Can't win em all
days of the year.
Preferably 12.
Ah, we didn't want him; not a good fit :)
guess that's what everyone had him leaning towards... but thought we were getting close...
oh well, good luck jamarco!
Have to admit, I was more excited about the possibility of a total 11W meltdown than I was about actually having him. Good luck, big fella...
They only recruit 2-stars that are guaranteed BEASTS!!!
But in all seriousness, I don't see this as a huge loss. Good luck to this kid
Non-committable offer, etc.
I hear he didn't have the competitive fire necessary to play for Hoke.
Hoke looks for people that live, eat, and breath football. He said, "Jamarco, I want you to eat an actual football for me right now, son". But Jamarco wouldn't do it. Do not want.
/11 Warriors Da'Shawn Hand'd
by all accounts he's good, and he didn't seem like a bad guy. Just went the place that fit him best (that's not a knock).
But, the best of luck to him. Who does that leave as our next likely OL recruit?
CoAches might stay at two for 2014.
I wish the kid well and hope he has a successful, injury-free 4-5 years down there.
It's too bad out of his top 3 I think he picked the system that suits him the least. Oh, and it's also too bad that he picked OSU. So that's 0/2.
He'll likely still be good though, and that's what sucks the most about it.
Would have thought he'd want to stick with traditional Pro-Style smashmouth football vs. spread...but there may have been different factors leading to his decision.
Good Luck to him except when he plays Michigan!
this is gonna be billed as a head-to-head loss but i dont remember ever feeling like he was going to choose UM
It's fair to bill it as a head to head loss. We both wanted him. They won, we lost. No spin.
We move on.
Ohio needed him more than us, which i'm guessing influenced his recruitment. I was hopping we would get him just so ohio didn't get him though.
Either us of MSU. I honestly feel bad, it seems like every recruit Sparty goes after in a head-to-head has shunned them.
I feel bad for Sparty as well. Especially when I think of their treatment of Denard in pileups. Poor Dantonio.
I don't feel bad. Fuck their couch. I can't wait until they're back in the basement of the B1G where they belong.
Interesting to see if offer to another lineman goes out for this class or if that gets used next year.
The thought of only one scholarship OL for 2015 gives me hives.
One scholarship OL commit in 2015 class, I should say. Lorenz has repeatedly said this is a strong possibility. Apparently why Chuma Edoga didn't get the offer he coveted.
but its not like UM is hurting at OL. In the grand scheme, it'll all work out. Best of luck to him and I hope he declares for the NFL early.
So is UM out of 2014 OL targets, and if so, does this mean that 2015 OL Edoga gets the Michigan offer that he's been coveting so much? From what I've read about him, he's all but said he'd commit on the spot.
Not HOT enough
It must be the promise of going undefeated his entire 4 years at Ohio that drew him in. That, or Urban Meyer's extensive collection of Bratz dolls.
Wouldn't surprise me if we wind up getting a kid at OL who breaks out this season and none of us have heard of yet. Our classes are filling so fast these days we might be missing out on some of these kids (not that I'm complaining about our recruiting). Finley might be a good example.
