Picked up Marcedes Lewis (vs. Indy) off waivers, should I start him or go with Zach Ertz (vs. Ten)?

Also, I can play 2 of these 3:

DeSean Jackson, DeAndre Hopkins, Reggie Wayne. What do?

As a UW grad, I just have to

As a UW grad, I just have to point out Wisconsin has 6NCs, Minnesota has 5.

If I end up selling these they're yours for $420 if you want them. As described above, they're great seats.

I was trying to make a joke, no worries.  I updated the above post too - I'm not exactly looking to sell these over the board, I'm more interested about a spot where there might be lots of people in need of tickets.  Come to think of it, somewhere around the gameday set might be a good spot to start...

Ideally I'd know already...but realistically I'll know by maybe 1:30-2pm on Saturday.  If I find out sooner, I'll update my post.

I would LOVE the opportunity

I would LOVE the opportunity to pick up an accurate "throwback" UM jersey...  That's actually a really great idea, and I'm sure they'd sell like crazy

Cowherd is the ultimate tool,

Cowherd is the ultimate tool, but when compared to the other "personalities" on ESPN, Herbie isn't all that bad, even for a Buckeye.  He's a Big 10 guy, and after enduring beatings like this (both on the field and scoreboard), he always has shown a healthy respect for UM.

There's a lot for me, but

There's a lot for me, but what sticks out was standing in front of Touchdown Jesus after the the 2006 ND game, wearing my 1997 National Champs tshirt (and a shit-eating grin), watching the crestfallen ND Marching Band and assorted other Domers file past.  It isn't as sweet as it used to be, but man, I love me some noterdamenfreude...

During Summers, I worked at a golf club where he was a member...and he struck me as a dorky, goofy, old guy.  Very vanilla--he just blended in with the crowd.  Then I read stuff like this, and realize he's a STONE COLD KILLER.  Wow.   My opinion of him has completely changed.

wow.

That's some incredible writing.

mmmmm fisting

there's also a Cubs/baseball blog "fisted foul"

I have one made by Cliff Keen

I have one made by Cliff Keen (pre-Nike), #19, and it's probably the coolest piece of M gear that I own.  It's not exactly the same (and I don't know how sketchy the site is), but you can check these out.  I have a K1 hockey jersey, and it is pretty good quality.

I still ro back and read

I still go back and read "Nails" or "The New Math" when I need a lift...  God, how I wish I could close my eyes and when I opened them, UM was curb-stomping teams the way they used to...

*sigh*

Good

Good lord...this:

Unfortunately for Michigan, "good" is nowhere in the conversation when it comes to Michigan's pass defense. They're looking up at "putrid" and hanging out with "fairly good reason to go insane." I think they peed on my couch and tried to sop it up with a handful of crushed Cheetos. I do not mean this as a metaphor.

is very, very funny.

nope, just look like

Wisconsin girls do like to

Wisconsin girls do like to have fun...  I've lived there (WI) for almost 3 years, and the girls here fall into one of two distinct groups: some are very attractive, and others that look like they could line up next to Molk or Lewan.

Now go talk about how

Now go talk about how arrogant we are as you caress each other's soft places while whispering "what if Michigan never comes back" and we discuss whether we should keep Rich Rodriguez and worry about falling into a Notre Dame-like fallow period.

I play lacrosse for a MCLA

I play lacrosse for a MCLA team (not M), and I exploded my ankle real good about 17 months ago.  It was a very severe sprain--black and blue all over, I was in a boot for weeks, and my ankle hurt just thinking about running for months afterward.  The good news is I'm pretty much back to normal now and playing lacrosse at the level I was before--I can run, cut, and do everything pretty much the same before the injury.  That said, my ankle and calf still feel "off" or "weak" sometimes, and sometimes I'm afraid I'm going to re-injure it.  So, I don't know if my personal experience helps all that much (and I'm guessing Troy will have had better rehab than I did), but I guess my sort answer to "can he be fully functional" is yes and no.  It's one of those things that no matter how strong you feel, it sticks to the back of your mind when you make a cut or dodge.

...and don't forget to tip

I mean... well...it's just that...certain things have come to light, man....

I'd go with bullshit...

I agree completely.  Going by statistics alone, there's no one within his area code...and then you figure in the jawdropping plays and runs...yeesh.  ESPN is such a joke.

The idea is that if you have

The idea is that if you have to lose (or already lost), you'd want to lose to a "good" team as opposed to a team that sucks...  I think it's a mentality leftover from the pre-BCS college football era where who you lost to mattered almost as much as who you beat.  Personally, if I have to lose a game, I'd rather lose to a team that goes undefeated than lose to a team that goes 1-11, but that's just me.

For the first time this

For the first time this season, Denard looked like a kid who had started only 5 games...I'm not jumping off the ledge yet--I'll wait to see how next weekend goes.  Also, PSU got KILLED by Illinois, so one of those two has to be beatable, right?

all things considered

I'm more upset that we lost to MSU and D'antonio and the rest of the crew from "loudest talkers from no accomplishmentsville" than the fact that M lost.  I'm going to get too worried until I see how next week goes...

I missed it and couldn't find

Ditto--ND is, without a

Ditto--ND is, without a question, M's second biggest rival.  I grew up in Chicago, and ND gets a lot of love around there--so much so, that I would often find myself wondering whether I hate ND more than tOSU.  I love the rivalry (I've been to 5 M/ND games, and M has won 4 of them), the history, and everything about UM vs. ND.  That said, it makes me sick how ND flaunts their "independence" and "heritage," when all of it is enabled by playing 5-6 games a year against teams from the B10 and Pac10.  Like I said previously, if they didn't want to make the jump and play with the big boys year in and year out, they can go back to playing the service academies, BC, BYU, and Northwest Directional State Tech University for all I care...eff them.

I'll give you that we can't

I'll give you that we can't predict what the NCAA landscape will be in 10 years, I'd suggest that any potential loss of presige/SOS in M/MSU/PU/IU not playing ND will be more than made up for in the B10's addition of Nebraska.

I'd love to see the entire

I'd love to see the entire B10/11/12 stop scheduling ND...  For years they've played B10 teams yet kept their "independence."  Since they didn't join the B10 (and it looks like they won't), I'd love for the conference, as a whole, to tell ND to go pound sand...

I don't think RR told him to

I don't think RR told him to GTFO in so few words, but at the same time--RR was installing a completely different system and wanted to do things his way--where everything was earned.  For instance, Justin Boren left citing "family values" or whatever, but what I've heard around here was he wanted to rest on his laurels and didn't want to put in the effort that RR required.  I'm not saying Manningham was lazy by any means, but after being in Lloyd Carr's regime for three years, would you, as a 21 year old kid, want to bust your ass physically and learn a whole new offensive system for uncertain rewards, or make the jump to the NFL and get paid?  As much as we all love college football and think that playing for M or any other premiere program is tremendous honor (and it is), but it really comes down to $$$.  While I'm sure playing for honor, the love of the game and all those things we like to think they play for factor in, playing in college is the only real way for these guys to get into the NFL (as Maurice Clarett so ably demonstrated).  So, what I'm saying in a roundabout way is that instead of saying "hey, hit the road, kid..." I'd imagine RR might have said something to the effect of "We're making changes.  We'd love to have you on the team, but if you don't want to do XYZ after 3 years of Lloyd Carr's system, I'm sure you'll be able to find a home in the NFL.  No hard feelings."  Manningham and RR aren't dumb, but they both had very different goals in 2007-08.
