Wow. That reminds me of this free throw fail.
some part of me will never be able to laugh at anything App State does in sports.
Somebody should tell him he's right handed.
Winner.
I don't think that could have gone much worse. at least the throw was strong enough to make it to the mound.
Go go go go go go shawty
Just a bit outside...
Carly Rae Jepsen thinks that that pitch was right down the middle.
You play ball like a girl! (Sandlot, anyone?)
That's the worst throw I've seen by anyone older than 2 years old.
I just noticed something in that clip. How in the hell does GRIII NOT swat that ball right back down his throat? It's like he pulls back as it gently floats over his head.
I wonder why.
Looks like in real time GR3 realized it was over his hand which isn't obvious in slow motion. What you envision would be an all time epic gif though.
I was generally surprised GRIII didn't make much of an impact here as a shot-blocker. Could be something he develops in the pros. Obviously has the hops for it.
Because GRIII is high-fiving Craft on the way down.
Because in real time, he's trying to avoid a shooting foul. Absolutely the last thing he would want at that point so looks like he's playing it "safe". Again, real-time vs slow-mo makes it seem more dramatic.
and the lip balm made his hand slippery? what a wuss.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. No good can come out of throwing a first pitch. If you throw a strike no one cares except for a few people shuffling to their seats who might see it out of the corner of their eye. If you mess it up it's all over youtube forever.
I think if GR3 tried to swat he'd risk fouling the 3 point shooter than if he just played sound defense with his hands up.
He's not much better at that
I don't know how anybody could miss the plate THAT bad. That's turrrible.
He was really aiming for the paparazzi and missed him by inches.
It's not hard to throw a baseball in the general direction of the plate.
Is it just me or does that guy not look anything like 50 Cent? I'm confused...
Having three soon to be 6 year old boys I have been teaching them the art of throwing a baseball and it isn't easy. So to the poster above who asserts that anyone over 2 can do this I would disagree comepletely. However, it didn't take me long to get my boys at least throwing in the right direction. Even now, a month in none of them would be able to throw a strike from the mound, but it would go in the direction at least.
My point is that it is harder than most think, especially if you have never thrown a baseball before. At least it didn't roll to the plate, he just needed to straighten it out a bit (ok, a lot). I agree with the poster above who said throwing out the first pitch is just a bad idea. No one cares if you do it well and no one forgets if you screw it up.
Does this thread look like it needs one of those???
So he agrees to do it, what's the first thing you do? You start practicing. I would hope anyone who saw him throwing like this would have the decency to either show him how to throw, or convince him not to do it.
I do concede that this is a hard thing to do with the pressure, Denard's entire life was spent throwing, and even he bounced one in. But Jesus, it's so obvious that 50 has never been taught to throw a baseball.
