I haven't even watched it yet, but I am already teary-eyed
That's my quarterback.
don't know how to embed video.
been my fav but Denard just may pass him for my vote. I am so proud of Denard.
I wish to upvote this past 5
Love Denard!!!
Watching his last game is going to feel like losing a friend.
had the perfect opportunity to trip him on the way up to the podium but showed great restraint.
What a man.
A class act all around, and happy to have him represent our University off and on the field. He even had Dantonio clapping after the speech...without interrupting!
He was pretending Denard was Kork.
Love this person!
for representing yourself and the university so well.
that's "flaarida."
dont want to lose him
You can tell how nervous he was giving that speech.
That's true because it's hard to bare your soul in front of an audience like that. He's a good kid.
Denard is a classic introvert; requires a lot of mental energy for him to get up in front of a group like that and provide a speech. I thought he did very well under the circumstances.
blank stare on marky mark's face? He was thinking, "damn yet another instance where Michigan upstaged me. What does a brother have to do to get some respect?"
Love how he quotes Lil' Wayne!
Hysterical!
Not sure if im going to miss anyone else when they leave the program like I know I'm gona miss Denard after this year. He really is a once in a generation athlete and person for this program
Mike Hart is in that same boat for me...
He may not end up with as many wins or championships as many of the greats in Michigan history, but in my heart Denard is my all-time favorite Wolverine.
I have to second that...and not only because of his skills on the field.
I've been watching since the days of Rob Lytle and Rick Leach -- but he's my favorite as well.
Denard is going to be on the same level as Desmond, Dhani Jones, and Woodson. Great players who are amazing people that continuously make Michigan proud.
Dhani Jones being in there is a pretty huge stretch. The guy acts pretentious in public. Wow, so proud.
I want to put him in a bubble and protect him from all hurt and pain the world has to offer.
dantanio's face during his shots in the video are emotionless. The vampire cometh
No one can tell me that I am doing wrong today, whenever I see your smiling face......
...I want more on them. Are there any good interviews, videos, etc with them?
http://www.michigandaily.com/content/shoelace-story?page=0,1
This might not be everything you're looking for, but the Michigan Daily did a piece on Robinson back during the 2010 season about his growing up in Deerfield Beach. They talk a bit about his parents too.
Its not a video or an interview, but its probably as close as you'll get.
He's come a long way in more ways than one. He may be the most popular UM player of all time. Love Denard!
Couldnt ask for a better person to be leading our football team. Cant imagine a time when he is no longer in the michigan uniform.
I remember the Denard/Tate year well... oh how far we have all come.
He's been through a lot in short time. And I'm proud for him.
We're going to really miss Denard next year.
That smile, that smile...oh my freaking God that smile. What a charismatic person.
I can already imagine how rough next summer is going to be for Devin Gardner, much like it is for Andrew Maxwell this year.
"So Not Denard, how do you plan on achieving anything, considering you're seemingly not Denard? Is there anything you've been doing to make yourself more like Denard? Do you have another name we can refer to you with by the way, perhaps an anagram of Denard so you'll have something to aim for?"
It's the first I've heard about Denard staying another year.
To take a page from the Michigan Football Hokebook, who is asking those questions?
...and all of the questions are going to be directed at you, such as, "What in the hell are you talking about?"
I'm hoping hoping hoping that Johnny from RUBAS will write something "eulogizing" Denard's career. I'm sure Brian's tribute will be great, but Johnny's work during the 2005-07 seasons (specifically his handling of Mike Hart) was some of the best-written, most touching Michigan-related work I've ever read. If there is a bat signal for him, Brian, would you mind checking the light to make sure it works when we need him?
For the newbies, check him out here: http://umichedme.blogspot.com/
There's some Denard stuff on there now, but it's not enough - if there's one guy I want to capture and regurgitate Denard's career, it's Johnny.
