I was at Zola Bistro the…

I was at Zola Bistro the morning of the ND game, and all of the Hintons (minus Chris Jr.) were at the table next to us.  FWIW Myles was decked out in Stanford gear from head to toe.  My guess based off of what we've all read, and not his apparel that day, is that he's pretty solid to Stanford.

OTOH, Hinton (Sr.) had an amazing #15 M jersey with the name plate of "Papa Hinton"

Trey is doing well after…

Trey is doing well after struggling alot his first few years.  Has defensive issues, but can score as we're used to.  Tim is the better pro IMO, and can be a successful player a team where he's not the best player, but on the knicks, he was the highest paid player with a massive contract that was 100% him being overpaid.

Sure - again would love for…

Sure - again would love for KD to come to NY, and there is definitely smoke out there that it's a possibility.  I just can't see him leaving the Warriors.  Unless, he and his good friend Kyrie have spoken ahead of time, and will join forces.  Them two and two top ten picks..could be something.

Also a knicks fan, and hate…

Also a knicks fan, and hate losing KP, but he wanted out.  Also, per a tweet I just read and am too lazy to embed:

"The Knicks could be staring at $74.6M in projected cap space for next season. That would be good enough for 2 max slots."

Granted - who the hell is gonna want to sign with them?  If they get lucky and can draft Ja Morant/Zion/Barrett, maybe then they can lure something....but as long as Dolan runs the team, they're a miserable organization.

The obvious statement is…

The obvious statement is that it's great to have a combination of both the tall jump ball receivers and the "fast little dudes."  I've too thought of the lack of high end (recruiting stars only) receivers we've been in on last year and this year.

However, I do really like some of the guys we've got coming in the slot/speedy mode.  Additionally, its 99% unlikely that all of DPJ, Black, and Nico leave after their junior years.  The 2020 class will be more important for height at the WR position, as they'd enter school while the DPJ/Black/Nico class will be seniors.

Martin and Ronnie Bell will obviously be around too.  We're in good shape here.

So Drevno out, Warinner in as

So Drevno out, Warinner in as OL coach?  Or something completely different?

So many jokes, but truly like the hire.  Knows how to recruit, has coached receivers at multiple stops, and has ties to schools down south.

TGIF

The work week has been brutal for me, so this northeast gross weather can't diminish the excitement I have for this weekend. I'm ready to posbang. Go Blue!

Shane grew up a huge UM fan,

Shane grew up a huge UM fan, gave everything he had to the University and the team over four years.  There's no chance (and probably never was a chance) he'd go to MSU.

I like this guy.  Smaller

I like this guy.  Smaller player who went from JuCo to Hawaii, put up massive numbers there.  Beyond that (which I found in a 2 second google search), I know nothing about him.  But I did watch the interview where he made this joke, and it was said in jest.  He also said he really likes Coach Harbaugh and said he was great for college football.  So yea, I like this guy.

This is true, he would not

This is true, he would not have been able to particpate in discussions about us directly.  However, it couldn't have hurt having a Michigan guy when debating OSU, State, Bama, ND, etc.....

I kid, I kid.....sort of.

What's everyone's opinion on

What's everyone's opinion on Meyer and Harbaugh?  IMO, there seems to be a genuine respect between them without petty insults or slights.  Sure, they have very different styles.  I hate Urban as much as the next guy.  But from everything I've read and seen, it seems.....civil?  I'm sure that won't last forever, but for now, it's just weird to me.

Yes.

Yes.

Thank you sir!

Is this open to other

Is this open to other alumni/MGoBloggers or just a special offer to WD?  I'm looking to get season tickets for 2017 as I am moving back to Michigan at the end of this year.  Both myself and my wife are alums and members of the Alumni Association.  I don't want to email Adam if it's inappropriate and figured I'd ask since you seem well versed in this process.  Thanks!

They most likely will drop a

They most likely will drop a few days beforehand but you'll still have the stubhub fees to deal with. It'll also be more difficult to buy more than one ticket. I've done both buying ahead of time and waiting. In my experience I prefer to have it taken care of and not worry last minute , but there will definitely be deals. FWIW this is their premier night game so tickets will be expensive no matter what, and similarly to UConn a few years back, it's a small stadium and there's many east coast wolverines so demand is going to be very high.

Seems kinda unfair. Guys get hurt, maybe we've had a bad run of luck, who knows, but to imply its due to sandersons seems unfair. He's been here 9 years, I think they'd catch on to it if it was his fault.

Agreed.  Hopefully Camp

Agreed.  Hopefully Camp Sanderson will help him add some much needed bulk to his frame.  That'll help him stay in front during post ups and not foul as much.  I have high hopes for Mo for next year.

Michigan is not breaking any

Michigan is not breaking any rules, that's for sure.  But I still think what Jimbo is saying is fair.  Let's not get carried away with the phrase "beat the rules".

No one thought about football making these trips before, hence Harbaugh beat the rules".  Again, Jimbo is saying he applauds with Harbaugh is doing.  He's not disrespecting him at all.

He is forever scarred, won't come near me when I'm around, and when I start to sing the opening to The Circle of Life, he begins to growl.

Good times.

I'm with you.  LSU for a night game during any big game is high up on my list.  Bama for an Iron bowl too.

This is absolutely a political thread, as the president nominates justices to the court.  Review past nominations, and you'll see how political affiliations are very much a part of this....like always.

I can't wait until he takes

I can't wait until he takes the overall spot.  A great man and representative of our university.  And though some other coaches may have more dominant tenures, Coach Beilein deserves all the accolades he gets.

Rest in peace Justice Scalia.

There should be nothing else to say here.  This is MgoBlog, not a political forum.

"I think he may have been our

"I think he may have been our best DL this year,"

Correction, he was absolutely our best DL this past year.  Wormley/Henry tied for 2nd, but like you said, when Glasgow went down, so did the entire line's dominance.

I agree over the next couple

I agree over the next couple of years, he could land at the nose (though with our OL depth, I don't know which way I'd prefer him going).  But I believe next year, any DL play would be in very short yardage situations on 3rd/4th down or goal line stances only.  Don't think they'll play him at nose on earlier downs.

Agreed.  But, you know, maybe

Agreed.  But, you know, maybe you should share with the board, for those who don't get it?

Dear lord what have you done

Dear lord what have you done to earn that massive negative point total?

Tell us more!

Great quick fix!

I really didn't want to work much today anyway.

This was referring to McDoom

This was referring to McDoom supposedly filling Oregon's last WR spot....i.e. no room for Crawford.

The ruling was from the state

The ruling was from the state AG a few weeks back.   A bit of old news.

I can't imagine being married

I can't imagine being married to a buckeye or a spartan, for that matter.  The only reason I can get away with my ridiculous antics and mood changes on Saturdays is because my wife, a fellow UM grad, gets more depressed and/or excited about the outcome than I do.

That's not to say she's a bigger fan, I just have learned to manage my emotions a little bit better with the help of my friends Mac 12 and Founders.

The assitants will definitely

The assitants will definitely need a raise soon, specifically Jordan (for his guard coaching prowess) and Bacari (for being the awesome Bacari).  I would love them to then tell Lavall he is the coach in waiting, and then publically announce announce it a few years before Beilein leaves.  Lavall is the real deal and will exceed as a head coach.

As a Rangers fan

I am very sad, and have been very sad since the trade.  I'm not huge on wearing jerseys, but when a M guy is on one of my professional teams, I've gotten them.  I got the Hagelin home jersey for the Rangers (first since my kid sized Messier one), and still sport my David Harris to every Jets game I go to.

Hags was universally loved by his teammates in NY, and though he wasn't a prolific scorer for the Rangers, his speed constantly put the pressure on opposing defenders and led to a lot of scoring opportunities.  Damn you, NHL salary cap!  Wish him luck in the future!

I'm with ya.  I'd much rather

I'm with ya.  I'd much rather play the US Military Academies than play Eastern Michigan and the likes.  It's cool to have those who will be putting their lives on the line for our own safety be able to play at historic stadiums, including their own, Munchie.

We expect U-M to announce
Which guys specifically do

Which guys specifically do you think are better who Michigan is a likely suitor?  I don't disagree that Kareem may be overrated, but DE is definitely a position of need.

Best of luck to

Best of luck to Khalid.

ESPN and whatever streaming service they used really stunk for this announcement.

We'll see what happens when

We'll see what happens when all is said and done, but it's really hard to to imagine, from an someone with no insider information, that all of these guys won't get 5th years.  If Kalis and Magnuson are starting, I can't see this happening unless they become NFL ready.  I could see this happening to the non-starters who the staff feels won't start their senior year and have an equally caliber backup.

I'll join

Best:

Red Wings, Spurs, Cardinals/Yankees, Steelers

Worst:

Maple Leafs, Knicks, Cubs (though, not for long), Browns,
