Weber: "I'm Still Considering Them [MSU]"
Sounds like Weber may catch the game today in EL which on the surface is no biggie. Considering the circumstances around the program I guess the fact he is still considering MSU is also not a surprise. The term "commit" is not meaning much right now.
Per Wiltfong:
Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech Top247 running back and Michigan commit Michael Weber tells 247Sports he may visit Michigan State this afternoon for the Spartans game against the Wolverines.
Several of Weber's teammates will be in East Lansing and he said he may use one of their tickets.
"I'm (still) considering them," Weber said of Michigan State.
The nation's No. 13 running back according to the 247Sports Composite, Weber led his team to a city championship Friday evening, carrying just 11 times for 178 yards and three touchdowns, and adding a 76-yard scoring reception. He played just three quarters in the 39-7 win over previously undefeated King.
Weber is the country's No. 112 prospect overall.

I thought 2013 was the single worst football season I ever experienced.
Nope. This is worse.

Frankly, I can't blame him. MSU is in a much better state right now as a program.

the "easy W" - Have you not watched MSU this year? Or how they play us ever?
Dantonio and crew get these kids ready for a street fight, where Brady prepares them for a football game. Thats the difference. Michigan comes with a game plan, and MSU comes with a chip on their shoulder. Now they have an offense, I dont expect for this to be an "easy" W. Honestly, I hope we win, but im not expecting much.
October 25th, 2014 at 11:08 AM ^
Does this gameplan you speak of include manball, physicalness and technique, or do you think we might see, you know, an actual gameplan.
I would be happy to see something resembling blocking today....not believiing I will really want to do anything more than poke my own eyes out by halftime in reality.
October 25th, 2014 at 11:08 AM ^
I read his comment as a joke....Do you think anyone really thinks this is an "easy win"?

If the present regime comes back en-toto we might be fondly reminiscing about 2014 as "the good old days".

October 25th, 2014 at 10:42 AM ^
Uh-oh, this could be disastrous. I mean, how is Michigan's winning streak against MSU going to continue if Dantonio gets the upper hand in recruiting?
October 25th, 2014 at 10:44 AM ^
And you look at Michigan's player development, what would you say about it?

Take the entire class away, hell take Peppers if it means we'll be good again. And not normal good, no, Arrogant Michigan good. Other schools call it elite.
3 losses before postseason is a bad year, 2 losses is decent, but we compete for national postseason championships.
October 25th, 2014 at 10:58 AM ^
I only got to catch the end of the "arrogant Michigan good" time period. I dream of the day I get to truly enjoy it.
October 25th, 2014 at 11:32 AM ^
This is why Hoke needs to be fired at the end of the season. 1 small lost class won't be horrible. If Hoke comes back you may as well throw away the next class as well.
October 25th, 2014 at 2:42 PM ^
People going to have to swallow their pride to return to "Arrogant MIchigan" good. This would mean retaining one of: Les Miles (with Cam Cameron and John Chavis/Swag Mattison), Jim Tressel or any Harbaugh).
The Michigan fanbase members who have trouble with various of these candidates would need to stop the bs about "the right way" and all that emoting about "I don't want Michigan winning that way" etc etc.

Alabama's been down. Notre Dame's been down. Prior to their current run Sparty lost six straight to the great Lloyd Carr.
Michigan will be back because the admin. has about $82 million reasons to make sure Michigan football is back.

The academics or tradition don't matter much.
October 25th, 2014 at 2:38 PM ^
Here's what one of MSU's recruits from in-state said last year when explaining why he chose MSU over us: "They talk about tradition. I'm looking to the future."
I suspect that's how most recruits think.
October 25th, 2014 at 11:08 AM ^
No different than what Texas, Fla or Miami is going through now either. This program has lame duck status now and recruits know it as well.

Players cried about having to show up to work out in the summer and being cussed at by Rodriguez.
Everyone is different, there could be a few. Who knows about these players.

if players who were coddled by Carr thought RR was bad... these coddled ones have another thing coming if JIM Harbaugh comes next year...
Bells will be rung...

At this point I wouldn't be upset with any commits for looking elsewhere. Why would you want to play for Michigan right now?
