i would probably have Michigan 3-4th... i do have to say that i do not get the whole dotting the "I" thing! |
| 3 weeks 2 days ago | Agreed... |
its not realistic to compare Washington and Harvard to teams like Michigan, Virginia, etc because of the way they are funded. I was still surprised to see them finish 4th at Vails... whether they were gonna race the next day or not. The Vails field was stronger in my opinion that ECAC's. |
| 3 weeks 2 days ago | To be fair |
UM has had much faster crews in years past.. they didn't even medal at Vails in the V8 and the competition at IRA's in quite a step up from Vails, ECAC's, ARCA's, etc.... |
| 14 weeks 2 days ago | thanks for nothing morgan |
F! |
| 14 weeks 2 days ago | Morgan is killing me |
i cant even stand to watch him... |
| 17 weeks 5 days ago | i am not suggesting |
it should be illegal for girls to play football, i am suggesting it might be a bad idea... just because you can do something, doesnt mean you should. |
| 17 weeks 5 days ago | Anecdotal evidence |
is all I was going off of because its all I have experienced... and no, to my knowledge no one else in that league that year broke their leg, sorry i have not been tracking nationwide trends on the issue. Of course boys do get hurt playing football my point was the relative rate at which boys and girls would get hurt in early adolescense, playing football, might differ. |
| 17 weeks 5 days ago | Bad idea |
When i was in CYO league there were two different teams each with a girl on their squad and they BOTH ended up with broken legs... i know its not politically correct but its been my personal experience that at a certain point this becomes a bad idea. |

Only time I have ever wanted more Rutgers.... |

false alarm |
| 23 weeks 3 days ago | Don't think the Eagles are after Kelly |
i know some media have reported that but being in Philly, i think that's off base with what Lurie is looking for. He wants a guy who will bring in great coordinators and with no NFL experience I dont think Kelly is going to get those established coordinators. |
| 23 weeks 6 days ago | Denard was a given |
Plus i pretty much got used to the idea of having Devin back there after the last 4-5 games. |
| 23 weeks 6 days ago | perhaps i should know this already |
but other than Lewan which is a big loss, and perhaps Kovacs and Roh on D who else are we losing that has people concerned? |
| 26 weeks 6 days ago | Hill and now Harris? |
any concensus on which is more realistic or higher potential?

| 28 weeks 3 days ago | That's the only problem |
If you are a fairly one dimensional run team.. when that isnt happening or your down by more than 2 scores you start to run out of options. That being said, its a ton of fun to watch when your dominating someone by running right at them |
| 28 weeks 3 days ago | Straw poll |
if you had to choose btw what Oregon, Ok St , etc typically runs and what Alabama just did on offense... which would you prefer? |
| 28 weeks 3 days ago | Was referring to |
LSU, Georgia, Florida, Bama..etc. Kinda forgot A&M was even in that confernce but i chalk that up to Big12 offense which hasnt died a slow SEC death yet. |
| 28 weeks 3 days ago | SEC may be the best conference |
but not a one of their top team has an offense worth a damn.. and its not a matter of the other teams D being so dominant. They are just not that dynamic |
| 29 weeks 1 day ago | at this point |
i am willing to grasp at straws to take my mind off the train wreck that was this past weekend... |
| 29 weeks 1 day ago | Perhaps not meaningless... |
as i would have been livid with another MSU loss, but in terms of quality wins i don't count MSU. Personally rewarding, absolutely, but they stunk this year so i don't count it as a quality win. |
| 29 weeks 1 day ago | Hate to rain on your snowflakes |
but Iowa and MSU happen to be god awful this year so winning those two games , to me, is fairly meaningless. I can't help but worry about the dark cloud that is this teams offensive inability to be flexible with personel, tendancies, formations, etc. |
| 29 weeks 2 days ago | makes no sense |
you tell me Borges has been terrible for 2 years but your still not ready to get rid of him... how many years of terrible does one need? I am shocked at the number of people who insist on paiting an 8-4 season in a medioce conference as a "good season" |
| 29 weeks 2 days ago | total B.S. |
8-4 and needed a miracle to beat NW, who also happens to be the signature win on the schedule, and you want me to call that good? I am not ready to become that kind of fan. Have we fallen so far that we forget....THIS IS MICHIGAN FERGODSAKES! This isn't elementary school... we don't all get blue ribbons for participation. This team was mediocre, is a mediocre conference. Not good enough, no morale victories here. |
| 29 weeks 3 days ago | WR overhype |
Gallon and Dileo are serviceable but not what I would call grade A D1 talent... and ramon taylor doesnt inspire any confidence in me. Lets not forget our RB still seem pretty average |
| 29 weeks 3 days ago | and Lewan |
assuming he goes pro |
| 29 weeks 3 days ago | co-sign above |
lets not forget that the BigTen has been mediocre at best the last 2 years |
| 29 weeks 3 days ago | Green/Treadwell/Issac...? |
Could have nothing to do with it but If I am a top flight offensive skill player... i am not sure i am thrilled with what i see from Borges |
| 29 weeks 3 days ago | Why can't we have both? |
To say we are going in the right direction doesn't mean Borges is helping... These thoughts are not mutually exclusive. He's clearly been the downfall of a number of games over the last two years so if that trend continues, why should we believe the resutls will be any different. |
| 29 weeks 3 days ago | When you score 21 in the first half |
and 0 in the second half you got wildly outcoached.... How else can you justify the exact same set of players producing vastly different results. Meyer and his staff adjusted, Hoke and Borges clearly did not. |
| 29 weeks 3 days ago | those who defend Borges |
on what grounds... he was awful today and except for a terrible Iowa team, when was the last time he called a great game? Made me sick to watch that second half... looked like the entire game against Alabama |
