Oregon and USC go down

Ohio
Oregon
USC
Louisville
Buh bye
October 10th, 2023 at 8:26 PM ^
Wouldn't be surprised if UNC goes down to Miami
October 11th, 2023 at 5:55 AM ^
I don't think Miami recovers from last week.
October 10th, 2023 at 8:52 PM ^
Imagining ND running on USC brings up an image of a knife held in a fire then passing through room-temperature butter. USC's defense is absolutely abominable.
October 10th, 2023 at 11:20 PM ^
Yeah, but will they lose.
October 10th, 2023 at 3:46 PM ^
Georgia (1) at Vanderbilt - Not them
Michigan (2) hosting Indiana - Not them (the sequel)
Ohio State (3) at Purdue - Not them (yet)
Florida State (4) hosting Syracuse - Not them
Oklahoma (5) – bye - I feel safe saying not them
Penn State (6) hosting Massachusetts - LOL not them but gonna be a tuff one says frames
Oregon (7) at Washington (8) – both teams are undefeated - THEM (coin flip)
USC (10) at ND (21) - Also them. No D for USC + pissed ND = THEM
North Carolina (12) hosting Miami, Florida (25) - Cristobal LOL not them
Louisville (14) at Pitt - Block was clean but not them
Air Force (NR – 29th) hosting Wyoming - Thank you for your service not them
James Madison (NR – 35th) hosting Georgia Southern - Who cares?
Liberty (NR – 42nd) at Jacksonville State (being played today – Tuesday) - Who?

Some of us are old enough to remember when a much better OSU team got spanked by Purdue 49-20, way back in the old days, in 2018
October 10th, 2023 at 4:06 PM ^
If Brohm were still at Purdue and Purdue didn't...you know...suck, I would definitely have OSU on Upset Alert as that is the one "weird" team that OSU has had a history of struggling with especially in West Lafayette.
Alas, I fear that the Boilermakers have no chance of pulling off the upset this weekend.
October 10th, 2023 at 4:15 PM ^
I watched every minute of that game! I still chuckle when I think about it
October 10th, 2023 at 6:49 PM ^
rondale moore just scored again.
October 10th, 2023 at 4:48 PM ^
They need another cancer kid, stat! /s
October 10th, 2023 at 4:11 PM ^
The fighting RR's will beat James Madison.
October 10th, 2023 at 5:37 PM ^
I don't think so. The fighting RRs play Liberty tonight.
October 10th, 2023 at 5:56 PM ^
Yup, wrote that wrong. RR is on his way back to the top!
October 10th, 2023 at 3:47 PM ^
100% guarantee that there will be at least two undefeated left after this week.
October 10th, 2023 at 4:38 PM ^
Games could be cancelled, and then your guarantee is worth nothing. Also, world could end. Just saying.
October 10th, 2023 at 5:09 PM ^
how exactly would cancelled games nullify his guarantee?
October 10th, 2023 at 5:10 PM ^
he would still technically be correct in both instances (as we know, the worst kind of correct)
October 10th, 2023 at 3:48 PM ^
i'm going with Oregon and USC falling this weekend. Maybe some of the last three, but I don't know anything about them and I don't care about them either.
October 10th, 2023 at 3:48 PM ^
I'll go with Oregon, USC and Liberty losing this week.
For those who are not aware: Jacksonville State is coached by Rich Rod and they are doing quite well after moving up from FCS to FBS this season. They are currently 5-1 on the season.
October 10th, 2023 at 4:58 PM ^
Wouldn't mind seeing USC blow the doors off ND.
Either way, it's a win-win situation.
October 10th, 2023 at 6:42 PM ^
I don't like ND but I don't like USC either and the Domers season has already been relegated to non-relevancy with two losses so I am definitely hoping to see USC fall on their collective faces in South Bend.
USC looks like the paper-ist of paper tigers so far this season: comfortable wins/blowouts of terrible opponents and two uncomfortably close wins over decent opponents. I think ND is better than anyone USC has played to date and expect USC to lose multiple games in the back half of their schedule: @ND, @Oregon, Washington, Utah and UCLA. I see a minimum of two losses for the Men of Troy over that span.
October 10th, 2023 at 5:12 PM ^
For those who are not aware: ... after moving up from FCS to FBS this season
Literally had no idea.
October 11th, 2023 at 8:14 AM ^
Any chance for Liberty to lose is good for me...
October 10th, 2023 at 3:50 PM ^
Oregon, USC, Air Force
October 10th, 2023 at 4:57 PM ^
Yeah, don't sleep on Wyoming. They have what looks to be a good team this year.
October 10th, 2023 at 6:59 PM ^
Agreed. AF could be in trouble.
October 10th, 2023 at 3:51 PM ^
Georgia and Michigan are about as safe as it gets, they're both playing the bottom-est of bottom feeders in their respective conferences.
OSU is safe, too. If Purdue was another year or two into Ryan Walters' tenure I'd be tempted to call an upset, because crazy things seem to happen frequently at Ross-Ade, but I don't have much faith that Purdue is even close to being at that level.
FSU is probably safe, too. Penn State is not losing to UMass, although Don Brown will know how to scheme for them so I wouldn't be surprised to see them make a few stops.
I truly have no idea who will win between Oregon and Washington, but Washington seems to have the more potent offense and is at home. So I'd guess Oregon goes down, but it wouldn't shock me if they won.
I'm tempted to say USC will lose, but Notre Dame has come plummeting back to Earth these past three weeks and their offense looks completely discombobulated. I think USC will escape this one, but they are in for at least one, likely two losses this year. Their defense can't stop anyone, and when they run into a team like Oregon or Washington that can put up points too, its going to be asking Caleb Williams to do too much.
Don't know enough about North Carolina or Louisville, but how in the H-E-L-L is Miami still ranked? After that all-time disaster of their's?
Air Force will probably lose to Wyoming, though. Wyoming is 5-1, who's only loss is on the road at Texas in a game they kept close for a while, and could be a sneaky pick for an NY6 bowl.
October 10th, 2023 at 3:58 PM ^
how in the H-E-L-L is Miami still ranked? After that all-time disaster of their's?
As embarrassing as the ending to the GT game was, they're 4-1 on the year, and looked good in their other games.
October 10th, 2023 at 4:19 PM ^
I'm actually pretty forgiving of losses like Miami's. That was just one stupid boneheaded play which would almost never happen again. If they had actually been outplayed, I would be more likely to suggest they fall out of the rankings.
October 10th, 2023 at 4:49 PM ^
I think Miami will be highly motivated to prove themselves this week, and UNC will feel their wrath. They finish the game this week.
October 10th, 2023 at 5:26 PM ^
Depends on how Miami kids respond to their coaches mistake. That game will be interesting because if Miami loses they plummet right off the earth rest of the year.
On another note it won’t be long until Michael Irvin will be on air calling for Deion at Miami.
October 10th, 2023 at 4:52 PM ^
Are we 100% sure Notre Dame is better than Purdue? Im not so sure.
October 10th, 2023 at 8:32 PM ^
I'd take Purdue in the Mathlympics . . .
October 10th, 2023 at 5:11 PM ^
I’d ask the same thing about LSU, UK and Missouri but I know the answer to that question.
October 10th, 2023 at 3:51 PM ^
Air Force is going down. Wyoming is a good team this year.
[EDIT: Looks like Air Force for the win. I just saw that Wyoming's best skill player on offense -- RB Harrison Waylee -- is questionable for the game against AF]
October 10th, 2023 at 4:53 PM ^
Wyoming as home dog has been my money maker for awhile. On the road? Not so much.
October 10th, 2023 at 5:17 PM ^
Announcer last weekend said Wyoming was the highest stadium in FBS.
Somebody's never been to Boone.
October 10th, 2023 at 5:46 PM ^
Tim Brando and Spencer Tillman called that game so it would be perfectly on brand for them to say something incorrect and/or stupid.
October 10th, 2023 at 6:56 PM ^
It’s not Boulder?
October 10th, 2023 at 7:25 PM ^
Nah it's definitely Wyoming. Laramie's high... like 7k. Which is also literally higher than the highest point in North Carolina (6,600ish if memory serves), so not sure why Boone is being referenced as the highest, unless an inside joke is going right over my head.
October 11th, 2023 at 11:19 AM ^
We're talking about altitude?
October 10th, 2023 at 3:53 PM ^
Since PSU only scheduled world beaters in the non-con, assume UMass upsets the Nittany Lions, because they must be very good
October 10th, 2023 at 3:57 PM ^
I think ND beats USC. It took them 3 ot's to beat the Fighting Fisches, and ND actually plays defense.
Of course now that I've said that they'll probably shit the bed. Again.
October 10th, 2023 at 4:54 PM ^
Arizona's offense is legit. Not so sure about ND.
October 10th, 2023 at 4:01 PM ^
Brohm can coach. Already he has Louisville rolling. But I am surprised he went to his alma mater which is a smaller program, vs going to a big school. I hope he won't be a MSU candidate.
October 10th, 2023 at 4:56 PM ^
He didnt leave the Purdue he built in his own image to come back to the MSU dumpster fire. I think he is a Louisville fanboy Alumnus and there as long as theyll have them
