

Good to know there's some other UM fans here in the Lewis Center, as I get evil stares while out with my UM gear on, and my 3 year old son... he just looks at them, gives them a fist pump and yells, "GO BLUE!" His 2 year old sister is learning to do it as well!

Check out HearYa.com... no where else I go for my music, and it looks like we probably have similar taste.
They have GREAT live sessions, and some of the best recommendations... just look at their top list of the year and you don't have to look anywhere else!

A few I haven't noticed on here yet.
Audiogalaxy. Check it out. All free, it allows you to stream your music, directly from your home network to your mobile. Set up playlists, etc.
iHeartRadio - Not only can you stream live radio stations from anywhere, you can also build custom stations (similar to Pandora), however, there are NO commercials on your custom stations, as well, they have more albums than Pandora has songs. So many more options. And if only for one reason only, you can stream the UM football and basketball games for free! Nothing better than Brandy and Beckmann instead of some of those B1G announcers.
Sonos - Get a Sonos system at home... you'll thank me later.
DirecTV Remote - If you lose your DTV remote lite, just use this, and no need to be in the room or it facing the box. Works off of WiFi, also great for messing with your friends when they're all Ohio fans and won't switch back to the UM game.. you can control it yourself at their house!
ShopSavvy - Out shopping, see an item you like... scan it with ShopSavvy and find it online or at another store for cheaper, if available.
Swype Beta Keyboard - Love Swiftkey, but went back to Swype.
Handscent SMS - replace your stock sms app with handscent.

They played next to Hineygate, in 2009, for Ohio vs USC. They're not real Michigan fans... they go where the $$ points them.

My brother-in-law runs an indie music blog called, HearYa, that's great for discovering new music. They're always reviewing new music. And they also have a studio where they have bands come in and perform and they have them loaded on there as well.
Check it out...

Just want to make sure people don't have a reason to like Warden Tressel... we can all go back to hating him again.

I have it... love it. I've had the 6700, mogul, TP, and now TP2. Love the thing. I typically get the newest phone when it comes out... my brother just got the EVO. But honestly... I have no issues with the TP2, so I will not get rid of it. Some think they need Iphones or Droid now, because that's whats cool and on the commercials. And it seems like some companies are shying away from the Windows Mobile OS, but I love it and only want to use WM. I will warn you, if you're not familar with smart phones, battery life sucks, if you do a lot on them, which I do. But I like WM because it's a good mixture for work and personal use.
For example, I run Slingbox on my phone to watch games when I'm not around, also can run that directly into my car speakers for really dangerous driving. I also have Garmin Mobile XT, which is great becaus it works on actual GPS, not aGPS, so you get coverage when your cell service is gone. I also use Slacker Radio, to stream commercial-free music. I also use ORB through Kinoma FreePlay, so I can stream ALL of my music straight from my home PC to my phone, so no need to ever use my ipod or fill up my SD card. Also use WMWifRouter, so when I'm out of town, I can use my phone as a router for my netbook. Then if I want to listen to my Sirius radio and Stern... I just turn on SXRadio2 and stream Stern to my phone. Then when I park my car in a garage or far away lot, I use CarLocator to find where I parked. Then, if I'm taking a dump, I play a few games of Guitar Hero, Pocket UNO, or Tiger Woods golf... now if I can just figure out a way to wipe my butt with it... I'll be good!

My brother had an 80 yard punt this year... it was the longest in the entire NCAA last year. 2nd longest in his school's history. So he's got that going for him... which his nice.

I'd prefer to be referred to as "Twitter guy named GoBlueNColumbus, who happens to be a member of the MGoBlogosphere".
|6 years 34 weeks ago||Speaking from experience...||
My brother happens to be on one of your above stated lists. Quick background. He averaged 49.5 punts per game his senior year in HS. He went in as a true freshman and took the position from a 2 year starter. I can tell you his freshman year, as stated above, his average was about 9.52 yard/punt lower than his senior year avg.. This past year, as a sophomore, he ended up 1st team all conference. My point... it actually is a big jump from HS to college for punters. It takes time. 1st off... speed of the game is much faster. He was told how fast they want him to get off punts and it's night and day from HS. In HS, you typically did not have really anyone rushing you. In college.. everyone is trying to make a name for themselves and get on the field. His coverage team wasn't the greatest his freshman year, so much as they changed the up man a few times, just to protect him a litle longer. Also, I remember his first, "big" away game, it was a change for him. In front of more fans than he ever played and the crowd was into it. He had one blocked... then another. Got in his head a bit. He went from playing every down in HS, offense, defense, special teams, to playing 4-6 plays as a freshman, only punting. You get a bit rusty, standing there on the sidelines.
I guess my point is/was. A. It was cool to see my little brother on Mgoblog. And B. Expect Will to NOT have a lights out year. As all true freshman go... it's a change and it takes time. I have no doubt he'll be fine, but let's not all freak out the 1st time he's on the road and he shanks one off the outside of his foot, flying 12 yards out of bounds. It happens... be patient. Let him become a great punter. My guess is he will NOT average 44.5 yards in college his freshman year. If he does... the kid is a stud. Expect around 38/punt. But as long as the coverage team holds, he gets good hang time, and they protect him... all will be good. Sometimes distance really isn't as important of a stat. I'd rather have great hangtime and 38 yards, forcing a fair catch and no return, than a 45 yard line drive punt, and a 30 yard return. It's ALL about NET yards! DON'T let them return! If Will does that... we'll be in great shape!
|6 years 34 weeks ago||My experience with Slingbox on Gamedays...||
It's great... the reason I bought it was because I go to either UM games or my brother's games (He's also plays D1 Football). So when I'm at one game, I watch the other, if they overlap.
Sometimes it is choppy inside of the stadium. So what I do is I'm on Sprint, have a Touch Pro 2. I can get WiFi on it, so I pull the free, public Wi-Fi in the stadium and use that, rather than using the cell signal to stream while I'm in the stadium. It's good if your cable box at home is a DVR, so you can rewind if you miss something, or even pause if something else is going on. Where we tailgate, I have no problems wih signal strength. One thing to be aware of... Sling will pull your battery big time. I actually have an extra battery, just for football season. Sometimes I need it.. sometimes I don't. But good to have.
So the answer is... yes... GET IT. The other nice thing, if you have a laptop, you can use that as well. Clearly, not ideal for tailgating, but when you are traveling, it's nice.
