I can't get that high without a plane ticket and TSA pat down!
actually a ridiculous vertical if that is legit.
Now, if he can do any of the other basketball-y things required it would be really helpful.
My friend is so bad at jumping that he can reach higher by standing than jumping. Pretty funny to watch. And he was an athlete at UofM.
I will beat them senseless for stealing 4 plus minutes of my life for this thing? Seriously I will be going to jail after I find them.
You don't like hilarious things that shit on ND?
that video is bad........boring, slow, boring...........
Ace put that together, right? I remember when it came out, you could almost hear Ace gigglling like a child when reading that post.
MGoBlog memories..

Holy hell. New alley-oop specialist?
Must be the Jordans.
It is disturbing when you see stuff like that. That is a whole different planet of athleticism.
looks shopped because he's so high.. sheesh.
I'm hopeful this translates to running the offense, playing good defense and hitting shots.
Go get em, Ibi!
While others, not so much...
I always wondered how high that hoop he dunked on at the end was. Nine feet?
Woody was trying to dunk on a 9.5 foot rim and wasn't coming close. The sound woman went to his trailor and suggested he try yoga. He stretched for a half hour or so. While he was doing this, the crew lowered the rim to 9 feet. Woody came out and dunked on his first attempt and never knew the truth until after the fact.
Get up! Get on up!
(if you combine my 3 jumps...well 4, max).
Was just thinking about how many of my jumps would be necessary to equal that. Three would be the least it would take. Fourt wouldn't shock me though.
This is obviously not a white man!. You can tell by looking how high the tips of his fingers are! /s but only half sarcastic.
We need to find a way to get this kind of athleticism onto the floor for significant PT this year.
When I got to Michigan as a freshman, I was 6', 155#s, 32" vertical and I could only dunk a volleyball. I have small hands :(
Now I am 5'11 3/4", 215#s and my vertical is 3.2" Time waits for no one....
I was 5' 8.5" and I could just barely touch the rim. in my mind, I had some mad hops. now, 23 years later, I can comfortably grab the bottom of the net, which is still probably a foot from the rim.
Not that it matters. Roughly once a year or so I have a really sweet dream where I jump like a MF for a two handed slam.
In HS, there was a guy, maybe 5'8," who could actually do that (so could his brother.) The rest of their game wasn't too bad either.
must be your HERO!
FYI - My son and I are both 5'-7". He just bought a Spud Webb jersey!
5'10.5" and 145 with a 36" vertical in college and could dunk a (soft) volleyball.
5'10" now (loss of .5" of kneew cartilage) and 178 now -- pretty sure I can still touch the net.
I am about 6'3", and 20 years ago I had a measured 36 inch vertical jump, unusual for a man so white. I could dunk it anyway you wanted me to other than the absurd MJ free throw line stuff. For context, I could hit my elbow on the rim. Glory days....
But this, by Ibi, and past stuff from GRIII, even our departed Aubrey Dawkins, is an athleticism so rare its hard to believe. These guys could put their chin to the rim and look down through it.
Oh yeah? Well I'm 5'11.5" with a 12 inch vertical leap, give or take 5 inches, and I can't dunk. Not even close. In fact I've never touched a 10' high rim even with my tippy tips.
I am 5'9'' and I have touched a rim - on a stepladder, and then only to actually hang the basket. I would try it in a pickup game, but I very much doubt that I would be able to effectively carry the ladder and dribble, deploy the ladder while dribbling, climb the ladder and still shoot a basket. OK, maybe against Philadelphia or the Knicks, but not anyone aside from that.
wish we had a video but that's out of this world, anyone have an idea what GRIII's vert was?
The forgotten man on the roster with his first positive pub. We've seen guys breakout from nowhere before.
On a related note, I think Jon Sanderson might be the most important member of our basketball staff aside from Beilein. They're a perfect match.
Beilien: "I'm going to recruit high character guys with basketball skill who are young for their grade, and look scrawny but have length."
Sanderson - "OK thx, give me 12 months."
...phew!
Kidding. This is big time athleticism! Looking forward to seeing this kid put it all together.
Not even Nutso ever got that high... at least not playing
