The selection has been made ...

There were so many great stories, and there is no single post that is materially deserving over another ... however, I did have to chose.

Even though the story was brief, the pictrures stole the show for me ... congratulations to Balrog_of_Morgoth and a fellow MGoBlogger TheGreatDantone!

I don't suggest wearing those get-ups at the Shoe, but you get credit for them all the same.

Please email me at [email protected] so we can arrange getting you the tickets and glove.  Please respond by tomorrow otherwise I will select another.

Go Blue!!

Just sweetened the deal ...

Please see my newly edited post with the addition of Jibreel Black's Northwestern game used glove as part of the offer :)

Tickets have been allocated

We have invited a Mott patient and his mother to tomorrow's game. I hope they will enjoy it!

I could not have imagined the response this post generated. I have over 200 emails, all with very compelling stories. I wish I had more to give.

For all those that wrote me, I wish you the best, and I hope to do this again soon. I will reply to as many as I can, but please forgive me if I don't get to everyone.

Go Blue!!

3 or 4 MSU tickets - Best seats in the house?

As of yesterday I was not expecting the need to offload tickets for Sats game. However, I have had 3 people cancel, and might have a 4th. The 3 or 4 tickets are on the 50-yard line, 15th row, the 4 seats that are directly on top of the tunnel enterance. I hate to sell those ... and might find others to use, but if you want to send me a note with an offer, I can consider it. Would likely have to exchange the tickets pre-game in A2.

Last question

Maize,

Did seat 9 start on one side of the aisle 9 through 12 (12 being the end of south side of aisle) then start up again on other side of aisle from seats 13 on?

Thanks!

Ok, I understand now ... they

Ok, I understand now ... they remove an entire section of seating to make the tunnel wider when needed (the right side if you are directly looking at the tunnel from the field).  Some photos have the seats installed, others do not.

Thanks Section 1 ... but was

Thanks Section 1 ... but was the tunnel also widened?  Seems like it was sometime last year ... as I said, I am a bit confused (because in spring of last year I have pictures of it offset like above and not as wide).  Here is one photo that shows the tunnel's center right on the 50.  The photo does show part of the scoreboard going up.

Also, is the raised section raised on gameday ... I think that was answered above, but I wanted to make sure based on last year's games.

Well it was a fun thought for a few hours ...

but I think it just is too far of a stretch to make sense, so I am going to pass on the idea.  Thanks for the feedback!

How about buying just one and call it "Desmond"

Not a joke ...

here is the company's website that is selling them if that helps:

I have indoor club seats available for many games

I have 8 total seats in the new indoor club seats.  Depending on the game I will have some last minute openings ... like for UConn, I might have 3-4 I can offer up.  If you are interested let me know at [email protected].

I was a guest of UofM, but you could have gotten seats on own:

Hope said

that his players worked hard on school work this summer b/c they had to take real classes since Purdue doesn't have a General Studies major.

grab refreshments ...

our parking pass will be next to stadium, so could be nice during half time to go out and grab a beer ... but not if they won't let you back in.

I went to UofM for undergrad and IU for Grad ... Michigan took a pass on me for their MBA program right out of school (they wanted me to have 3-5 yrs working experience) ... IU said the same thing, but accepted me anyway.  So that is why I am IUandUofM ... UofMandIU seemed wierd like Univeristy of Man ...

This one is very old school ...

There is one way ...

if you have legitimate interest in purchasing club seating, westside chairback seating, or even a suite, you can get a tour.  I had a tour given by Ted Ledbetter if you want to try to give him a call.

No,

I have never been over there on a game day.

I might have someone that would do that with you ...

Let me know if you are serious and I can hook you two up.

Pre-game benefits

A few things could be argued:
- In bad weather, would be nice to be inside, instead of slopping around in mud/rain/snow.
- If time constrained, you might not get a great parking spot (if you are running late) ... also, w/ the club you get the option to buy a parking pass so you can have your pre-game in a designated area that is would be more consistant (to meet up with others each week, etc.).
- Also, if you earn the right to be in a lot close to the stadium, I think those are the people that can take advantage of grabbing a jersey/helmet from their car and getting a signature from players after the game vs. going ALL the way back to whereever you might be parked and returning to the stadium.

What stinks is

I wasn't in Columbus during the Cooper years ... so I have only been brutilized during my tenure here.

Thank you for the parking offer, but one of the perks of the Club is you have the option to purschase a parking pass ... whick I intend to do.

I would definitely think the club seats would be

more appealing than "normal" seats, at least for 2010/11 b/c there will be a lot of folks that would want to "test" the club experience.

I am not certain about face value, but I think they may be the same as in the bowl ... but I'll ask.

Here are the tacks ...

so if you pick Zone 3, it will be about $1,100 after tax deduction per seat PER year. Good news is that you will be helping the kids, and piling up those priority points to get better tailgating parking and premier away game tickets!

I do not work for the university (I work in financial services) ... I am just a graduate and a crazed fan.

Cliff Notes

Michigan Stadium Club Seats are still available for 2010 (so you can get season tickets even if this is your 1st donation) and if you call Ted Ledbetter he will help you understand what the club has to offer and even give you a special tour of the stadium (serious inquires only)!

I joined, took a tour, and was very impressed ... I highly recommend it!

I wanted to make sure they didn't mind

me commenting on the status of the construction, etc., because they told me that taking photos of the construction was not allowed inside the club/stadium at this time.

I was so excited ...

couldn't stop sharing!

I was hoping to get opinions on the quality of the

angle of view and height of the seating in the bowl ... not so much the value of the experience due to your neighbors ... even thought that is important.

Here in Columbus,

the vast majority of residents are OSU fans ... most of which did not attend the university ... and they are some of the most dedicated fans I have ever met. I think UofM needs all the die hard fans it can get.

Don't get me wrong ... at

Don't get me wrong ... at least in my case, my co-workers and I jab each other all year long ... like I said, I can't avoid getting crap living here in Columbus ... so the least I can do is attempt to humble them a bit the few times I have a chance to do so ... they are ruthless to me here. I don't give any local folk here crap that I don't know .. don't want a punch in the nose.
