QB injuries already?
The knee-jerk condescension on this message board is getting obnoxious.
I don't think that it is all that knee-jerk; we practice it a lot around here before putting it into the thread.
But in reality, it's a thread "worried" about the possibility of the 4th/5th option at QB possibly being hurt, and how that would affect the team. I'll say this now, if UM is down to its 4th or 5th QB, they are already past the type of preparation you can plan for. Hell, Baylor just ran the option with a WR at that point.
I haven't seen anything posted about Malzone. Someone on the game thread mentioned Malzone's hand was injured, but that's about it. Just checked MLive and nothing was posted there.
Malzone had no touch. He fired every pass at full speed. But he has plenty of time to work on it.
At a Division 2 school,
Will never play QB at Michigan. He's at best 4th on the depth chart right now, and I bet by the time the season rolled around if push came to shove and the other 3 QBs disappeared, it would be Peters over Malzone. He's a MAC level talent at best, and will have to transfer to that level of school to have a shot to play. If he wants to stay and earn a Michigan degree, more power to him.
His other offers football powers Bowling Green, Akron, Toledo, Wake Forest, Western. He's short, not athletic, and I haven't seen one ounce of tape that indicates he's a Power 5 level QB. If he has any ambition of regular playing time in college his only opinion will be too tranfser to a lower tier program, otherwise he's here for the degree. That's just the hard truth.
Most recruiting sites employ low paid recent journalism grads that watch some highlights and people take their word as "scouts". I think the highly ranked 5 star projections are usually correct, but that's like people projecting the top 10-20 picks in the 1st round of the NFL draft. Anybody who's watched football for 5 minutes can tell you guys like Calvin Johnson are legit.
Malzone got the 4 star bump because Michigan gave him an offer. Without that he would have been a nondescript 3 star.
The rankings are fun to follow, and definitely have some merrit, but it doesn't take a football genius to realize Malzone is just not a power conference level player.
JJ Watt and Khalil Mack were both 2 star recruits. If that alone doesn't shake your faith in recruiting sites I don't know what will.
His non-throwing hand had a collision with someone's helmet. I'm sure it was very painful, but I'm also sure that if that had happened during a game and he were our only (or best) QB option, he would have been able to continue. But even if he did somehow break it, not just bruise it, there's plenty of time for that to heal.
that Malzone had broken his hand. Don't know how that conclusion was arrived at, though.

Which is what I wanted.
Eh... a choice of weapons will do for now.
A few injuries to LBs as well...good thing spring ball is over. Time to heal up!
Uhhhhhh.....
Spring training is supposed to prepare you for the upcoming season.
Other than literally the last 10 minutes of Spring ball, he went through all the preparation/practices. He now has a few weeks to take a break, get through finals, and get treatment. I don't think he broke anything. I believe his had was stepped on and he has swelling. He'll be ok. Even if he gets put in a cast, he'll/we'll still be alright.
I was referring to OP.
You are very generous.
I couldn't help but to cut and paste your picture and send it to some of my suckeye acquantences. TY!! I told them that it was JT Barrett's throwing hand. Let them twist in the wind and research the fallacity of the matter. Who's got it better than us??? NOBODY!!!
Gotta love it
after he got done slapping himself in the head for sending out the "No Talent Required" tweet.
Because if your hand is that mangled you're probably bleeding out....right?
The top of his hand looked pretty bruised from what I could tell. But not gonna worry about. If Malzone is needed this season, there are more problems than a bruised, or even broken, hand to worry about. Just the thought of Malzone being needed this year brings a shiver to my spine...
is really rooting for Malzone. I hope what ever injury he has is not serious and that he recovers quickly.
Another significant injury: Poggi's ego got bruised badly.
He may never play again.
If he bounced that out to the right instead of plowing ahead, he would have scored.

Sounds to me like a cleat ruptured a blood vessel under the skin without puncturing the skin itself, so blood and fluid was pooling inside. Probably a nasty bruise on top of everything.
