Michigan vs. Minnesota Snowflakes Thread*
*KIDDING
Yea the refs sucked, yea too many turnovers...but we just beat the #9 team in the country and we're 17-1! Our guys had a stretch where they played out of their minds too...that's huge on the road.

Huge win. Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuge. They controlled the play, when there was a flow to the game that is.
January 17th, 2013 at 9:21 PM ^
both sides thought the refs sucked.
January 17th, 2013 at 9:29 PM ^
At the end, the Minnesota fans were chanting their opinion of the refs.
Anyone know what they were chanting at other points of the game? Like when Trey Burke was taking free throws at the end?
January 17th, 2013 at 9:48 PM ^
There were a decent amount of chants calling out the recruit from Apple Valley
January 17th, 2013 at 11:58 PM ^
Yep. There were calls against the gophers that made me say, "Are you fucking kidding me?"
That was a very weird game in terms of officiating.

He had one of his toughest matchups of the season tonight. Cut him some slack. Anyhow, he had some key buckets/boards in the second half.

That was pretty cool.
Still, how many times will that be called a 360 (!!!) dunk when it actually involved much less than a full rotation in the air? Too many ...
January 17th, 2013 at 9:30 PM ^
You can revolutionize the name change by making the NBA and doing it yourself. It's awfully difficult to build enough angular momentum jumping when your body is still square with the basket.
January 17th, 2013 at 9:32 PM ^
356 dunk just doesn't have the same ring.
January 17th, 2013 at 9:36 PM ^
hahahahah. Lets get the protractor out, it's actually 355.7 degrees. Even better, lets rename the dunk the 2pi radians dunk!
January 18th, 2013 at 12:00 AM ^
1.976 radians.
January 18th, 2013 at 12:05 AM ^
1.976 radians is just a little bit over 90 degrees.
January 18th, 2013 at 7:03 AM ^
It is actually 113.2 degrees. MOAR SCIENCE. MOAR MATH.
January 18th, 2013 at 10:17 AM ^
Aww C'mon!!! I was told there would be no math
January 19th, 2013 at 9:10 AM ^
You're right. I meant 1.976*pi radians.

a HUGE win for the good guys. I can't wait a whole week to see the next game. Damn you BIG scheduling department!
January 17th, 2013 at 9:27 PM ^
Good Win. Interesting game the latter part of the second half. I don't mind slower Big Ten baskeball and the physicality, but that in ways wasn't fun to watch at times (and not just because Minny was clawing their way back). Overall the team played pretty damn well, though, and should be proud to have went in there and won. Hope they enjoy the week off.
January 17th, 2013 at 9:29 PM ^
non-burke ball handling is still a concern, and M's big dudes can't jump. Other than that, there aren't many weaknesses in this team. I think Minnesota ends up the 3rd best team in the B1G. Quality road win tonight.

McGary might not have good hops, but when he can physically match up against Mbakwe, that's huge. He played a solid game.

they need an entrance page before the boards that reads

So Spartan fans are immature, petty, and jealous? No news here. Here's something to consider, you're a fan of the University of Michigan...you win.
